VICTOR G. VOGL cemetery #89C Victor G. Vogl, 82, of Rt. 3, Two Rivers, died Thursday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. The Rev. Ralph Backman will officiate and burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mr. Vogl was born May 3, 1890, in the Town of Two Rivers, son of the late Henry and Mary Niner Vogl. He married Elsie Deffke June 19, 1920, at Manitowoc. He farmed all of his life in the Town of Two Rivers. Mr. Vogl was treasurer of the Town of Two Rivers for 29 years, was clerk of the school district for 25 years, served as a director of the Westshore Sportsman's Club and had been a director of the Twin River Livestock Shipping Assn. at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Leo (Doris) Warden, of Wauwatosa; two sons, Walter, of Wadsworth, Ill, and Arthur of Two Rivers; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Hindt, of Two Rivers, Mrs. Evelyn Murphy, of Milwaukee, Mrs. Charlotte Schepelman, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Miss Mary Vogl, of Milwaukee; a brother, Elmer, of Minneapolis, Minn.; and 10 grandchildren. ADELINE VOGT cemetery #44 Mrs. Ernest Adeline Vogt, 66, of 941 N. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died early Tuesday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Reformed United Church of Christ. The Rev. William A. Schultz will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mrs. Vogt, nee Adeline Winter, was born Aug. 6, 1906, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Julius and Mary Laugenkamp Winter. She was married to Ernest Vogt Oct. 11, 1928, at Manitowoc. She resided at Manitowoc all her life. She was a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) A brother, Calvin, preceded her in death. ANNA C. VOGT cemetery #44 Mrs. Herman P. Vogt, 72, of 1201 S. Seventh st., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospita., Manitowoc, where she had been a patient a day. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate at the solemn requiem high Mass and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The former Anna C. Voght(sic) was born Feb. 22, 1891, at Chicago, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Stadler Voght. She was graduated from Chicago Normal College and married to Herman P. Vogt Jr., Nov. 26, 1910. The couple moved to Manitowoc. Mr. Vogt died Feb. 13, 1951. Mrs. Vogt was a member of St. Ann Christian Mothers' Alter Society of St. Boniface Church, United Commercial Travelers, Homemakers Club, the Federation, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Maryknollers. Surviving are a brother, Andrew F. Voght of Chicago and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by members of the parish and St. Ann Christian Mothers' Alter Society. CARL J. VOGT cemetery #44 Carl J. Vogt, 79, of 1332 Rankin St., Manitowoc, retired municipal employe, died Thursday night at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. He had been ill the past six months. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Reformed Church, the Rev. Richard P. Schmitz officiating, and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Vogt was born August 24, 1874, in the town of Newton and in 1898 married Caroline Schmidt. They lived on a farm in Newton until 1927 when they moved to Manitowoc. He was employed for five years by the Manitowoc County Highway Department and then became Lincoln Park attendant until 1948 when he retired. Mrs. Vogt died in 1949. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ernst Schnell of Manitowoc; a son, Ernst Vogt of Manitowoc; three grandchildren and a great grandchild. Friends may call at the Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after noon Sunday until 10 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church. EDMUND VOGT cemetery #70 The death of Edmund Vogt, 37, at Holy Family hospital at 5 o'clock Monday afternoon, occurred just seven weeks after the death of his wife, Linda. The couple leave two small children, (private). Mr. and Mrs. Vogt resided on a farm on Route 3, Town of Newton, for the last 15 years. They were married in Manitowoc Nov. 5, 1923. Mrs. Vogt was the former Linda Pleuss. Mr. Vogt had been ill for some time. He was born March 14, 1901, in the Town of Newton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Vogt, who reside on Manitowoc, Route 1. Besides the two daughters and parents, Mr. Vogt is survived by one brother, Roland, Newton, and three sisters, Mrs. Edgar Born, Manitowoc; Mrs. Walter Born, Newton, and Mrs. Karl Schramm, Manitowoc Rapids. The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer funeral home from 7 o'clock tonight until Wednesday afternoon when it will be removed to the Vogt residence on Route 3. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the residence and at 2 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church at Newtonburg. The Rev. E. H. Klonka will officiate and burial will be in the Newtonburg cemetery. EDWARD VOGT cemetery #44 Ed Vogt, 81, of Hutchinson, Kansas, died at the St. Elizabeth hospital there Monday of injuries received in an accident Nov. 3, 1945, when he was struck by a bicycle while crossing a street. Mr. Vogt was born in Manitowoc Sept. 1, 1864, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Vogt, pioneer funiture dealers here. He has been a traveling salesman for a Kansas novelty company for the past 40 years, his territory covering Kansas and Oklahoma. Manitowoc nieces and nephews who survive are Henry Vogt, Edgar Vogt, Mrs. William Nemetz and Mrs. Edgar Hansen and several other nieces and nephews in Illinois, Oregon and Washington. Mrs. Vogt preceded her husband in death 10 years ago. The body will be brought to Urbanek and Schlei funeral home Thursday evening and services will be held there at two o'clock Friday afternoon, the Rev. Carroll Luther Hinderlie officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in Evergreen cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Friday noon until time of services. LINDA VOGT cemetery #70 Mrs. Edmund Vogt, 37, nee Linda Pleuss; died last night at the farm home near Newtonburg on route 3, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the home and at two o'clock from the St. John's Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Vogt was born in Manitowoc Rapids in 1900, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pleuss. She attended the district school near her home at Brown's Corners and also enrolled later in the Lutheran school in this city. She was married In 1923 to Edmund Vogt and they located on a farm near Newtonburg. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran church. Survivors are the widower; two daughters, (private), both at home; five brothers, Norman and Ervin, city, Harvey, Henry and Raymond, all of Manitowoc Rapids; six sisters, Mrs. Ehrhart Haupt and Mrs. Elmer Grosshuesch, both of Newton, Mrs. Clarence Baryenbruch, Viola and Bernice Pleuss, all of Route 1, Manitowoc, Mrs. Herbert Baryenbruch, city. SARAH VOGTMAN cemetery #44 From Der Nord Westen, 13 Sep. 1900: Death Wed. morning of Washington St. resident Mrs. W. Voghtmann of old age debility. The deceased was born in Pennsylvania in 1833 and came to Manitowoc in 1854. She leaves her husband, 5 sons and a daughter.


ANA MARIA VOIGT cemetery #65 TISCH MILLS On Friday of last week, Mrs. Voigt died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Mueller. Deceased was nearing her seventy-eight year when death overtook her. In the earlier years she and her husband, who survives her, conducted a shoemaker shop on the place on the Mishicot-Tisch Mills road where today William Benesh has his homestead. Later this was disposed of and the family moved to the farm now owned by Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller. Besides her husband two children, Charles and Mrs. John Mueller survive her. ANTONIE VOIGT cemetery #87 Death claimed Mrs. Theodore Voigt of the town of Schleswig on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. A Caesarian operation had been preformed on her last week Wednesday in an effort to save her life and that of her unborn child, and her chances to survive seemed good. Later, however, her conditon became critical, and on Sunday morning she breathed her last. Antonie Loos was born near Louis Corners, November 3d, 1878, where she grew to womanhood. On June 26, 1902, she was united in marriage to Theodore Voigt, and the couple settled on a farm in the town of Schleswig. Besides her grief-stricken husband she leaves three daughters, Leona, Verna and Luella, and the little baby boy; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Loos Sr., of Millhome. Mrs. Voigt was a loving and devoted wife and mother, giving her entire attention to the welfare of her family and sparing herself nothing that would add to their comfort. She was a generous hearted woman and a kind neighbor, winning the love and esteem of a large circle of friends, who deeply regret her demise. The funeral was held Wednesday, Rev. Kuether of the Louis Corners church officiating, and was very largely attended. Interment was in the church cemetery. - September 23, 1920

The deceased, who was born 02 June 1877 in Town Schleswig, leaves a widow and one child. The funeral was held Wednesday last week in Louis Corners.


AUGUSTA VOIGT cemetery #82 Mrs. Augusta Voigt, 77, former Kiel resident, passed away early this morning at St. Mary’s home in Manitowoc following a lingering illness. The deceased, nee Augusta Lumme, was born in Town Rhine on August 23, 1870, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Lumme. On Dec. 26, 1900, she was married to Carl Voigt. The couple made their home in Town Rhine and later moved to Kiel. Mr. Voigt died in 1940. Survivors include; four sons, Arno of Kiel, Alvin, Edwin and Gilbert of Sheboygan; one daughter, Mrs. Max (Ann) Reglin of Sheboygan; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers, Fred of Town Rhine, Christian and Jacob of Denver, Colo., and Ernest of Chicago. Six sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at the Meiselwitz Funeral home with the Rev. A. G. Fischer of Manitowoc officiating. CARL VOIGT cemetery #82 Carl Voigt Of Kiel Summoned Monday Evening Kiel—(Special)—Carl Voigt, 71, resident of this city, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Max Reglin, 1611 Michigan avenue, Sheboygan Monday, following an illness of two weeks. He was born July 24, 1869, in Saxony, Germany, son of William and Fredericka Grossheim Voigt. When he was 4, the family came to Wisconsin, and settled near Elkhart Lake. He was married Dec. 26, 1900, to Augusta Lumme, of Elkhart Lake, and the couple resided on farm near Kiel. For the past 25 years the family has lived in Kiel. Survivors are his wife, five children, Mrs. Max (Anna) Reglin and Alvin, both of Sheboygan, Arno of Kiel, Edwin and Gilbert of the town of Rhine; and two grandchildren. His only sister, Mrs. Charles Burgdorff, died in Kiel in May, 1936. Funeral services will be held at the Meiselwitz Funeral home Thursday afternoon, with burial in the Kiel cemetery. CLARA ARNOLD VOIGT cemetery #82 Mrs. Theodore Voigt, 64 The community was shocked on Wednesday evening of last week, when they learned of the death of Mrs. Theodore Voigt, aged 64, who had passed away at 10 o'clock that evening at her home near Louis Corners. Mrs. Voigt had been in the best of health. The deceased, nee Miss Clara Zorn, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Zorn, and was born on the Zorn homestead near Louis Corners on February 4, 1871, where she grew to womanhood. The Zorn homestead is now owned by Arnie Voigt, brother-in-law of the deceased. November 16, 1895, she was united in marriage to George Arnold of the town of Schleswig, and the couple located in this city, where they resided for ten years. In 1905 they moved onto the Arnold homestead, just south-east of this city, where they resided until the death of Mr. Arnold, which occurred on January 7, 1918. Four children were born of this union. On May 31, 1925 Mrs. Arnold was married to her second husband, Theodore Voigt, who besides her four children, four step-children, three sisters and two brothers survives her. Following are the survivors: Three sons: Raymond, Hugo and Arthur, on the Arnold homestead; one daughter, Mrs. John (Roma) Ehlers of this city; her aged mother, Mrs. Johanna Zorn; three step-daughters, Mrs. Louis Feld and Mrs. Paul Schroeder of Louis Corners and Mrs. Roy Voland of Rockville; one step-son, Clinton Voigt at home; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Voigt of Collins, Mrs. Rudolph Ruppenthal of Hilbert and Mrs. George Mattes of Rockville; two brothers George Zorn of this city, and John Zorn, residing near here; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon from the family residence near Louis Corners at 1:30 o'clock, and at 2 o'clock at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran church at Louis Corners. The Rev. Harold O. Gunwald officiated, and burial was made in the Kiel cemetery, beside the remains of her first husband. - June 6, 1935


EDWIN VOIGT (d. 1947) cemetery #82 Edwin C. Voigt, well-known cheesemaker, residing on R. 2, Kiel, passed away at the Memorial hospital in Sheboygan early last Thursday evening following an operation undergone about a week before. The deceased, who was the son of John and Emilie Backhaus-Voigt, was born in the town of Schleswig. He attended the district schools in the township and attended cathechetical instruction at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church here, and was confirmed by the late Rev. William Rech in 1904. He took as his wife, Miss Annie Mauer of the town of Schleswig on June 4, 1914. Since their marriage the couple operated a cheese factory east of this city on Highway 32. Mr. Voigt leaves to mourn his untimely death, his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lester (Sylvia) Vogel of this city, Mrs. Harold (Evelyn) Braun of Howards Grove; three sons, Milton, Edwin, Jr. and Roger; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Waldemar Reseburg and Mrs. Alex Holzer of this city, and two brothers, Oscar of this city, and Walter of Chilton. Funeral services took place on Monday at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church, with the Rev. E. L. Worthman officiating. Burial was made in the family lot in the Kiel cemetery. Saturday, were held on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p. m. at the C. J. Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 2 o’clock at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church, with the Rev. E. L. Worthman officiating. Burial was made in the Rockville cemetery. The deceased, nee Miss Emilie Backhaus, was born in the town of Rhine on July 8, 1861, the daughter of Christian and Wilhelmina Backhaus. She was united in marriage on March 16, 1885 to John Voigt, a native of the town of Mosel, the ceremony being performed by the late Rev. Ludwig Zenk, who then was pastor of the local Reformed church here. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Voigt located on a farm in the town of Schleswig, three miles northeast of this city, where they resided for 33 years. In the fall of 1917 they sold their farm to their son Walter, and in the spring of 1918, they moved to their present home at 902 N. FERDINAND VOIGT cemetery #82 Ferdinand Voigt Sr. Passes Away At Kiel Today Kiel—(Special)—Ferdinand Voigt, Sr, 92, passed away at the family residence at 813 N. Fourth Street here today at 12:45 a.m., following a five weeks’ illness. He was born Dec. 20, 1847, in Pomerania, Germany. In 1882 he came to America with his wife and family and they lived in Wausau for a year. For the past 57 years he had been a resident of Kiel. His wife, the former Louise Ladwig, died Dec. 9, 1932. Seven children were born of the union, two of whom died in infancy, and one son Ferdinand Jr, died Dec. 12, 1939. Survivors are four children, Mrs. Frank (Martha) Drews, of Kiel, Mrs. Herman (Anna) Drake, of Louis Corners, Bernard of Portland, Ore., and Richard of Belgium. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed church, and was a deacon and elder for many years. Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Meiselwitz funeral home, and at 2 o’clock at the church with burial in the Kiel cemetery. The Sheboygan Press, June 24, 1940


FRIEDERIKA VOIGT cemetery #82 Mrs. Friederika Voigt passed away on Saturday morning at the hospital in Sheboygan, where she had been a patient for several weeks. Death was due to stomach trouble and the infirmaties of old age. The deceased, nee Crossheim, was born in Saxony, Germany, July 15, 1840, where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Wm. Voigt in 1865, the couple coming to American in 1873 with their two children. After living two years in Baltimore they came to Wisconsin, settling in Sheboygan country, on a farm in the town of Plymouth. In 1908 they moved to Kiel, where Mr. Voigt died in 1912. She leaves one son, Carl, living on a farm west of Kiel, and Mrs. Chas. Burgdorff of this village. Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive her. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from Meiselwitz’s undertaking rooms, interment being in the Kiel cemetery, Rev. W. Rech officiated.


JOHANNA VOIGT cemetery #87 Johanna Voigt Dies Tuesday Mrs. Johanna Voigt, aged 81, nee Paul, and widow of the late Johann Voigt, passed away at her home at 504 Chicago street some time Tuesday evening. She was found dead in bed by the downstairs resident, Mrs. Alex Stewart. The deceased was born November 21, 1854, in Germany, and at the age of 3 years she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christian Paul to this country. She was married to Johann Voigt and the couple located on a farm in the town of Schleswig. Her husband preceded her in death in 1898. In 1906, Mrs. Voigt moved to Kiel and has resided here ever since at 504 Chicago street. Survivors are 5 daughters and one son, namely: Mrs. Louis (Ida) Schram of Plymouth, Mrs. Oscar (Emelia) Voigt of near here, Mrs. Gustave (Hulda) Matznick of near here, Mrs. Ferdinand (Frieda) Humer and Mrs. Anton (Lydia) Frauenhover of Highland Park, Ill., and Herman Voigt of Appleton. Nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, 3 brothers Levi Paul of Coleman, William Paul of town Meeme, and Louis of St. Nazianz; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Herman Sewald of Coleman, and Mrs. Mary Scheel of New Holstein also survive. A daughter, Mrs. Ferdinand Krueger of Chilton passed away on May 24, 1934. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the C. J. Meiselwitz Funeral Home here, and at 1:30 o'clock services will be held at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church here with the Rev. H. O. Grunwald officiating. Burial will be made in the Zion Lutheran cemetery in Louis Corners, beside the grave of her husband.

Death was due to a heart attack. Mr. Voigt was afflicted with total blindness for the past thirty years. The deceased, well-known here was born in the town of Mosel on December 20, 1860, the son of John and Mary Voigt. When he was four years old the family moved to a farm in the town of Schleswig and resided there for four years, and then they moved to a farm in the town of Meeme, where they resided for ten years, and where Mr. Voigt attended the district school. On March 16, 1885 he was united in marriage with Miss Emilie Backhaus of the town of Rhine, by the late Rev. Ludwig Zenk, then pastor of the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church. After their marriage they resided on a farm in the town of Schleswig, three miles northeast of this city for 33 years, and in 1917 sold their farm to their son, Walter, and in 1918 moved to Kiel and resided at 902 N. 4th street. Survivors are five children, Oscar of the town of Schleswig, Edwin of near Kiel, Walter of Chilton, Mrs. Alex (Meta) Holzer and Mrs. Waldemar (Met) Reseburg of Kiel; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death January 29, 1938, and since that time he has resided with his son and daughter-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock on Thursday afternoon at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 2 o'clock services will be conducted at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church. LOUISE VOIGT cemetery #82 Dies On Saturday Mrs. F. Voigt, 86, Dies Here End Comes A Week After Couple Observed 60th Anniversary A week following the sixtieth anniversary of her marriage, Mrs. Ferdinand W. Voigt, long-time resident of this city, died at her home at 813 N. Fourth street, at 3:30 a.m. Saturday. She was 86 years of age. Mrs. Voigt, nee Louise Ladwig, was born in Bueche, Pomerania, Germany, August 24, 1846 and her marriage to Ferdinand Voigt took place there on December 3, 1872. In 1882 the couple migrated to America and located at Wausau for one year, and then came to Kiel, where they resided since. Besides her husband, Mrs. Voigt is survived by five children: three sons, Bernard of Portland, Ore.; Richard of Milwaukee, and Ferdinand, Jr. of this city, and two daughters, Mrs. Herman Drake of Louis Corners and Mrs. Frank Drews of this city. There are also thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Ladwig of this city, and Herman Ladwig of Milwaukee. Two daughters died in infancy. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home and at 2 o’clock at the St. Peter Reformed church. The Senior Choir rendered the following selections: “Jesu Geh Foran,” “Gott mit uns bis wir uns wieder sehn,” and “Harre meine Seele.” The Rev. E. L. Worthman officiated, and burial was made in the Kiel cemetery. Pallbearers were: Robert Casper, Frank Jaschob, Carl Wriedt, Herman Voelker, Charles Dickelmann, and Henry Jochmann. The following from away attended the last sad rites: Mr. and Mrs. Richard Voigt and daughters Eileen and Anna, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ladwig of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lenz of Valders; Miss Norma Drake of Sheboygan; and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hildebrandt and son Frederick of New Holstein.


NORMA VOIGT cemetery #82 Mrs. Arno Voigt, 59, of 725 4th St., Kiel, died at her home Sunday morning following a lengthy illness. The former Norma Ruh was born Jan. 13, 1912, at School Hill, daughter of the late Henry and Louise Schultz Ruh. She moved with her parents to Kiel in 1927 and attended high school there. On Jan. 3, 1931, she was married to Mr. Voigt in Kiel. They have lived in Kiel since their marriage. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel, and was a Sunday School teacher for 30 years. Survivors include her husband and a brother, Harvey Ruh, Kiel Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Church, with the Rev. C.L. Reiter, pastor, officiating. OSCAR F. VOIGT cemetery #84 Oscar F. Voigt, 82, of 1155 Sixth St., Kiel, a retired Town of Schleswig farmer, died Sunday evening at Calumet Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born Feb. 3, 1886, in the Town of Schleswig, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Voigt, and was married June 20, 1907, to Emelie Voigt, of the Town of Meeme. They operated a farm in the Town of Schleswig until 1947 when they retired and moved to Kiel. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary last June. Mr. Voigt was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Kiel. Surviving are his wife; a son, Lester, Town of Schleswig; three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Meta Holzer, Kiel. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s UCC with the Rev. John F. Baumann, pastor, officiating. THEODORE FRED JOHN CARL VOIGT cemetery #87 Theodore Voigt, 72, well known town of Schleswig farmer, passed away suddenly Tuesday morning at his home near Louis Corners. Born in the town of Schleswig on Aug. 24, 1875, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Voigt, he spent his entire life in that township. He was married to Antonie Loos of that township on June 26, 1902, and settled on a farm there. She passed away Sept. 19, 1920, and in 1925 he was married to Mrs. Clara Arnold of Schleswig who died in 1935. Survivors are three daughters and a son, Mrs. Louis (Leona) Feld, Mrs. Roy (Verna) Oland, Mrs. Paul (Luella) Schroeder of Schleswig and Clinton of Beloit; three brothers, William of Cleveland, August of Valders and Armie of New Holstein; a sister, Mrs. Alma Schmidt of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran church in Louis Corners with the Rev. William Hartwig officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. WILLIAM VOIGT cemetery #82 Kiel—Wm. Voigt died at his home on Wednesday morning from stomach cancer. He was born November 26th, 1837 in Stotterheim, Sachsen Germany and came to America and Town Plymouth in 1872 with his wife and two children. The family lived on a farm near Kiel for 3 years. He developed asthma and later had cancer which caused his death at 74 years, 2 months and 18 days. Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Carl Voigt of Elkhart Lake and Mrs. Carl Burgdorff of Kiel. He was a member of the German Soldiers Society and was buried on Wednesday afternoon in the Kiel Cemetery with Pastor Rech officiating. Plymouth Post, February 17, 1912


WILLIAM T. VOIGT cemetery #14 William Voigt, 80, of Cleveland, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning of a heart attack while fighting a grass fire at his home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sts. John and Peter Lutheran Church, Cleveland, with the Rev. Samuel K?gler officiating. Burial will be in Saxon Cemetery, Town of Centerville, Manitowoc County. Mr. Voigt was born Aug. 1?, 1879, in the Town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County, son of the late Frederick and Dorothea Blievonicht Voigt. Upon completion of his education at age 17 he was engaged as a cheesemaker for 10 years at Louis Corners until purchaing a farm at Centerville. Mr. Voigt married the former Anna Heckmann, of the Town of Meeme, Manitowoc County, Dec. 10, 1907. The couple resided at Centerville where it farmed until 1942 when it moved to Cleveland. Mr. Voigt was then employed part time at Lakeshore Canning Co. at Cleveland. He was a member of Sts. John and Peter Lutheran Church where he served as a trustee for three years. Two children, a sister and three brothers preceded him in death. Survivors include the wife, a son, Alfred at home; a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Truttschel of School Hill; two brothers, August of Valders and Armie of New Holstein; a sister, Mrs. Alma Schmidt, Town of Mosel, Sheboygan County; six grandchildren and one grandchild.
