CATHERINE TROST cemetery #43 Mrs. Walter Trost, 44, of 528 South 27th street, died Saturday afternoon after a two weeks illness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 am from the Pfeffer funeral home and at nine o’clock from the St. Paul’s Catholic church. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Trost, whose maiden name was Catherine Pinger, was born in 1892 at Kellnersville. She was married in 1913 to Walter Trost and they made their home in this city. She was a member of the Christian Mothers which organization, with the Holy Name Society, will recite the rosary at the funeral home this evening at 7 o’clock. Survivors are the widower; three daughters, Violet, Betty Jane, and Doris, all of this city; five sons, Leonard, Clarence, Richard, Robert and Donald, all of this city; a brother John Pinger, Kellnersville; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Skarda, Kellnersville, Mrs. Emma Feuerstein, city, Mrs. George Augustine, city. NORBERT A. TROST cemetery #43 Norbert A. Trost, 56, of 106 N. Montgomery St., Watertown, died Tuesday morning at Memorial Hospital, Watertown. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Msgr. Alfred Schneider will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mr. Trost was born Nov. 9, 1913, at Manitowoc, son of the late George and Mary Loritz Trost Sr. He married Elizabeth Donahue Jan. 10, 1940, at Manitowoc. The couple moved to Watertown in 1960, where he was employed as a fireman at the Bethesda Lutheran Home. Survivors include his wife; two sons, a daughter (Survivors omitted for privacy.); three brothers George Jr., Leonard, and Melvin, of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Villis Holbrook of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Lloyd Scherer and Mrs. Dale Leiker Sr., of Manitowoc; and three grandchildren. WALTER TROST cemetery #43 Walter Trost, 72, of 2014 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and a solemn requiem high Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc, the Rev. Allan Walt, a step-son, celebrant; the Rev. E.A. Radey, deacon; and the Rev. Anthony Stefl, sub-deacon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mr. Tost was born August 11, 1891, in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late Joseph and Gusty Leverence Trost. He married Catherine Pinger in 1913 at Kellnersville. She died in 1937. Sept. 3, 1939, he married Mrs. Agnes Steder Walt. They located at Manitowoc where he was employed at Manitowoc Portland Cement Co., retiring about four years ago. He was a member of Holy Name Society of Holy Innocents Church and of the AFL Lime, Cement and Gypsum Workers Union, Local No. 34. Surviving are his wife; four sons Leonard, Clarence and Robert Trost of Manitowoc and Bro. Roland Trost, S.D.S., of St. Nazianz; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Violet) Hynek and Mrs. Russell (Doris) Meissner of Manitowoc and Sister M. Jeanette Trost of Blommington, Wis.; a step-son Father Walt of Manitowoc; a step-daughter, Mrs. Larry (Mary Ann) Kovats of North Lawrence, Ohio; a brother, Otto Trost of Sheboygan; two sisters, Mrs. Matt Hein of Manitowoc and Mrs. Philip Hein of Whitelaw; 25 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A son and a brother preceded him in death. MARGARET TRUDEL cemetery #44 Mrs. J.J. Trudel Sr., 85, of 854 N. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Monday at home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. James Craanen will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. There will be no service at the funeral home Thursday morning. Mrs. Trudel, nee Margaret (Peg) Carey, was born March 9, 1886, at Osman, daughter of the late State Senator John and Honora Sexton Carey. She attended and was graduated from North Side High School in 1904. She was married to Jacques J. Trudel Sr. Mrs. Trudel had been employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., from 1939 to 1959 retiring as a material pricing supervisor. Her husband preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Jacques Jr., of Milwaukee; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Janet) White, of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.; six grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters including her twin brother, John, who died in 1960. ERNST A. TRUETTNER cemetery #68 E. TRUETTNER, NEWTON PIONEER, CALLED BY DEATH Pneumonia Claims One of 1st Born of Town at 63 Yrs. on Sunday Ernest Truettner, a pioneer resident of Newton and one of the first born of that town, died Sunday at the age of 62 years. Mr. Truettner had been ill but a short time and was a victim of pneumonia. Decedent was well and favorably known in the county. He is survived by a widow and five children, Edna, Irma, Linda, Omar, and Frederick. Three sisters, Mrs. M. Busse, Mrs. L. Kuntz of this city and Mrs. L. FRIEDRICH TRUETTNER cemetery #68 From Der Nord Westen, 08 May 1890: Sudden death on Sun. in Newton of Friedrich Truettner. He was well in the morning, went to church, entered his carriage to return to his farm and sank down dead of a stroke. He had lived in Town Newton since 1848 and served for a short period as postmaster of Newtonburg. He was born 78 yrs. ago in Niemburg, Hannover. He is survived by his widow and 7 married children - 3 sons and 4 daughters. The funeral took place yesterday in the cemetery of the Methodist Congregation of Newton.


HERMINA TRUETTNER cemetery #44 WORRY OVER DEATH OF HER HUSBAND UNBALANCES MIND OF MRS. TRUETTNER, NEWTON WOMAN Grief over the death of her husband which occurred recently is believed to be responsible for the condition of Mrs. Minnie Truettner, a well known town of Newton woman, who was today committed to the Northern hospital at Oshkosh by probate court. Mrs. Truettner’s mind has become unbalanced and friends asked that she be cared for. Mrs. Truettner’s husband died some time ago and since that time she has acted in a strange manner, until friends, convinced that her mind had been affected by her sorrow, appealed to the court for her commitment. An attack of nervousness a week ago was the first sign of ill health but since then she has failed rapidly and the end came quietly last night. Funeral services will be held Monday from the home in Newton at one o’clock to the Wesley M.E. church in this city where the Rev. A.R.E. Schreiber will conduct services at two o’clock. Mrs. Truettner, nee Wernecke, was born near Newton, April 20, 1868 and has made her home there all her life, having been married to Ernest Wernecke there in 1897, Mr. Wernecke preceded her in death in 1917. Five children live to survive their parents being Mrs. Walter Beck, Two Rivers, Mrs. Alvin Polster and Mrs. Arno Meisner of Newton and Omar and Frederic who made their home with their mother. Mrs. Truettner is also survived by two grandchildren and two brothers, Herman of Chicago and Fred of this city. WILHELMINE TRUETTNER cemetery #68 From Der Nord Westen, 24 May 1906: Newton resident Mrs. Truettner died of old age debility Saturday before last. She had been ill for many years and was confined to her bed the last year. The deceased was one of the first settlers in our county, having arrived here with her husband in 1846 when it was still a wilderness. Her husband has been dead for many years. Most recently she has been living with her son Ernst. Her funeral was held Tuesday at the cemetery of the Methodist Church. She was almost 90 years of age.


ELIZABETH TRUMAN cemetery #44 From Der Nord Westen, 29 Sep. 1904: Mrs. Elizabeth Truman, widow of the late Horatio Truman, died Wed. evening last week after a long illness at age 80. The deceased, who was born in 1824 in Burlington, Vermont, came to Manitowoc with her husband in 1854 and has lived here ever since. HORATIO TRUMAN cemetery #44 From Der Nord Westen, 13 Mar. 1902: Death Wed. last week, following a long illness, of Horatio Truman, a wellknown resident of our city. He was born in Burlington, VT, in 1828 and came to Manitowoc in 1855. He was associated here with Mr. Cooper in a mill, established a coal handling business and at the time of his death was president of the Manitowoc Dredge & Dock Co. He is survived by his sorrowing widow and 3 children. The funeral was held Sun. afternoon.

ALFRED H. TRUTTSCHEL cemetery #87 Alfred H. Truttschel, 83, of 29 E. Paine St., Kiel, died Saturday, March 4, 1995 at Willowdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein, following a courageous battle with Aplastic Anemia. He was born April 6, 1911 in the Town of Mosel, son of the late August and Anna Moehring Truttschel. He attended Haven Grade School. On Dec. 10, 1932 he married Gertrude Voight at Cleveland. The couple farmed in the Town of Meeme and he also worked at Lake to Lake in Kiel for 23 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Louis Corners, the Men’s Club, Church Cemetery Board and the Church Board. (Survivors omitted for privacy) He was preceded in death by a brother. Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran Church in Louis Corners, with the Rev James Bartz officiating Burial will be in the church cemetery. Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home of Kiel is assisting the family. A memorial will be established in his name.


NICK K. TSOPELS cemetery #44 Nick K. Tsopels, 79, of 825 N. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James Episcopal Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Andrew Daregas will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Tsopels was born Jan. 10, 1893, in Greece, son of the late Constantine and Joanna Avrilionis Tsopels. He migrated to the United States in 1909. In 1930, he returned to Greece where he married Mary Georgopoulos. The couple returned to Manitowoc and established residence. He was associated with the Tsopels and Adraktis firms, retiring in 1962. He was a veteran of World War I, serving as a private from May 24, 1918, until his discharge Dec. 12, 1918. He was a member of the American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88 of Manitowoc and the Order of Ahepa. Survivors include his wife, two brothers, Spyros,of Manitowoc and Dimitros, of Greece; two sisters, Helen and Anastasia, of Greece; and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers preceded him in death. MARY BURMAHLN BELITZ TUERPE cemetery #82 At the house of her sister in Chicago Mrs. Mary Tuerpe, born as a Burmahln, died at the 27th of April after she had spent only three days in bed sick with Asthma being 64 years and two months old. She had been born in Heide, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany at the 28th of February in 1830(sic) and came to America in 1857 together with her parents, who settled down in Town Schleswig on a farm which is now run by John Burmahln, right away. In the same year she got married to Wilhelm Belitz who bult the first hotel in Kiel close to the train station in 1864. (The same is now run by Frank Kretsch.) Mr. Belitz died in 1880. In 1881 she married Oswald Tuerpe, who had taken over the hotel but later sold it to Gottfried Lueloff. Henceforth they moved to California, a year later to Sheboygan and then to Cleveland, Wis., where Mr. Tuerpe built a new hotel. In 1890 Mr. Tuerpe got killed when his horses went wild by breaking his neck after he got thrown out of the buggy near the Pigeon River in Sheboygan. After that Mrs. Tuerpe sold the hotel to her two sons and moved to Chicago to live at her sister's house where after all she died. The body was brought here last week Thursday and burried(sic) insisted by the house of her brother John Burmahln at the Kiel cemetery under the leadership of Pastor Roedl. At the funeral following persons from further away were present: The son-in-law John Milton (former local station agent) and his wife from Hago, Wisc., the son-in-law Alfred Frerk and his wife, as well as both of her sisters Albertine Frerk and Louise Haenze from Chicago, both of her sons Wilhelm and Robert Belitz from Cleveland, besides their wifes(sic), and Mich. Wagner plus wife from Town Mosel. 1903 - no source cited.


CALVIN TUESBURG cemetery #44 Calvin L. Tuesburg, 76, of 415A Chicago St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon at home. Mr. Tuesburg was born Feb. 6, 1888, at Manitowoc, son of the late John and Elizabeth Kern Tuesburg. Twenty-nine years ago he married Frances Brager. He had been employed as a lathe operator at Mirro Aluminum Co., Manitowoc, retiring in 1954. CHARLES TUESBURG cemetery #44 Charles A. Tuesburg, 76, (photo) of 505 Pine St., Manitowoc, died Saturday at home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mr. Tuesberg was born June 29, 1893, at Manitowoc, son of the late John and Elizabeth Curran Tuesburg, and married Mathilda Vogel Aug. 21, 1915. The couple always lived at Manitowoc. He started working as a machinist and tool and die maker for the Mirro Aluminum Co. in 1919 and retired in 1959. Survivors include his wife; a son, Arthur, of Manitowoc, and seven grandchildren. He married Rose Buretta April 12, 1921, at Manitowoc. His wife preceded him in death May 19, 1971. Prior to his retirement in 1951 he was a lieutenant of the Manitowoc Police Dept. for 22 years. He organized the School Safety Patrol System of the City of Manitowoc. He was a 50-year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 706 and St. Mary Holy Name Society. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Jeanette) Dahm, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Calvin (Phyllis) Sommer, of Sheboygan; two brothers, Washington and John, of Chicago; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She resided in Manitowoc all her life. She was married to George Tulack April 12, 1924, at St. Mary Church, Manitowoc. The couple celebrated its golden wedding anniversary this past April. Mrs. Tulack was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and the Rosary Society of St. Mary Church. Survivors include her husband, two daughters, three brothers, Andrew and Alois of Manitowoc and Joseph of Two Rivers; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Boyd of Florida and Mrs. Alois Rohrer of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren and two great grand- children. FRANK TULACHKA cemetery #66 Frank Tulachka, 80, of Kewaunee, died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday at an Oshkosh hospital. He had pneumonia and had been ill four days. He was educated in Kewaunee County rural schools and lived in the Tisch Mills area in the Town of Carlton. He retired as a farmer seven years ago and moved to Kewaunee. Mr. Tulachka never married. CLARA TUMA cemetery #63 Mrs. Clara M. Tuma, age 85, of 103 Lilac Drive, Francis Creek, died Friday morning, February 7, 1992, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Clara is now resting in peace. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Rev. PFC. DONALD G. TUMA cemetery #63 Donald G. Tuma Among Soldiers Killed In Crash County Family Had Talked by Telephone With Korea Returnee TWO RIVERS - Pfc. Donald G. Tuma, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Doolan Tuma of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, residing just north of Larrabee on Highway Q, was among 27 soldiers homeward bound for the holidays from Korean service to be killed Friday when a chartered airliner crashed after a takeoff from Seattle, Wash. Tuma was listed among the 27 dead in, an Associated Press dispatch from Seattle. The Tuma family said Saturday morning that it received a call Friday from the young soldier that he had arrived in Seattle and was planning to fly home immediately. Up to 11 a.m. Saturday the family received no official government announcement of the youth's death, however. Tuma entered the service nearly two years ago and served more than 18 months with the U. S. Army in Korea. He would have had another year to serve before his discharge. Donald Tuma was born in the Town of Gibson on Oct. 10, 1935, and was graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1953. In high school he took an active part in the Future Farmers of America program. Besides his parents he leaves two sisters, Janice and Joanne at home, and six brothers, James of Manitowoc arid Richard, Wayne, Gregory, Peter and Paul Tuma on the home farm. BARBARA A. TUSCHL cemetery #6 Mrs. Barbara A. Tuschl, 92, of 1836 Belmont St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10:30 a.m. St. Mary Catholic Church, Clark Mills. The Rev. Leander Nickel will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Tuschl, nee Barbara A. Pritzl, was born Oct. 7, 1879, daughter of the late Michael and Katherine Koerner Pritzl. She was married to John Tuschl Sr. May 13, 1901, at Clark Mills. They resided in Clark Mills until 1943 when they moved to Manitowoc. He preceded her in death April 15, 1947. She was employed at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, for 16 years until her retirement in 1959. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Christian Mothers Altar Society. Survivors include six sons, Roman, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, John Jr., of Manitowoc, Anthony, of Rt. 1, Cato, Joseph of Madison and George and Leon of Milwaukee; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Fern) Esser, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. John Meyer, of Medford, Wis.; 21 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. Three sons, two daughters, three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. IDA TUSCHL cemetery #6 Mrs. Ida Tuschl, 77, formerly of 1911 Marshal St., Manitowoc, died Saturday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christianson Funeral Home, Valders, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. The Rev. She was married to Frank Tuschl May 1, 1912, at Clarks Mills. They farmed in Town of Liberty. Her husband preceded her in death Aug. 28, 1957. Mrs. Tuschl was a member of the Golden Agers and an honorary member of the St. Mary Christian Mothers Society. Mrs. Tuschl, nee Priscilla Bauer, was born March 19, 1916, at Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late Peter and Ida Kourley Bauer. She was married to Gordon J. Tuschl Oct. 9, 1937, at Manitowoc. She was employed at the S.S. Kresge Co., Manitowoc. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Rosary Society. Survivors include her husband, a son and a daughter (Survivors omitted for privacy.); four brothers, Edward, Reinhart and Raymond, of Manitowoc and Victor, of Rt. 4 Manitowoc. JOHN TWITCHEL (L) cemetery #44 BROUGHT NEW OF DEATH Message Received Here To-Day Tells of Demise of Capt. Twitchel A telegram received in the city to-day announces the death of Capt. J. M. Twitchel, 3811 Michigan Avenue, Chicago at an early hour this morning. Capt. Twitchel was a former resident of Manitowoc, having removed to Chicago but a few years ago. He had been ill but a short time and relatives here are uninformed as to the disease which caused his death. He was 48 years of age and surviving relatives are a wife and two sons, Earl and Lester; one sister, Mrs. Kellog, Columbus, Ohio, and two half sisters, Mrs. Ray Flint, Jr., of this city and Mrs. Zander of Kaukauna. Capt. Twichell is well remembered here and is known to vesselmen in every section of the country. He was formerly in command of the City of Fremont and the Peerless sailing from Chicago, owned by Leopold- Austrian Co. While a resident of this city Capt. ALBERTINA TYLER cemetery #25 Mrs. Tina Tyler died Sunday morning at the home of her son, Leo, in the village of Valders two days before her 77th birthday. She died suddenly of a heart attack. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Tyler home and at two o'clock at Niles Presbyterian church, the Rev. Ayres of Chilton officiating. The body will be taken to the home Tuesday at 5 p.m. and can be viewed there until the hour of the funeral. Mrs. Tyler was born Tina Wiese in Germany on July 4th, 1862, and she came to America when she was five years old. She was married to Wells Tyler and the couple operated a farm in the town of Eaton until 22 years ago when they moved to the village of Valders. Mr. Tyler died in 1919. EDNA DAVIS TYLER cemetery #25 DEATH CLAIMS MRS. J.G. TYLER The funeral of Mrs. James Tyler took place yesterday afternoon at Milos, this county. Mrs. Tyler was a former resident of Milos, where she and her husband lived on a farm up to the time of his tragic death five years ago, as a result of a kick by a colt. Mrs. Tyler died May 30 from a complication of measles and pneumonia which she contract while on a visit with her brother, Robert Davis, at Grand Rapids, Mich., just before a proposed trip to California. She was 33 years of age, and is survived by five children, who are left orphans. The uncle, Mr. Robert Davis, of Grand Rapids, will take care of these children. Two brothers and one sister also survive. The Tyler family is well known, Mr. Tyler, Senior, having been a Civil War veteran and died just a short time before the death of his son. GRACE TYLER cemetery #25 Miss Grace Tyler, 45, died early today at the Tyler home in Valders. She had been ill since August. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the home and at two o'clock from the Niles Presbyterian church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Miss Tyler, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wells Tyler, was born at Eaton in 1892. Her father died in 1918 (sic) and in recent years she has kept house for her aged mother and brother in Valders. She was a member and held several offices at various times, in the Legion auxiliary in Valders, Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Tina Tyler, and brother, Lee, both of Valders. JAMES G. TYLER (d. 1915) cemetery #25 TOWN OF EATON MAN DIES FROM KICK OF HORSE GRANT TYLER, WELL KNOWN FARMER, FATALLY INJURED WHEN COLT KICKS HIM SUNDAY. DIES 20 MINUTES LATER Grant Tyler, a well known town of Eaton man, died Sunday morning 20 minutes after he had been kicked by a colt on his farm, internal injuries having resulted. Tyler was leading the colt at the end of a long rope to place the animal in pasture when the horse became frightened and tangled in the rope. In attempting to free the animal Tyler came within range of the colt's hoof and kicked in the abdomen. When members of the family reached him Tyler was found to be dying, never having regained consciousness. Physicians were hurriedly summoned while the injured man was removed to the house but before their arrival Tyler was dead. The force of the blow had inflicted internal injury that was fatal. Mr. Tyler was about 40 years of age and a son of the late K.K. Tyler, whose death occurred about a year ago. He was married and is survived by a widow and four children, all at home. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon from the home in Eaton. LAURA ANNA TYLER cemetery #25 On June 29th, Mrs. J.M. Tyler, widow of the late Monroe Tyler, was buried at the cemetery at Niles church. She was 74 years of age and made her home with her grandson Van Jackson and wife near Omro who accompanied the remains to their last resting place. LEO M. TYLER cemetery #25 Leo M. Tyler 52, Soo line station agent at Valders for the past 20 years, died this morning in the Veterans hospital at Milwaukee. The body will be returned to Valders to the Berge funeral parlors. Arrangement for the funeral, which were incomplete today, will be annoucned later. Tyler, 53 (sic), veteran Soo line station agent at Valders, who died yesterday at the Veterans hopsital in Milwaukee, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Berge funeral home in Valders and at 2:30 from the Niles Presbyterian church, the Rev. C.H. Phipps officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Tyler was born at Eaton in 1889 and served in World War I. For 25 years he was station agent and telegraph operator for the Soo railroad at Valders. He also took an active interest in amateur athletics and served several years as secretary of the Eastern Wisconsin Baseball league. He was the first comander of the Thompson-Burkard post of the American Legion at Valders, a member of the Forty et Eight, and the Masonic lodge of Manitowoc. He was president of the Lions club of Valders at the time of his death. Mr. Tyler never married and his only survivors are an aunt, Mrs. Flora Lawrence of this city and and uncle George Tyler of Randolph, Nebr. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry Letz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Clarks Mills where the Rev. Henry J. Arens will conduct graveside rites. Tyson was born Aug. 15, 1879, at Chilton, son of the late William and Bridge Smith Tyson. He married the former Barbara Tilger Sept. 23, 1919, at Chilton and the couple lived there for several years before moving to Valders where he was employed for 25 years at Valders Lime and Stone Co. Upon retirement in 1948 the couple moved to Manitowoc. Survivors include the wife; four daughters, Mrs. William Fischer of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, Mrs. Richard Buchner of Milwaukee, Mrs. Robert Kretsch of Manitowoc and Mrs. Merlin Lintner of Gillett, Wis.; son, Joseph E. of Manitowoc; two brothers George of Chilton and Frank in Michigan; sister, Mrs. William Colter of Superior, Wis.; and 25 grandchildren.
