The guests were invited and all the preparations made for a joyful marriage feast. At that point the new Marriage License Law came up and threatened to cancel the proceedings. So on Fri. the agitated Mr. Gressel went to the County Clerk Maresh and told him he was getting married Mon. Mr. Maresh was glad to issue them a license but had to tell him it would not take effect until Wed. Eventually everything was solved when County Judge Anderson issued a special license.

Jackel Mrs. Gunderson Called To Rest; Rites Saturday Mrs. Mary Gunderson, widow of Ole Gunderson, passed away at the St. Nicholas hospital at 3:30 a.m. Thursday at the age of 43. Deceased was born in Milwaukee July 20? 29?, 1884, and came to Sheboygan at the age of 11 years. She has resided in this city since that time, returning immediately after her marriage to Ole Gunderson at Two Rivers on November 24, 1906. Her husband preceded her in death in 1920. Three children, Rose, Rudolph, and Olga, all at home, survive. She also leaves to mourn her loss her father, Herman Jaeckel of Two Rivers, a sister, Mrs. Daniel Krieser of Manitowoc, and four brothers, Ferdinand of Waukegan, Ill., and Herman Jr., Albert and Arthur of Two Rivers. Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the home, 1518 S. Ninth street, and from the Bethlehem Lutheran church at 2 p.m., the Rev. H. H. Wegner officiating. Deceased was a faithful member of the church and of the Ladies Aid and Germania societies. Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery. Gutschow, 88, of Colby, Wis., who died July 29, were at 9 a.m. Monday at Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. John B. Pinion officiated and burial was in Colby Cemetery. Mr. Gutschow was born June 2, 1872, in Germany. He came to this country as a boy and in 1899 married the former Mary Schaller of St. Nazianz. They resided in the towns of Meeme and Liberty until 1910 when they moved to a farm in Marathon County. In 1945, the couple moved to Colby. Surviving are his wife; a daugher, Mrs. Burt Heise of South Milwaukee; two sons, Lester of Stevens Point and Norman of Colby; a brother, Henry of School Hill; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
