MUELLER: Henry m: 22 Dec. 1906 in Tacoma, WA to: Olga Torrison Married Saturday in Tacoma, Washington, were Henry Mueller and Miss Olga Torrison, both from here. Der Nord Westen, 27 Dec. 1906 ***** LONG JOURNEY, THEN TO BE BRIDE Miss Olga Torrison Will Go to Tacoma, Wash., to Join Future Husband STARTS JOURNEY TUESDAY Miss Torrison Will Wed Henry A. Mueller, Who Left City Two Months Ago - Society Interested in Event A journey of 2000 miles across the continent, a wedding and merited happiness will bring to Miss Olga Torrison, consummation of a courtship that has interested socity circles for some time, the journey uniting Miss Torrison and Henry A. Mueller who recently took up his home in Washington. Miss Torrison who is one of the city's most popular young girls will embark on her long journey tomorrow, the destination being Tacoma, Wash., and immediately on arrival will be the bride of a wedding which will join her destiny to that of Mr. Mueller. The wedding at Tacoma will be a quiet one and will be attended by relatives of Mr. Mueller who live at Tacoma and a few former Manitowoc residents who now live there and at Seattle only. The exact date has not yet been determined but it will take place very soon after the arrival of the bride that is to be in Tacoma. Miss Torrison will be accompanied on her trip by Mrs. B. Mueller, an aunt of the groom who has been a visitor at the home of the latter's parents here for several weeks past. Rumored announcement of the coming marriage of Miss Torrison was confirmed to friends who visited the home in a body Sunday evening as a surprise to the young lady and the news of her immediate departure was conveyed at that time. The party resolved itself into an informal gathering for congratulations and a farewell visit. About a dozen friends were present and the joyousness occasioned by the approaching nuptial event was tempered only by the thought of the loss of a friend so dearly cherished. Principals to the wedding that is soon to occur are too well known to necessitate an introduction. Miss Torrison, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Torrison, who, born and reared in the city has attained a popularity that is deserved. Her departure from the city will occasion much regret and the hope is expressed that the pair may return here some day to make their home. Mr. Mueller is a prince of good fellows, not in the generally accepted but in the literal sense of the phrase and during his residence here demonstrated those capabilities and evidence of business ability that will make him a success in the West. He is a son of former Register of Deeds, Bruno Mueller and at the time of his departure for Tacoma was manager of the Manitowoc Abstract Company. He is engaged in the same line of work in his adopted city. Owing to the preparations necessary for the nuptials, Miss Torrison was unable to accompany Mr. Mueller, as his bride, at the time of his departure two months ago and the plans of the young people for a wedding in the West have been a secret well -guarded from all except relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Mueller will not establish a home at once but will have a suite of rooms at a Tacoma Hotel during the winter. Manitowoc Daily Herald - Mon., Dec. 17, 1906

The deceased was born in Friedrichsthal, Bavaria, in 1818, came to this County in 1853, and was married the same year. She leaves a disconsolate husband and a sorrow stricken father and sister. She was a faithful wife and dutiful daughter and kind neighbor, ever ready to alleviate suffering or to help in trouble. She will ever be remembered, by all who knew her, with sorrow and gratitude. There is a home of sweet repose, Where storm assail no more; A stream of endless pleasure flows On that celestial shore. There purity with love appears, And bliss without alloy; There they, who oft had sown in tears, Shall reap again in joy. Manitowoc Tribune Thursday, December 1, 1870 pg. 1

Manitowoc Pilot, Thurs., Oct. 22, 1931 ***** HEARTS JOINED BY NUPTIAL TIE Many Local People Are Guests at Murphy-Schmitz Wedding Again, the current of social affairs, managed by the gentle hand of the little god of love, has led to the altar two young people in whom Manitowoc is interested and, in the presence of a party of 100 relatives and friends at Milwaukee, Wednesday evening, Miss Meta Schmitz and Henry Murphy of this city were joined by the nuptial ties. The wedding, celebrated at the Schmitz home, was a pretty, though simple function and was presided over by Rev. J.T. O'Leary of Sacred Heart Church of this city.
