ANTON KOPETSKY (d. 1916) cemetery #89D TWO RIVERS MAN DIES WHILE AT BASKET BALL GAME Excitement Causes Heart Attack and Demise of Anton Kopetsky at Game at Two Rivers Last Night - Was 24 Heart failure, believed to have been induced by excitement, caused the death of Anton Kopesky, a Two Rivers man while he was in attendance at the baskeball game between the Qu?n team of that city and the Bushey team of Appleton at Two Rivers last night. Kopetsky was stricken at 9:30 and died an hour later. Koptesky, who was employed at the plant of the Aluminum Goods Co. at Two Rivers had recently been ill but had recovered and returned to his work. He was carried to one of the dressing rooms under the stage and physicians were summoned but his life could not be saved and he died within an hour. It is said the Kopetsky had partaken of a hearty meal before attending the game and that indigestion, coupled with the excitement, he having been an enthusiast in basketball, caused the attack which proved fatal. The decedent was a son of Amton (sic) Kopetsky and had resided at Two Rivers for years. No inquest was held. The death of Kopetsky caused much excitement and the management announced that a dance which was to follow the game, would not be held.
