IRISH GENEALOGICAL GROUP OF MANITOWOC COUNTY

Here is some information about a relatively new genealogical group
forming in Northeastern Wisconsin:
Friend's of St. Patrick's, Incorporated is a non-profit corporation
formed as a result of the "Come Home to Maple Grove" Celebration in July 
of 1992.  The purpose of Friend's is to help maintain the heritage and
traditions of the Maple Grove and St. Patrick's Church community.
Friend's is run by a board of directors and officers elected annually at
an open meeting the second Tuesday of January.  Other meetings are held
quarterly, the second Tuesday of April, July, October, and January at Bob
and Elaine's in Taus, Wisconsin.  Meetings usually start around 7:00 p.m..

Future Goals of Friend's of St. Patrick:
Biannual newsletter keeping you informed about Maple Grove
Continued growth of the Genealogical database containing over 13,000 names
of descendants of the Maple Grove area
Latin Translation of Irish Catholic Church Records
*Preservation and Memorial of the Maple Grove Area
Cemetery restoration, including Potter's field.
Awareness of Social Activities of the Irish Heritage
Trips to Ireland, and Irishfest, workshops and reunions
Aid in doing your own family genealogy
And the continuing knowledge of the past, present and future of the
Irish who came and the Irish Americans who are in the world today.

Membership,
Anyone, anywhere with an interest in the Irish of Manitowoc and Brown
County area is welcome to partake.  A lifetime membership has been set at
$20.00 and $5.00 annually to cover mailings.
