ALVIN GEBHARD cemetery #43 Alvin R. Gebhard, 73, of 1026 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Friday at a Manitowoc hospital. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. John Hephner will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mr. Gebhard was born July 21, 1898, at Hayton, Wis., son of the late John and Emma Helfrich Gebhard. He married Stella H. Schliesleder Sept. 5, 1942, at Manitowoc. He owned and operated Manitowoc Oil Co. with his brother, George, for the past 35 years retiring in 1967. Survivors include his wife and two daughters (Survivors omitted for privacy.); a brother, Hugo, of Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Oldenberg, of New Holstein; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. CLARA GEBHARD cemetery #82 Mrs. Henry Gebhard, 58, of 626 4th St., Kiel, died suddenly at her home Friday. The former Clara Schultz, she was born in Kiel Feb. 19, 1903, the daughter of the late Emil and Alvina Koeppen Schultz. She attended Kiel schools and on April 21, 1924, married Henry Gebhard at Manitowoc. They have lived in Kiel since then. Mrs. Gebhard had been employed at the Kiel Glove Co. and as part-time custodian at Kiel schools. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Surviving are her husband; two sons, three daughters, three sisters, Mrs. Otto Strade and Mrs. Reinhold Horst, both of Millhome, and Mrs. Louis Hardman of Albequerque, N.M.; two brothers, Oscar Schultz of Glenbeulah, and Richard of Sheboygan, and 15 grandchildren. HENRY GEBHARD cemetery #82 Henry F. Gebhart(sic), 85, of 626 Fourth St., Kiel, died Saturday night at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center, Neenah, where he had been a patient one day. He had been in ill health for the past several months. He was born July 10, 1897, at Hayton (Calumet County) a son of the late George and Theresa Helfrich Gebhart. He attended Charlestown schools. On April 21, 1924, he married Clara Schultz in Manitowoc. The couple lived in Kiel. She died in 1961. Mr. Gebhart was employed at the A. A. Laun Furniture Company for 38 years, retiring in 1962. He was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. Survivors are three daughters (private); two sons (private); 20 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Two grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. No newspaper named, 1982


MICHAEL GEBHARD cemetery #89A From Der Nord Westen, 04 July 1907: (From the correspondent in Two Rivers, 01 July) A large funeral was held here today. Mike Gebhart(sic), an old settler in our city who just celebrated his 84th birthday in May, died a few days ago. He operated a successful store here for many years before retiring. His wife died several years ago. He leaves 2 daughters –one married and living in Chicago, the other operates her father’s store here. The deceased had only been ill a short time. Pastor Ueberle gave the funeral address, and the church choir was also present. The Odd Fellows, to which order he had belonged, gave him the final official escort.


FRANK GEBHARDT cemetery #89A From Der Nord Westen, 17 Apr. 1879: Death of Frank Gebhardt on 14 Apr. in Two Rivers. He was born 20 July 1861, the son of Mr. M Gebhardt. He had been ill 43 weeks and his situation in the end was hopeless. His burial took place yesterday, Apr. 16 in the afternoon, and Mr. H. Stoll of Two Rivers delivered the death sermon.


HENRY GEBHARDT cemetery #89A From Der Nord Westen, 24 Oct. 1901: Henry M. Gebhard, one of the well-known business men of Two Rivers, died Tues. morning after an illness of several months. The deceased was born 04 Sep. 1855 in Two Rivers and lived there all his life. He personally ran a drugstore and was also manager of the telephone system in Two Rivers. He is survived by his sorrowing father and 2 sisters. The funeral of our deceased pharmacist Henry Gebhard on Fri. afternoon was exceptional. The Free Masons, of whom he was a member, were there as well as County Judge Anderson of Manitowoc and Dr. C. Currens from here. Pastor Gray of the Episcopal Congregation in Manitowoc delivered the funeral oration.

ELSIE F. GEERDTS cemetery #44 Mrs. Elsie F. Geerdts, 82, a resident of St. Mary Home, Manitowoc, for the past two years, died Tuesday evening at Holy Family Hospital Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Very Rev. Msgr. Alfred A. Schneider will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mrs. Geerdts, nee Elsie F. Milski, was born April 4, 1889, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Felix and Mary Jarocka Milski. She resided in Manitowoc all her life. She was married to Arthur H. Geerdts Jan. 19, 1909, at Manitowoc. Her husband preceded her in death Sept. 10, 1956. Mrs. Geerdts was a member of St. Ann Christian Mothers Altar Society of St. Boniface Church. Survivors include a son, Arthur, of Manitowoc, a daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Ruth) Greenwood, of Green Bay, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A daughter, five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. ELLA IDA GEHBE cemetery #44 From Der Nord Westen, 21 July 1887: Death by drowning yesterday about 5 o'clock of Ella Gehbe, the 9-yr. old daughter of Mr. August Gehbe. The child was playing a children's game with her playmates near the Zeman Kreynicks dock, and fell into the river. Help was called but by the time they arrived it was too late. Workmen from the Carl Zander factory pulled the body out with a rake, but medical help was of no avail


HEINRICH GEHBE cemetery #44 From Der Nord Westen, 13 Jan. 1887: Death of 82-year old Henry Gehbe, one of the first settlers of Manitowoc, on Mon. evening. He came to this county 32 years ago. His wife, who has also been ill for quite a while, survives him, and he also leaves a large number of children.

GEHLING cemetery #89B From Der Nord Westen, 12 July 1894: (From the correspondent in Two Rivers, 09 July) Charles Goehling, an old settler here, died last weekend at age 73 after a 2 mo. illness. He belonged to the G.A.R. and the Odd Fellows Lodge (this latter connection was corrected in a later publication to St. Joseph’s Mutual Aid Society.) He leaves a large family.

ROSA GEHRIG cemetery #21 Mrs. Rosa Gehrig, 96, of St. Nazianz, died Friday afternoon at Family Heritage Nursing Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday at Christianson Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. The Rev. Gregory Putzer, S.D.S., will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Gehrig, nee Rosa Heinzen, was born Jan. 28, 1874, in the Town of Eaton, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Beth Heinzen. She was married to Bernard Gehrig April 14, 1894, at St. Nazianz. Her husband preceded her in death April 3, 1943. Mrs. Gehrig was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Gregory Church. Survivors include four sons, Edmund and Herman of Sheboygan, Joseph of Manitowoc and Hubert of St. Nazianz; eight daughters, Mrs. Frank Fessler of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, Miss Rose Gehrig and Mrs. Antoinette Fessler of Manitowoc, Mrs. Maline Schultz of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Leo Diehl of Teaneck, N.J., Mrs. Millard Powres and Mrs. Joseph Pribyl of Chicago and Mrs. Elenore Rodwick of Sheboygan; 41 grandchildren and 87 great grandchildren. ROSE E. GEHRIG cemetery #43 Rose E. Gehrig, 94, formerly of 1433 N. 6th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday, December 22, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc. Entombment was in Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Miss Gehrig was born August 24, 1900, in St. Nazianz, daughter of the late Bernhard and Rosa Heinzen Gehrig. She had owned and operated the Annette Beauty Salon for many years before retiring in 1970. Survivors include two brothers, Joseph of Manitowoc, and Herman of Sheboygan; and three sisters, Maline Schultz of Rockford, Illinois, Ann Bartkus of Holiday, Florida, and Margaret Pribyl of Cicero, Illinois. JOSEPH GEHRKE cemetery #44 Joseph Gehrke, 57, a former Manitowoc resident who had been living at 230 Second St., Neenah, was killed instantly Tuesday afternoon in Oshkosh when he walked out between two parked cars and into the rear wheels of a trailer loaded with 72,000 pounds of cement. He fell underneath the dual wheels and was crushed. Funeral services are being handled by Kessler Funeral Home, Neenah. Gehrke was born April 2, 1903, at Manitowoc, where he spent his boyhood, and was graduated from Lincoln High School. He prepared for a career as a professional engineer at Chicago Tech and the University of Wisconsin. After graduation he went to work for Kimberly-Clark Corp., retiring in June, 1955. He was a member of the Neenah Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Reserve Officers Training Corps. National Guard and St. Patrick Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife; two daughters (Survivors omitted for privacy.); two brothers, Anton of Sheboygan Falls and Peter of Neenah; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Terens of Manitowoc and Mrs. James Wells of Ludington, Mich.; and three grandchildren. KATHARINA GEIGEL cemetery #6 Called By Death. Mrs. Catherine Geigel one of the old-time residents of the county passed away at the home of her son Peter Geigel, death being due to the infirmities of old age. The deceased was a native of Austria and at the time of her death had reached the ripe old age of 89 years and 8 months. She came to America with her husband and one child about 50 years ago, the family settling in the town of Rockland, this county. Nine children were born to them, of which three sons are living, namely: Peter in Kiel, John on the homestead and Joseph in Manitowoc. Mrs. Geigel's husband preceded her in death 17 years ago, and for the last 12 years she has made her home with her son Peter. The funeral will take palce this, Thursday, forenoon; the remains will be taken to the Catholic church at Clark's Mills, and the interment will be in the church (rest missing) (No newspaper name or date. MARY GEIGEL cemetery #6 Mrs. John Geigel, 82, of Rt. 2, Reedsville, died at her home about 8:30 Saturday. Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Reedsville Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville, the Rev. William Koutnik officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Clark Mills. Born in Germany Aug. 16, 1877, daughter of the late George and Anna Stahl, Mrs. Geigel came to this country at the age of 15. She was married to John Geigel Oct. 12, 1897, at St. Nazianz. They farmed all their lives in the Town of Rockland. He died about 15 years ago. The deceased was a honorary member of the Christian Mothers of St. Mary Church at Clark Mills. Survivors include three sons, William of Manitowoc, Ed of Rt. 1, Reedsville, and Alphonse at home; four daughters, Monica of Rt. 1, Reedsville, Mrs. Charles C. Vondrachek of Reedsville and Mrs. Frank Dvorachek and Mrs. Edwin Saur of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Schwab of St. Nazianz and Mrs. Sylvia Mertens of Milwaukee; 27 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. MATHIAS GEIGEL cemetery #6 From Der Nord Westen, 08 May 1902: We must belatedly report that Mathias Geigel died suddenly in Clarks Mills on 24 Apr. Mr. Geigel felt perfectly well all day and retired. Shortly afterward he cried out loudly and his wife asked what was wrong, to which he replied that he had had a terrible dream. A few minutes later Mrs. Geigel directed another question at her husband, but there was no answer and it was found that he was no longer breathing and life was gone. A stroke had killed him. Mathias Geigel reached the age of 74 yrs. 4 mos., was born in Bohemia, came to America about 36 yrs. ago and settled in Clarks Mills where he has lived ever since. He is survived by his sorrowing widow and 2 children. His funeral was held Mon. last week.


ANTHONY P. GEIMER (TONY) cemetery #89A From the Two Rivers Reporter, Wed. Dec. 12, 1951 Geimer is dead at Two Rivers Heart Attack Fatal To Retired Resident TWO RIVERS - Anthony P. (Tony) Geimer, 70, retired general superintendent of the Hamilton Manufacturing Company, died Tuesday afternoon at his home, 2601 Washington St., following a heart attack. Mr. Geimer, active in Masonic circles and a former basketball and baseball player, was in apparent good health until stricken early Tuesday. Masonic funeral services will be held at Grace Congregational church at 2 p.m. Friday, the Rev. Richard J. Wichlei officiating. Masonic rites at the church and at Pioneers Rest cemetery will be directed by Heber Clayton, past master of the Two Rivers Masonic Lodge. Mr. Geimer was born in the town of Gibson Feb. 28, 1881, a son of the late Jacob and Margaret Spang Geimer. He was 10 years old when the family moved to Two Rivers, where as a boy he learned the butcher trade at the old Main Street meat market operated by the late Richard Kahlenberg. In April 1899, he entered the employ of the Hamilton Company. Assigned to a carpenter bench he worked as a cabinet maker until 1913 when the steel plant of the firm was erected. That year he was promoted to a foreman in the steel plant and in 1918 became the division's superintendent. The genial mild-mannered Mr. Geimer, popular with the Hamilton employees, continued in the capacity of steel plant superintendent until 1932 when he was named general superintendent. After 48 years with the Hamilton firm, which he saw grow from a payroll of less than 200 to more than 1500, he retired in July, 1947. On Original RAC Team Mr. Geimer took keen interest in sports activities. He displayed marked talent as a baseball player and was shortstop on the city team, the Colts, at the turn of the century. In 1904 when the Reach Athletic Club organized one of the first basketball teams in this area better clubs in the middle west, Mr. Geimer was one of the original members. Mr. Geimer's identification with the Masonry dates back nearly 40 years ago, having been accepted into the Two Rivers Blue Lodge in February 1912. He served the lodge as worshipful master in 1918 and 1919. His other Masonic affiliations include membership in the Barney G. Lyman chapter 116, Royal Arch Masons, the Manitowoc council of the Ancient and Select Masters, the Low Twelve Club of the Two Rivers Blue Lodge, the Manitowoc Commandery No. 45, Knights Templars: the Wisconsin Consistory, and the Tripoli Temple Shrine of Milwaukee. He was also active in the Two Rivers Shrine Club, and also belonged to the "Hamilton 30 year Club." (Survivors omitted for privacy) In 1902 the marriage of Miss Muriel Bemis, a member of the pioneer Two Rivers family, and Mr. Geimer took place. She survives with a daughter, Mrs. Edward Jann, and a son, Oswald Geimer, both of Two Rivers. He also leaves six sisters, Mrs. David LaFond and Mrs. George Paska, both of this city; Miss Matilda Geimer of Milwaukee, Mrs. Joseph Bunker of Villa Park, Ill., Sister M. Imelda of Altoona, Pa., and Mrs. Fred Beth of this city, two brothers, Roland Geimer of San Marino, Cal., and Cornelius Geimer of Sturgis, Mich., a step sister, Mrs. Charles Weix of this city, Mrs. Michael Bartelme of Superior. There are two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. GERALD E. GEIMER cemetery #32 Gerald E. Geimer, age 68, of Two Rivers, joined his Lord in his Heavenly home, Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2000, at the Faith Ev. Free Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Rick Hines and Rev. Ray Caldwell will officiate, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. He was born February 13, 1932, in Two Rivers, son of the late Urban L. and Gertrude Forst Geimer. He attended St. Luke Parochial School and Washington High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On July 14, 1972, he married Mary Marx. He is retired from Kelvinator Products, where he was employed as a machinist. His memberships include the Men's Garden Club, Two Rivers French Canadian Club and he was actively involved in church building projects following his retirement. JACOB GEIMER cemetery #16 From Der Nord Westen, 18 Sep. 1902: Death in Town Cooperstown of Jacob Geimer, Sr., after an illness of several months. Mr. Geimer was born 29 Sep. 1829, near Trier in the Prussian Rhineland. In 1856 he acquired a piece of land in Town Cooperstown where he lived until his death. He leaves a widow and 14 children. MARIANNE GEIMER cemetery #89D Mrs. Jake Geimer, 63, a resident at the Tannery, Two Rivers route 2, for many years, died this morning after suffering a stroke. Funeral services will be held at Two Rivers Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the Jansky funeral home and at 9 o'clock from St. Luke's Catholic church with the Very Rev. Dean C.V. Hugo officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery. Mrs. Geimer, nee Marianne Gagnon, was born at Two Rivers Aug. 22, 1877 and spent her entire life in Manitowoc county. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gagnon. She was married on June 16, 1896. For many years she was an active member of the Altar society of St. Luke's church. MATHILDE GEIMER cemetery #89B Miss Mathilda C. Geimer, 73, 0f 1343 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, formerly a resident of Two Rivers and a World War I Army nurse, died Sunday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient six weeks. Miss Geimer was born Aug. 29, 1889, in the Town of Gibson, daughter of the late Jacob A. and Margaret Spang Geimer. When she was three years old the family brought her to Two Rivers, where she attended St. Luke Parochial School. Her late father for a number of years operated the Lake House at Two Rivers, now the site of Plantico Drug Store. She took her nurse training at Holy Family Hospital and completed it at Milwaukee Hospital. In 1918, she entered the Army Nurses Corps and after her discharge two years later returned to Milwaukee where she was engaged in hospital and private nursing duty, retiring eight years ago. She was a member of the Delano Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Milwaukee. Surviving are two brothers, Roland, of California and C. J. (Neil) Geimer, of Burr Oak, Mich., and five sisters, Mrs. George Paska, Mrs. David LaFond and Mrs. Fred Beth of Two Rivers, Mrs. Joseph Bunker, of Villa Park, Ill., and Sister M. Co. steel plant at Two Rivers, a member of one of Two Rivers earliest families and whose grandfather was the first practicing physician at Two Rivers, died Saturday afternoon at Ressel Nursing Home, Milwaukee. She had been residing with a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Jann at Milwaukee for more than a year. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, the Rev. Richard H. Trump, pastor of the Grace Congregational Church, Two Rivers, officiating. Burial will be in Pioneers Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mrs. Geimer, nee Muriel Bemis, was born at Two Rivers Feb. 28, 1882, daughter of the late Elmer and Wilhelmina Oswald Bemis. Her grandfather, the late Dr. John Oswald, was the first physician to practice at Two Rivers. She attended Two Rivers public schools and was married June 25, 1902, to Anthony P. Geimer, who died in Two Rivers in 1951. Mrs. Geimer was the last of the Bemis family in Two Rivers, which included two brothers, Atty. Harry, a legal counsel for the Soo Line Railroad, and Charles Bemis. For many years Mrs. Geimer was active in Two Rivers Chapter 229, Order of Eastern Star, of which she was a past matron. CELESTINE A. "SALLY" GEISER cemetery #32 Celestine A. "Sally" Geiser, age 86, of the Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center, New Holstein, died on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002 at the center. She was born on March 12, 1916 in New Holstein, a daughter of the late Frank and Mathilda (Schwarz) Wagner. Sally married Gregory C. Geiser on April 28, 1937 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1987. The couple had farmed in the Town of Chilton until their retirement. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton, the Christian Mothers, and the Daughters of Isabella. LOUIS GEISLER cemetery #44 L. GEISLER, SR. DEAD AFTER A BRIEF ILLNESS Louis C. Geisler, Sr., care taker of the new city hall and father of Undersheriff Louis Geisler, Jr., died at the hospital this morning after an illness of four weeks duration which developed pneumonia and complications. Not many friends were aware of Mr. Geisler's serious condition and news of his death is a great shock. Mr. Geisler was a native of Sheboygan county, having been born at Mosel, Sept. 6, 1857, and removed here more than forty years ago and had since resided in this city. He was married in 1883 to Minna Koebke who with eight children survive, the children being Mrs. Milos Nespor, Carl, Otto, Louis, Linda, Theodore, Victor, and Luella, all of this city. Three brothers and one sister also survive. Mr. Geisler was a member of the Royal League and of the United Aid. In former years Mr. Geisler was employed as a painter but when the new city hall was opened he was elected care taker and had been in charge of the building. CURTIS GEISSLER cemetery #33 Curtis H. Geissler, 55, of Newton, died Wednesday evening at his resience following a coronary attack. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. Mr. Geissler was born July 24, 1905, at Green Bay, son of the late Hugo and Odelia Gigot Geissler. He came to Manitowoc as a child with his parents where Feb. 17, 1927, he married Minnie Schmidt. They resided in the city until moving to Grimms 15 years ago and the past five years have resided at Newton where he operated Geissler Bar. JOSEPH A. GEISSLER, REV. cemetery 89B From the Wisconsin State Register [Portage, Columbia Co., Wisconsin], Friday March 9, 1923 Former Parish Priest Is Dead Father Giessler(sic), Once Pastor at St. Mary's Passes at Manitowoc Rev. Father Joseph A. Giessler, formerly priest at St. Mary's in this city, died at Holy Family Hospital at Manitowoc Tuesday morning, Feb. 27. His age was 69 years. For the past twenty-six years he had been in charge of St. Luke's congregation at Two Rivers. He was born at Paterson, New Jersey and was ordained to the priesthood at Louvain, Belgium, June 7, 1879. He served in a parish at Paterson before coming to Wisconsin to affiliate with the Green Bay diocese. Pastorates in this state were at DePere, Freedom, Portage, Custer, Kaukauna and Two Rivers, and for several months he conducted services at St. Martin's church at Almond. His only near relative is a sister, Miss Agnes Giessler, who makes her home at St. Luke's parsonage. Funeral services will be held at Two Rivers Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock, with interment in St. Luke's cemetery. In telling of his demise the Stevens Point Daily Journal says: "Father Giessler was a zealous worker and untiring in his efforts for the betterment of his parishioners. He also took an active interest in civic affairs and was regarded as one of Two Rivers' most progressive citizens. He is especially remembered locally for his jovial disposition and abundance of wit."

ALOIS J. GELLINGS cemetery #83 Alois J. Gellings, 89, a retired Town of Eaton farmer, died early today at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc, where he had been a resident six years. Born on July 24, 1886 at St. Nazianz, he was a son of the late John and Catherine Mueller Gellings. He attended St. Gregory Catholic School there. On May 10, 1921, he married Anna Broeckert at SS Peter and Paul Cathoic Church, Kiel. The couple located on a farm near St. Nazianz, retiring in 1947 when they moved to Kiel. Mrs. Gellings died July 24, 1953. While in Kiel, he was caretaker of the city cemetery. He was a member of SS Peter Paul Parish and its Holy Name Society. CATHERINE GELLINGS cemetery #21 Mrs. Gellings Of Near Kiel Passes Away On Monday Kiel - Mrs. Katharine Gellings, 70, passed away at her home, three miles north of Kiel, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock following an illness of a few days. Mrs. Gellings, nee Mueller, was born on a farm in the town of Schleswig, June 5, 1864, and was married to John Gellings of St. Mazianz in 1883. For five years until the death of Mr. Gellings in 1888 the couple resided on a farm near St. Nazianz. For the past seventeen years Mrs. Gellings and family have occupied the August Luedtke homestead farm in the town of Schleswig, where Mrs. Gellings passed away. Survivors are three sons, Peter and John at home, and Alois of St. Nazianz, one grandaughter, two brothers, Peter and Jacob Mueller of St. Nazianz, and one sister, Mrs. Mathias Gellings of St. Martin, Wis. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at the family residence near Kiel and at 10 o'clock at the St. Gregory Catholic church in St. Nazianz. The Rev. PETER GELLINGS cemetery #83 Peter Gellings Passes Away. Peter Gellings, aged 57, a resident of the town of Schleswig, two miles north of this city, passed away Thursday at 10 p.m. at the St. Camillus hospital at Wauwatosa, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Gellings was born December 5, 1884, in St. Nazianz, the son of John and Catherine Mueller Gellings. He attended the parochial school at St. Nazianz, and in 1917 moved to the present farm home with his brother, John, and they have resided there since. Survivors are two brothers, John on the homestead, and Aloys at St. Nazianz. Funeral services were held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the C.J. Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. services were conducted at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church, with the Rev. Father F.X. Kheil officiating. Pallbearers were John Gellings, Frank Mueller, John Endries, Ed Mueller, Clemens Endries and Peter Koenig. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends from Fond du Lac, West Allis, Sheboygan, St. Nazianz, School Hill, Eaton, Marytown and Chilton attended the services.
