LEO T. MILLER cemetery #84 Word has been received by Chilton relatives of the accidental death of Leo Miller, 53, of Rice Lake. Miller, boulevard custodian in Rice Lake, died of a skull fracture Monday received in a fall from a tree. The deceased was born in Chilton on July 22, 1896. Survivors include his widow, Lillian, four sisters, Mrs. Chas. (Rose) Kesler of Winchester, Mrs. Fred (Josephine) Petersen of Chilton, Mrs. Armand (Mary) Lorenz of Cormel, Calif., and Mrs. John (Edna) Boll of New Holstein, and two brothers, Arthur of Milwaukee, and Oscar of Chilton. The body will be removed to Chilton sometime Wednesday and it will lie in state at the Erbe-Hoffman Funeral home here from Wednesday evening until time of services Thursday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Orval Egbert will officiate and burial will be made in the Rockville cemetery. LESTER C. MILLER cemetery #78 Lester C. Miller, 61, of Valders, died Saturday evening at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Collins. The Rev. Robert Wendland will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Miller was born March 4, 1910, in the Town of Eaton, Manitowoc County, son of the late Richard and Anna Moeller Miller. He was engaged in farming for several years. The past 21 years he had been employed at Kelvinator Commercial Products Inc., Manitowoc. He married Nora Matznick Oct. 29, 1936, at St. Peter Church, Collins. Mr. Miller served as a trustee of St. Peter Church. LORETTA MILLER cemetery #83 Mrs. Loretta Miller, 69, of 822 Fremont St., Kiel, died early this morning at her home. The former Loretta Krupp, she was born June 19, 1899, in the Town of New Holstein, a daughter of the late Jacob and Amalia Christel Krupp. She attended St. Ann's Catholic School at St. Anna. On Nov. 26, 1931, she married Charles J. Miller of Evanston, Ill., at Wilmette, Ill. They moved to Kiel in 1938. Mr. Miller died in February, 1964. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel, the Christian Mothers Society, and the Lady Foresters. Survivors are a daughter; a son (names omitted for privacy); four grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. John Nielsen, Chicago; Mrs. Peter Hahn, Merrimac, Wis.; Mrs. Walter Stinn, Louisville, Ky.; Sister Alice, of St. Joseph Parish, Alverno; Mrs. Gilbert Heus, of Marytown, and Mrs. Raphael Wagner, Madison; and four brothers, Ablert, Edmund, Arno and Joseph, all of rural New Holstein. A brother preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, and at 10 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. The Rev. LOUISE MILLER cemetery #83 Mrs. Edward P. Miller, 79, of Kiel, died Wednesday at Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton. She had been admitted earlier in the day. The former Louise Klein, she was born in the Town of Rhine, Dec. 4, 1887, a daughter of the late John and Louise Klein. She attended district school in Rhine and was married to Mr. Miller, Feb. 8, 1916, by the late Rev. Otto Kolbe. The couple lived in Kiel for two years, then moved to the Miller home farm on the eastern edge of the city. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1966. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Parish. Surviving are her husband; five sons; two daughters (names omitted for privacy) and 30 grandchildren. A daughter and two grandchildren preceded her in death. The requiem Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, with the Rev. George Kiefer, pastor, celebrant. Mass will follow 9 a.m. family rites at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel, with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday. MARIAN MILLER cemetery #89C Marian E. Miller, age 74, of 2322 Ninth St., Two Rivers, died with her family at her side, on Friday evening, Nov. 30, 2007, at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. She was born July 4, 1933, in Sturgeon Bay, a daughter of the late Herman and Adeline (Schultz) Meyer, and attended school in Sturgeon Bay. On Jan. 16, 1954, she married Donald J. Miller in Sturgeon Bay. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2002. Marian worked for Hamilton Industries in Two Rivers for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Two Rivers. She enjoyed miniature bowling, and loved the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Mabel Miller; a brother, Arnold Meyer; and three brothers-in-law, Bill Miller, Rod Miller and Roy Pfister. MARIE E. MILLER cemetery #44 DEATH COMES TO MISS MILLER AT ALBUQUERQUE Many friends were shocked last evening by a message from Albuquerque, N.M., announcing the death there of Miss Marie Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller, of this city, who had been there, with her mother, for three months in hopes of ????per ????? her health. Miss Miller's death was due to pneumonia. She had suffered from throat ??oathle for some time and her weakened condition was unable to withstand the fatal attack. F.A. Miller, who returned here after accompanying Mrs. Miller and his daughter to New Mexico, was ??? moved to Albuequerque several days ago by a ????? of the critical illness of Miss Miller and was with her when she passed away. Mrs. Miller is completely overcome by the death of her daughter and will be unable to accompany the remains here for burial. The body will arrive Sunday evening and funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart church Monday morning. The death of Miss Miller will be deplored. She was a lovable girl, accomplished and talented and a social favorite. Born in this city February 24, 1894, she was twenty-seven years of age when death took her. Miss Miller attended the local schools graduating from the old North Side high and later attended St. Mary's at Notre Dame. She was a graduate of Northwestern University school of oratory at Evanston and was an accomplished musician. MARY AHLSWEDE MILLER cemetery #37 Mrs. Mary Ahlswede Miller, 80, widow of the Rev. John Miller, former pastor of the Kossuth Baptist church, died at 7 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gustave Kohlmeier, Greenleaf, Route 2, in the Town of Cooperstown. Mrs. Miller had lived with her daughter for the last two years. She had been in ill health for some time. The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer funeral home from Friday morning until Saturday morning when it will be removed to the Kossuth Baptist church where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Miller, whose maiden name was Mary Rolzenthal, was born March 29, 1859 in the Town of Kossuth. She was married to Carl Ahlswede Feb. 17, 1878. Two daughters and two sons were born to the couple. She was married the second time Sept. 14, 1912 to the Rev. Miller. He died six years ago. The survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Kohlmeier, two sons, Charles Ahlswede, city, and Benjamin Ahlswede, Kossuth, one brother, Willaim Rolzenthal, of Kossuth, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Miller had reached the age of 78, and up to the time of his fatal illness had been always active. Mr. Miller was born in Evrange, Alsace-Lorraine, while that province was still under French rule. At the age of seven years he came to this country with his parents and four brothers and three sisters, of which he was the youngest. The family settled on what is now the Mertens farm about a mile and a half west of the city. In 1893 he was married to Miss Magdalene Reichert, and together the couple lived for the remainder of their lives on the farm where Mr. Miller died. His wife preceded him in death in the year 1911. Mr. Miller was the last survivor of his family. Four children were born to the couple. They are: Alfred J., at Mendota, Wis., and Edward P., Norbert H., and Otto, all living at home. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 9:30 at the Sts. Peter and Paul church, the Rev A. Roder performing the last rites. Interment was in the Sts. OLGA MILLER cemetery #44 Mrs. J.V. Miller,of 1415 Michigan avenue, died early today, following a several months illness. Born Olga Seeger in Manitowoc in 1866, she was married to Dr. J.V. Miller, Manitowoc dentist, 53 years ago. Dr. Miller retired from active practice in 1939. Dr. and Mrs. Miller observed their golden wedding aniversary in 1943. PETER MILLER cemetery #57 From Der Nord Westen, 05 Nov. 1908: Death Monday in Meeme at the advanced age of 82 of Peter Miller, father of P.A. Miller here. When Mr. Miller came to America he first settled in Sheboygan County, but 37 years ago he moved to Meeme where he has lived ever since. In 1858 he married, his wife preceding him in death 25 years ago. He had never been ill before and his fatal illness lasted only a week. He is survived by a daughter and 4 sons. The funeral will be held this morning in School Hill.


PETER MILLER cemetery #43 LONG ILLNESS IS FATAL TO PETER MILLER Business, Fraternal and Civic Leader of City Dies Sunday at Family Home An illness of several months' duration during which he underwent and operation at Milwaukee, yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock claimed the life of Peter A. Miller, well-known business man, fraternal worker and civic leader of the city. Death occurred at the family home at 1118 S. Seventh street and was due to pernicious anemia. The end found members of the immediate family at his bedside as death was not unexpected, Mr. Miller having gradually become worse in recent weeks. He had apparently recovered from the effects of the operation three months ago but his other illness consistently became more severe and brought death yesterday. In Business Many Years Born in the town of Herman, Sheboygan county, on January 29, 1868, Mr. Miller was 63 years of age at the time of his death. When a lad of four years he came to the town of Meeme, this county, in the fall of 1872 and since then made his home in the county and city. He came to the city of Manitowoc in 1896 and almost immediately became active in business and other activities of the city. For 30 years he successfully conducted retail grocery stores in Manitowoc, owning an establishment at Fifteenth and Washington streets for many years. During the past five years he was engaged in the wholesale sugar business. Mr. Miller was twice married, his first wife, Miss Nellie McMahon dying some years ago. He later married Miss Bridget Thorton who with one son, Homer of the Chase National Bank in New York City, two brothers, Anton of School Hill, this county, and Andrew of Oakland, California, and one sister, Mrs. Peter Ketter of Westphalia, Kansas, survive him. Another son, Edgar, died several years ago. His son, Homer, recently returned to New York after a visit with his father here but again arrived in Manitowoc on Friday when it was evident that Mr. Miller's condition was taking a turn for the worse. Funeral On Wednesday Solemn high mass services will be held for Mr. Miller at the St. Boniface church on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock and interment will take place at Calvary cemetery. Active in Many Groups For the past 35 years, Mr. Miller was in the forefront of every movement for the advancement of the interests of this community. Every merchants' association and every attempt at a chamber of commerce, regardless of what name, and community enterprises such as Manitou-e'en found him among those actively participating in making the measure a success.


RAYMOND MILLER cemetery #44 Miller Dies in Amsterdam Raymond P. Miller, 50, of Reedsville, who was identified with the farm equipment business all of his adult life, died unexpectedly at Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Sunday morning. He and his wife, the former Fay Green, of Manitowoc, were in Europe to visit farm equipment factories. They were also visiting their son, Michael, a lieutenant in the Air Force. Mrs. Miller was expecting to return here by airplane Monday afternoon and the body was expected to arrive from Amsterdam Tuesday, according to Atty. Victor A. Miller of St. Nazianz, a brother. Funeral arrangements are indefinite at this time, Attorney Miller said. Ray P. Miller was associated with the John Miller Supply Co. of St. Nazianz, as tractor sales manager. He had planned to attend the Smithfield Farm Show in London, the largest European show of its kind. Miller was also an auctioneer and real estate broker, and had operated the John Miller Equipment Co. at Reedsville until the business there was destroyed by a fire several years ago. In recent years he spent most of his time in farm machinery sales in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan. The late Mr. Miller was a grandson of the first John Miller who started the business in 1898 at St. Nazianz. Among survivors are his wife, mother, four children and two brothers. Mr. Miller was born April 19, 1919, at St. Nazianz, son of Mrs. Frances Hornick Miller and the late John Miller. He married Fay Green June 16, 1945, at Manitowoc. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as a past Grand Knight, past president and past zone chairman of the Lions Club and a member of the Elks Lodge No. 687. Mr. Miller was also a member of the National Auctioneers Assn. He was past chairman of "Community Action" of Manitowoc County, served as a deputy sheriff, was a real estate broker and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He had been associated with the John Miller Supply Co. of St. Nazianz. Survivors include two sons, two daughters, his mother, Mrs. Francis Miller, of St. Nazianz, and two brothers, Atty. ROSE MILLER cemetery #44 Mrs. Rose Miller, 57, of 712 Buffalo St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a heart attack. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. The Rev. Cletus LaMere will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Miller, was born Aug. 27, 1916, at St. Nazianz, son of the late John and Frances Hornick Miller. He attended St. Gregory Grade School and was a 1934 graduate of Valders High School, a 1938 graduate of Marquette University and a 1940 graduate of Marquette Law School. Mr. Miller was presently the senior partner in Miller and Miller Law Offices in St. Nazianz. He was Chairman of the Board of John Miller Supply Company, John Miller Implement Company and J.M.A.C. Inc. and was a Trustee for the Miller Foundation. He married Isabel Grimm, June 28, 1941, at Whitelaw. He was past State Attorney General in October of 1974 and past President of the State Bar of Wisconsin 1973 to 1974. He was Chairman of the Wisconsin Supreme Court Board of Professional Responsibility. He was on the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Wisconsin. He received a certificate of Merit for Taxation Section of the State Bar. Mr. Miller was on the Board of Visitors for Marquette Law School. He was a Fellow in the American Bar Association. He was a Fellow American College of Probate Counsel. Mr. Miller was a Board Member of Woolseck Society of Marquette University. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William G. O'Brien with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Viola was born Dec. 25, 1918, in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Jung Pilger. On Oct. 27, 1936, she married Martin J. Koch at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1976. On Feb. 18, 1982, she married Adolph T. Miller at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 2001. Viola was employed at Paragon Electric Co., Two Rivers, for 30 years, retiring in 1981. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, playing bingo and gardening. She was active with the PECO club, the Two Rivers Senior Center and the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law; two sons and a daughter-in-law; 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Lou Ann; and a sister: Blanche. CLARA MILSKI Mrs. Max Milski, lifelong Manitowoc resident, died early Saturday morning at the home, 1322A S. 13th St., after a lingering illness. She was 83. FELIX MILSKI cemetery #43 From Der Nord Westen, 23 Oct. 1902: Death Sun., following a 2-wk. illness, of Felix Milski, a well-known and respected resident of our city. The deceased, who was born in Germany 20 Apr. 1842, came to America in 1882 and settled in Manitowoc. He worked many years here as a joiner. A few years ago he fell ill and never fully recovered. He leaves a widow and 8 children to mourn his early death. The funeral was held Tues. morning from the Catholic Church. Exactly one week earlier, his son Max celebrated his wedding with Miss Kadow, "so life and death often lie close to each other.

CARL MISCHO cemetery #83 Carl Mischo, 84, of Kiel, died this morning at Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein. He was born April 2, 1893, in Mt. Calvary, a son of Jacob and Catherine Gerhartz Mischo. He attended parochial school in Mt. Calvary. Aug. 28, 1916, he married Bertha Dietrich. The couple lived in Fond du Lac County before moving to Stockbridge. Since 1934, they lived in Kiel, where they observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1966. Mrs. Mischo died Sept. 6, 1969. Mr. Mischo was employed at the Manitowoc Ship Building Co. until his retirement in 1961. He also sold monuments. Mr. Mischo was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, and the Kiel Senior Citizens. He is survived by a daughter, a son, 10 grandchidlren and eight great- grandchildren; a brother, Engelbert of rural St. Cloud. A daughter, a son and two granddaughters preceded him in death. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Ss. The former Bertha Diedrich, she was born May 13, 1890, at Johnsburg, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Diedrich, and was married to Mr. Mischo of Mt. Calvary on Aug. 28, 1916, at Johnsburg. The lived in Fond du Lac County before moving to Stockbridge in 1920. They moved to Kiel in 1934. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel; a member and past president of the Christian Mothers Society, a member of the Calumet Deaner, the Tri-County VFW Auxiliary, the Kiel Senior Citizens Club and Thrifty 12 Homemakers Club. She and her husband observed their golden wedding Aug. 28, 1966. Surviving are her husband; two daughters and a son (names omitted for privacy); 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He wanted to take a rest from his work and, to warm himself, sat beside the oven and fell asleep. When someone tried to wake him after a while, it was discovered that he was dead.

EUGENE MITTNACHT cemetery 89D Manitowoc Herald Times December 15, 1959 Eugene Mittnacht, 52, of 2606 Jackson St., Two Rivers, an earier steward at the Two Rivers Elks Club and later a contract mail hauler between Two Rivers and Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Monday night at Holy Family Hospital Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 8:30 am Thursday at the Kleiin and Stangle Funeral Home in Two Rivers, and at 9:00 am at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. H.J. Schmitz officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Eugene Mittnacht was born at Manitowoc March 17, 1907 a son of the late Peter and Anne Coutley Mittnacht. For a number of years he worked for the Triangle Oil Co. in that City. He moved to Two Rivers 11 years ago and for a short period was steward at the Elks club. Later he took over the job of trucking mail between the two cities. For the past three years he was employed as a watchman at Plant No. 5 of the Mirro Aluminum Co. at Manitowoc. Besides his wife, the former Dorothy Hanson, whom he married at Manitowoc Nov. 28,1931, he leaves a sister, Mrs William C. Kurth of Manitowoc and two brothers, Lester and Vernon of Manitowoc, and a number of nieces and nephews. GEORG MITTNACHT cemetery #7 From Der Nord Westen, 05 Mar. 1891: Death on Sat. of Georg Mittnacht in the home of his son in Manitowoc Rapids. He was born in Iggersheim, Oberamt Mergentheim, Württemberg, and reached the age of 68 yrs. 5 mos. The funeral was yesterday morning at the Catholic Cemetery in Pine Grove.

LESTER MITTNACHT cemetery #44 Lester H Mittnacht, 67 of 1113 S 23rd St., Manitowoc, died Friday noon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness. Funeral Services will be at 8:30 am at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc , and 9 am at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr John S. Landowski will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. He was born Aug. 8, 1895, at Manitowoc, the son of the late Peter and Anna Coutley Mittnacht. He was educated in Manitowoc Schools and for 27 years was employed as a switchman for the Chicago & North Western Railroad. In the 1930's he was employed by the City of Manitowoc, first in the streets department and later with the cemetery and parks division. During World War II he was employed as an outside machinist by the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. He retired in 1960. He married the former Erna Hopf in 1914. She died in 1916. In 1921 he married the former Arabella Langlois of Manitowoc who survives him. Other survivors include a son, a daughter, a brother , a sister all of Manitowoc: six grandchildren and one great great grandchild. HARRY A. MIX cemetery #43 Harry A. Mix, 65, of 1122 S. 15th St., Manitowoc, died early Sunday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Very Rev. Msgr. Alfred Schneider will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mr. Mix was born March 25, 1905, at Manitowoc, son of the late John and Josephine O'Konski Mix. He married Esther E. Boeder July 3, 1929, at Manitowoc. He was employed as a journeyman pipefitter at Manitowoc Shipbuilding, Inc., retiring in 1968. Mr. Mix was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 710, the St. Boniface Holy Name Society and the Pipefitters Local 445. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert of Chicago, William of Menomonee Falls, and Thomas of Cincinati, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Betty) McCoy, of Monona; two brothers, Francis of Absecon, N.J., and John of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Anton Kazda, of Green Bay and seven grandchildren. ERWIN J. MLADA cemetery #44 Erwin J. Mlada, 72, of 1110 S 24th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Mr. Mlada was born April 27, 1890, at Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and Mary Cizek Mlada. He married Hazel Runge May 12, 1912, at Manitowoc. The couple resided at Manitowoc since then. He was employed in Mirro Aluminum Co. shipping office from 1912 until his retirement in 1955. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former elder of Riverview Chapel of the church. He was a past member of Manitowoc Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Edward and Robert, of Manitowoc, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. BESSIE MLEZIVA cemetery #29 Mrs. Bessie Mleziva, 74, of Rt. 1, Maribel, died Saturday afternoon at Maple Crest Sanatorium Hospital, Whitlelaw, where she had been a patient since Monday, following a three-months' illness. Funeral services wil be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, the Rev. Milos Strupl officiating. Burial will be in Melnik Presbyterian Cemetery. The former Bessie Zeman was born Jan. 21, 1890, in the Town of Gibson, daughter of the late Adolph and Anna Skarivoda Zeman. She was married to Stephen Mleziva May 16, 1911. They farmed the Meleziva homestead farm until retiring in 1941. Mr. Mleziva died in July, 1952. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Leo Rezek of rural Maribel; five sons, Adolph, Rudolph and Robert Mleziva of rural Whitelaw and Louis and Eugene Mleziva of rural Maribel; three brothers, Joseph Zeman of rural Whitelaw, William Zeman of Milwaukee and Anton Zeman of Mishicot; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Sedlacek of Rural Mishicot and Mrs. Clarence Wenzel of rural Brillion; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. JOSEPH MLEZIVA cemetery #43 From Der Nord Westen, 12 July 1900: Joseph Melezva, a resident on Washington St. in our city, died Mon. at age 73 of a bronchial illness. His funeral will be held today.


JOSEPH MLEZIVA, SR. cemetery #26 Gibson Farmer's Rites To Be Held Saturday Morning Manitowoc, Wis.-The funeral of John Mleziva, Sr., 80, retired Gibson farmer who died at the farm home, operated by his son, Stephen, Wednesday night, will be held Saturday. A service will be held at the home at 9:30 a.m. and another will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's church, Kellnersville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Mleziva had been ill about four months. He was born in Bohemia in 1856 and came to this county at the age of 16. He married Anna Weber in 1883 and they located on a farm in Gibson, a mile north of Melnik. Survivors are the widow; three sons, Joseph, Francis Creek; Stephen, Gibson; Anton, Rosencrans; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body was moved to the Stephen Mleziva home this noon.
