ALDEN J. DRAB cemetery #32 Alden J. Drab, age 75, of Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, July 17, 1997, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 21, 1997, at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Larry Seidl will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. He was born June 18, 1922, at Norman, Kewaunee County, son of the late Joseph F. and Mary Walecka Drab. On June 24, 1944, he married Marcella Zellner at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. The couple celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1994. Al was employed at GTE for 39 years serving in Seymour, Plymouth, Denmark and Two Rivers, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the men of St. Luke, the Two Rivers Senior Center, and was a former member of the Two Rivers Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife, Marcella Drab, four sisters and a brother-in-law, a brother and sister-in-law, an additional brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Maynard, five brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law. Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home from 5-8 p:m. Sunday. DRAEGER cemetery #89A TAKEN TO OSHKOSH HOSPITAL WEEK AGO, AUGUST DRAEGER, TWO RIVERS, BROUGHT BACK A CORPSE Taken to the Northern hospital at Oshkosh a week ago when his mind gave way under worry over illness and financial troubles, August Draeger, a Two Rivers man was brought back to his home today, a corpse. The burial will be held at Two Rivers. Draeger was injured last December when he fell on an icy walk and fractured his hip. He was at the hospital here for weeks and constant worry over his trouble affected the man’s mind and he was sent to the hospital at Oshkosh for treatment. His condition was such that he had to be taken to the train on a stretcher. Yesterday report was received at probate court that the man had died and the body arrived here last night. DAN DRAGOVICH cemetery #44 Daniel Dragovich, 81, of 1027 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning at home. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Rev. Alfred Pritzl officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Dragovich was born Aug. 15, 1882, in Austria, son of the late Emil and Anna Jellich Dragovich. He came to the Untied States in 1902 and resided at Pittsburgh, Pa., until coming to Manitowoc in 1905. He was a fireman for Manitowoc Public Utilities and the City of Manitowoc Street Department for many years, retiring in 1957. He married the former Anna Roubal April 17, 1922, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. His wife and nieces and nephews survive. EVA DRAHEIM cemetery #78 CITY PIONEER DEAD AT 87 Mrs. Eva Draheim One of City's Oldest Residents. Mrs. Eva Draheim, one of the counties oldest residents died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gustave Mueller, 2001 Washington street at an early hour this morning from effects of old age. Mrs. Draheim had become very enfeebled of late and her death was not unexpected. Deceased was born at Klonis Kreis Cornitz, West Prussia, November 16, 1832 (sic) and married there in 1845 and with her husband came here many years ago. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1895 in this city. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Draheim, five of whom survive to mourn her death, being Mrs. Charles Schwalk, Chilton, Mrs. C. Miller, Minneapolis, John Draheim, Collins, August Draheim, Reedsville and Mrs. Gustave Mueller, this ity (sic). The funeral services will be held at the Mueller home Friday afternoon, Rev. Machmiller officiating and the body will be taken to Collins for burial Saturday. JOHANN DRAHEIM cemetery #78 From Der Nord Westen, 19 Nov. 1903: Death Wed. of John Draheim in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gustav Mueller here. The deceased was born 05 Sep. 1819 in Klonia, Kreis Conitz, West Prussia, married Eva Zutz on 24 Mar. 1845, with whom he celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1895. They came to America in 1854 and settled in Reedsville. Following his wife’s death he moved in with his daughter, the above named Mrs. Mueller. He is survived by 5 children.
JOHN A. DRAHEIM cemetery #25 Rt. 4 Chilton, Wis. Age 79, formerly of Appleton, passes away Sunday afternoon. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Dorothy and Pauline, both of Appleton; two sons, Rex, Johnson Creek, Wis., and Bruce, Washington, DC. MAUDE W. DRAHEIM cemetery #25 Mrs. John Draheim, 82, of Rt. 4, Chilton, died Wednesday evening at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Reedsville Funeral Home. The Rev. Allen Bowe of Kiel will officiate and burial will be in Niles Cemetery. Mrs. Draheim, nee Maud Woodcock, born Jan. 5, 1888, in Town of Rockland, daughter of the late Ferd and Alice Hammond Woodcock. She was married to John A. Draheim Dec. 31, 1907, at Reedsville, Survivors include two sons, Rex of Johnson Creek, and Bruce of Racine; two daughters, Miss Dorothy and Miss Pauline of Appleton; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. ANNA (VOIGT) DRAKE cemetery #87 Mrs. Herman Drake, 83, died Monday evening at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lenz at Louis Corners near Kiel. Mr. and Mrs. Drake had been living there for the past two years. The former Anna Voigt was born in Germany on June 25, 1878, a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Louisa Ludwig Voigt, and came to this country with her parents at the age of 7. The family settled in Kiel. On Dec. 7, 1896, she was married to Herman Drake of Louis Corners. The couple settled on the Drake homestead farm at Louis Corners. They retired from farming in 1943 when they moved to Kiel. Mrs. Drake was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Louis Corners and a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Survivors, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Miss Norma Drake of Milwaukee, Mrs. Carl (Orvilla) Lenz of Louis Corners; three sons, Edwin of Kiel, Helmuth of the Town of Russell, Richard of Milwaukee; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Richard of Tujunga, Calif., and Bernard in Oregon. One child, a sister and a brother preceded her in death. Services are pending at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel. Details will be announced Wednesday. EDWIN DRAKE cemetery #82 Edwin E. Drake, 94, a former Kiel resident, died Sunday afternoon, March 8, 1992 at Willowdale Nursing home, New Holstein, where he had been a resident for the past nine days. He was born May 2, 1897 in the Town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County, son of the late Herman and Anna (Voigt) Drake. He attended school in Louis Corners. On Dec. 25, 1920 he married Olive Reichart in Louis Corners. He was employed at the former Arps Corporation in New Holstein, retiring in 1963. His wife died March 31, 1961. He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel and the Kiel Senior Citizens. Survivors include three daughters (private), seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Helmuth (Dora) Drake, Elkhart Lake; and Richard (Sylvia) Drake, Kiel; two sisters, Norma Alonso, a resident of Willowdale Nursing home, and Arvilla (Carl) Lenz, Kiel. FRANK W. DRAKE cemetery #44 Frank W. Drake, 60, of route 5, Manitowoc, a tester at the White House Milk company, died last night at the home in Manitowoc Rapids following a several months illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, and at 2 o'clock at the Redeemer Lutheran church, the Rev. Louis Huber officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemtery. Mr. Drake was born in Marathon county in 1887 and later moved to Stevens Point, where he married Miss Martha Sonnenberg. They located at Elkhorn, Wis., and in 1920 came to this city where Mr. Drake was employed as a tester at the White House Milk company. In 1931 he was sent to Vesper, Wis., to manage the company's plant there and in 1944 returned to Manitowoc. He retired last August because of failing health. He was a member of the Men's club of the Redeemer congregation. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Verne and Emery at home; brother, James of Waukesha. HERMAN DRAKE cemetery #87 Herman Drake, 88, of Kiel, died Sunday evening at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. And Mrs. Carl Lenz, at Louis Corners, where he had been living the past four years. He was born on the Drake homestead farm April 10, 1875, a son of the late William and Fredericka Drake. He received his education at the district school and was married Dec. 7, 1896, to the former Anna Voigt of Kiel. The couple lived on the Drake home farm at Louis Corners, which they operated until their retirement in 1943 when they moved to Kiel. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners, and a former elder of the church. The couple observed their 65th wedding anniversary in 1961. Mrs. Drake died in February of 1962. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Norma Drake, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Carl (Orvilla) Lenz, Louis Corners; three sons, Edwin of Kiel, Helmuth of R. 2, Elkhart Lake, and Richard, Milwaukee; nine granchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. The Rev. Adalbert Schultz will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. OLIVE DRAKE cemetery #82 Mrs. Edwin R. Drake, 61, of 724 6th St., Kiel, died unexpectedly at her home early this morning. She was born Olive Reichart on Feb. 11, 1900, in the Town of Schleswig, a daughter of the late Emil and Annie Raquet Reichart. She received her education in the Kiel public school and was married to Edwin Drake of Louis Corners on Dec. 25, 1920. After marriage the couple farmed in Schleswig, and for the past 17 years have lived in Kiel. At the present time, Mr. Drake is employed at the Arps Corporation in New Holstein. Mrs. Drake was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed Church in Kiel and the Woman’s Guild of the church. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, three grandchildren and one brother, Eldon, of Kiel. She was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother. OLIVE DRASNER Cemetery #26 (The following from the Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter, 1978) DRASNER Mrs. Olive Drasner, 82, formerly of Route 1, Whitelaw, died Friday evening at the home of a son and daughter-in-law in Minneapolis, Minn. Funeral services will be 9:45 a.m. Tuesday in Saur Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Kellnersville. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Alfred Schneider will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Drasner, nee Olive Ledvina, was born March 11, 1896, in Kellnersville, daughter of the late Lawrence and Catherine Rief Ledvina. She was married to Henry Drasner Oct. 26, 1927 in St. Joseph Church. He preceeded her in death April 13, 1965. She was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Joseph. In her early years, she was a piano instructor. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, a daughter and son-in-law. a sister, and four grandchildren. Six brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Friends may call in Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday until time of services. A wake service will be conducted 7:30 Monday by Msgr. Schneider. The Rosary will be recited by the Rosary Society Monday at 8 p.m.

JOHN DREES cemetery #16 From Der Nord Westen, 30 Nov. 1905: Death Mon. of 82-yr. old John Drees at the home of his son Peter here, from old age debility. The deceased had formerly lived in Town Cooperstown where he operated a farm for 44 yrs. before retiring 4 yrs. ago to come live with his son here. He leaves a widow and several children. The body was taken to Cooperstown and buried there yesterday.
KATHERINE DREES cemetery #43 MRS. C. DREES DIES TUESDAY 82-Year-Old Woman Was Lifelong Resident of Manitowoc Mrs. Catherine Drees, 82, nee Pfeffer, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tom Sipnefski, 917 South 12th street. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 8:30 from the Shimek and Schwartz funeral home and at 9 o'clock from the St. Boniface Catholic church. Burial will be made in the Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Drees was born in Manitowoc Nov. 25, 1855. She was married to Peter Drees May 30, 1881. He passed away eight years ago. Mrs. Drees lived in Manitowoc all her life. She was a member of the St. Anne's Society of the St. Boniface church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sipnefski; a sister, Mrs. Anton Wilfer, Manitowoc; and two grandchildren. PETER DREES cemetery #43 PIONEER FIRE FIGHTER OF CITY PASSES Peter Drees Was Member of the First Hook and Ladder Company of Manitowoc. Peter Drees, one of the last survivors of Manitowoc's first organization of fire fighters as a member of the hook and ladder company which fifty years ago afforded the city protection against fire, passed away at the hospital Wednesday at the age of 70 years. Death was due to heart trouble and infirmities. Native of County Mr. Drees was a native of Manitowoc county, born at Cooperstown Jan. 6, 1859 and had spent his entire life here, residing in this city for upward of 50 years. For many years he was engaged in the wagon making and carpenter trades until his retirement some years ago. Priest Who Wedded, to Bury Him On May 31, 1881 Mrs. Drees was married to Catherine Pfeffer in this city, the marriage being the first at which the Rev. Father Piel officiated upon locating here. Rev. Piel will officiate at the funeral of Mr. Drees to be held Saturday morning from the home at 917 So. 12th street, to St. Boniface church at 9 o'clock. Besides his wife, Mr. Drees is survived by one daughter Mrs. Thomas Sepnefsky, this city and by two brothers Paul and Richard at Hays Kansas. One grand daughter also survives. GLORIA DREGER cemetery #78 Miss Gloria Dreger, 44, of Rt. 4, Chilton, died unexpectedly Saturday at home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Collins. The Rev. Kenneth Edenhauser will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Miss Dreger was born Jan. 6, 1928, in the Town of Rockland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Dreger. She was graduated from Valders High School with the class of 1946. Survivors include her parents, a brother and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Matznick, of Brillion. John D. “Jack” Dreger, age 79, of Two Rivers, died peacefully Thursday night, Feb. 3, 2005 at the Manitowoc Health Care Center, with his loving family at his side. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Kay S. Richter, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the American Legion and the VFW Post of Two Rivers. Jack was born May 15, 1925 in Two Rivers, a son of the late Robert and Alma (Gesell) Dreger. He attended schools in Two Rivers, graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1943. John served with the United States Navy during WWII, from Oct. 5, 1943 until April 11, 1946. On April 9, 1949, he married the former Betty Bohm. She preceded him in death Dec. 14, 1977. For the past 25 years, Jack was blessed to have enjoyed the companionship of a very dear friend. Jack was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years, retiring as a rural carrier in 1980. He was a longtime member of Calvary Lutheran Church where he served as an usher, and council member, and was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where he also sang with the church choir. He was currently a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center; he was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, two daughters and sons-in-law, six grandchildren. He is further survived by a dear friend and companion, one James Dreger, one sister, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Dreger, and an infant granddaughter. BEATRICE DREHER cemetery #89D Mrs. William Dreher, 20, nee Beatrice Dassey, whose husband is a crew member aboard a Manitowoc-built submarine in the southwest Pacific, died Sunday at the Two Rivers municipal hospital, where she had been a patient for three weeks. Death was due to complications incident to childbirth. A daughter born last Thursday is reported doing well. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lukes Catholic church, Two Rivers, with interment in Holy Cross cemetery. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dassey, Mrs. Dreher was born in 1924, attended schools in Two Rivers and was employed at the Hamilton plant before her marriage to William Dreher, motor machinist mate in the U.S. Navy, in this city, June 3, 1944. Word was forwarded to her husband of his wife's illness but he has not been advised of her death. After the departure of her husband Mrs. Dreher made her home with her father and brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. George Bonk Jr., of 1110 16th street, Two Rivers. Survivors include her husband, daughter, father and sister and another sister, Mrs. Joseph Wimmer of Milwaukee, and three brothers, Lester Dassy, Two Rivers; Cpl. Drier (sic), 83, who lived with her son, Darwin, on Mishicot route 1 until taken ill about three months ago, died Saturday night at St. Mary’s hospital in Milwaukee. Three months ago she went to Milwaukee to live with her daughter, Mrs. C.W. Warner, and about a week ago she was taken to the hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2pm from St. Paul’s Lutheran church with the Rev. R.B. Walden officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Drier, nee Julia Peterson, was born in Kewaunee on July 1, 1868. Her husband died in 1938. Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. C.W. Warner, Mrs. E.C. He had been ill for about two years with asthma and lung trouble. Mr. Drews was born in New Holstein, Aug. 16, 1872, where he grew to manhood, and learned the blacksmith trade. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Radder on Nov. 5th, 1895, and the couple came to Hinzeville, where Mr. Drews owned a b1acksmith shop. Several years later he sold the shop and moved to Steinthal with his family, where he was engaged in the same business. Fifteen years ago he disposed of his shop and went to live on the Rud. Hungsberg farm, where he died. Three children were born to the couple, of whom one son died in infancy. He leaves his widow, one son Hugo and a daughter Leona at home; also two brothers and five sisters. The funeral was held last Wednesday afternoon with services at the Reformed church in Schleswig, Rev. Friedrichsmeier, in charge. The remains were laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Drews, nee Elizabeth Radder, was born in the town of Schleswig November 3, 1873. On November 5, 1895 she was married to August Drews. One year after their marriage was spent in Kiel; 15 years he operated a blacksmith shop in Steinthal, and later purchased a farm in the town of Schleswig, where Mrs. Drews has since resided. Her husband preceded her in death September 20, 1925. Survivors are a son Hugo and a daughter Lorinne, both of the town of Schleswig; two sisters, Mrs. William Dedering of this city and Mrs. Otto Hansen of Fond du Lac. One child has preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday from the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and burial was made in the local cemetery. FRANK DREWS cemetery #82 Frank E. Drews, 89, a Kiel resident, died Monday at Rocky Knoll where he had been a resident since April. He was born in Kiel on May 15, 1883, son of the late Julius and Mary Greeley Drews. On Sept. 22, 1945, he married Helen Wiharms of Manitowoc. After marriage the couple lived in Kiel. Mr. Drews was employed at the Kiel Wooden Ware Co. for 51 years before his retirement in 1948. He was a charter member of the Kiel Fire Department and also a life member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel. Survivors are his wife, of Manitowoc; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Hildebrandt of New Holstein and Mrs. August Ashenbach of Horsehaven, Wash. He was preceded in death by a son. HELMUTH DREWS cemetery #82 Helmuth Drews, 41 year-old former resident of this city, passed away at his home in the town of Newton, near Osman, last Wednesday afternoon following a lingering illness. Mr. Drews was born in Kiel on June 25, 1907, the son of Mr. and (deceased) Mrs. Frank Drews. On Jan. 22, 1938, he was married to Miss Hildegarde Ramminger of Crystal Lake. The couple made their home here for a few years and for some time near Manitowoc. For the past two years they have lived in the town of Newton. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, three sons; his father, Frank Drews, and his grandfather, Julius Drews of here. One son preceded him in death. Mayor Schroeder this afternoon issued a request that flags in the city be placed at half mast tomorrow, especially during the funeral hour, in honor of the dead and the mayor and other city officials will attend the funeral. Messages from Camp Custer this morning announced the shipment of the body from that place yesterday. It had been expected that the body would reach here this morning but it will not arrive until four this afternoon. It is understood that the body will reach here under escort of a detail of soldiers from Camp Custer, who will remain for the burial tomorrow. MARTHA DREWS cemetery #82 Dies After Siege of Double Pneumonia Mrs. Frank Drews passed away at the St. Nicholas hospital in Sheboygan at about 11 o’clock this Wednesday morning, where she had been confined due to double pneumonia. The deceased, nee Martha Voigt was born in Germany on May 1, 1880, the daughter of Ferdinand Voigt and Mary Ladwig. At the age of three years she came to this country with her parents. On August 25, 1906 she was united in marriage with Frank Drews, and for the past 36 years have resided in this city. Survivors are her husband; one son, Helmuth; one sister, Mrs. Herman Drake of Louis Corners; two brothers, Bernard Voigt of Portland, Oregon, and Richard Voigt of Belgium, and 3 grand- children. Her father passed away in July, 1940; one brother, Ferdinand, died in December, 1939, and two sisters in infancy. NORMA E. DREWS cemetery #82 Norma E. Drews, age 91, a resident of Calumet Homestead, New Holstein for the past five years, died Monday morning, Jan. 29, 2001 at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton. She is the former Norma Garbe, born June 15, 1909 in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, daughter of the late Henry and Emilie Meyer Garbe. She attended school in Sheboygan Falls. On Jan. 20, 1934 she married Raymond “Cap” Drews at St. Johns Reformed Church in New Holstein. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1990. Norma worked for Laun Furniture Company, Kiel for two years and also held various jobs in the Kiel area. The couple lived in Kiel until retirement when they moved to New Holstein. She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Kiel. She enjoyed embroidery and number puzzles. Stanislaus Drobka Was Well Known in Early Days of City" "Stanislaus Drobka, one of the early pioneers of the county and a long time resident of this city died Sunday at his home at Newton and was buried there, today. Decedent was nearly 80 years of age and in Manitowoc's early history was an employe in the service of Vilas and Barnes, later becoming a workman in the Barnes, Mendlik, and Mulholland establishment, where he remained during a period of nearly thirty years. Being of an industrious and thrifty nature he saved enough of his earnings to buy a piece of property in Newton and conduct a farm there for a considerable length of time. He was one of the leading men in the community where he resided. Henry Mulholland is in attendance at the funeral." SHARON DROBNACK cemetery #33 Sharon (Wisnowski) Drobnack has gone to be with our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ, as He called her home suddenly on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007. Our beloved Sharon was born on Aug. 7, 1980, to adoring parents and four loving brothers, and was the light of our lives for all of her 27 years. Sharon touched us all with caring and love, as she exhibited her generous heart and selflessness, caring for and ministering to others with her beautiful smile and lively personality, bringing kindness and joy to all who knew her. Sharon served with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office for several years, and she was a volunteer at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital. The youngest of five children, Sharon's life is celebrated as she is profoundly missed by all in her family. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) Funeral services were held in Pensacola, Fla., on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Knollwood Chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of the committal service at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Larry Harrah will officiate, with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. Sharon attended Kingsway Church and Christian Center, where she served in faith and honored our Heavenly Father and His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. It is to Him we give thanks for lending Sharon to us, allowing her to stay with us to bless our lives in so many ways. In Him, Sharon will continually live on in the hearts of her family, her many dear friends and all who loved her and were touched by her warm, caring ways. CLEMENTINE DROSSART cemetery #89D Mrs. Clementine Drossart, 69, of 2004 Madison St., Two Rivers, died shortly before noon Friday at Two Rivers, Municipal Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Klein & Stangel, Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, the Rev. Robert Rhyner officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Drossart, nee Clementine Ducak, was born Oct. 19, 1902, in the Town of Lincoln, Kewaunee County, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ducak. She was married April 21, 1924 to John Drossart, who preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1962. She was a longtime employe of the Schwartz Mfg. Co., retiring six years ago. Survivors include two sons, three sisters, Mrs. Mary DeBauche of Pulaski, and Mrs. Anna Matheys of Two Rivers, and Mrs. Catherine Schultz of Fort Atkinson; a brother, Lambert Ducak of Chicago, Ill., and eight grand- children. ALFRED DROST cemetery #43 From Der Nord Westen, 26 Jan. 1905: Alfred Drost died Mon. from consumption. The deceased had been ill with the disease for about 6 mos., … but it suddenly took a turn for the worst on Sat. On Mon. they wanted to take him to the hospital where he could be better cared for, but he died even as the transport was being arranged. Alfred Drost was born 08 Apr. 1860 in Wesel, Rhineland, and in 1875 came to America with his parents. The family settled in Manitowoc and it was here the deceased has always lived. As a result of a childhood disease he had completely lost his hearing. 22 yrs. ago, together with his father Henry Drost, he established a box factory here which under his direction, grew straight upward and is still operated by H. Drost & Sons. In addition to his sorrowing father, he leaves a brother and a sister. His mother died a few years ago. The funeral will be held this morning from St. Boniface Church.
CHRISTINA DROST cemetery #43 From Der Nord Westen, 17 July 1902: Death Tues., following a long illness, of 72-yr. old Mrs. Henry Drost in her residence at 1213 South Main St. The deceased, wife of Mr. Henry Drost, the well-known operator of the box and carton factory on 9th St., came to Manitowoc with her husband 27 yrs. ago and has lived here ever since. For many years she operated a successful cleaning shop on Jay St. and was well known and highly thought of in the city of Manitowoc and its environs. In addition to her sorrowing husband, she is survived by 2 sons and a daughter. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning from the Catholic Church.

ELLA DRUMM cemetery #44 DEATH OF MRS. DRUMM SHOCK TO MANY FRIENDS Succumbs to Shock of Operation After a Brief Illness Friends were shocked Saturday afternoon by the announcement of the death of Mrs. Hugo Drumm, Washington street, which occurred at the hospital following an operation which she underwent a few hours previously. Mrs. Drumm was removed to the hospital earlier in the week and was not thought to be in serious condition. The shock of the operation caused death. Mrs. Drumm, nee Ella Daeke, was 35 years of age, having been born in this city August 18, 1882. She is survived by her husband and one son, Harry, aged 6, her mother, Mrs. O. Daeke, two brothers Henry and William and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Guse, Jr., and Mrs. Albert Stock. FRANK J. DRUMM cemetery #44 Frank J. Drumm, 79, an alderman representing Manitowoc's Fifth Ward for 14 consecutive years before his retirement, died early Monday morning at Park Lawn Home, Sheboygan, following a heart attack. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Drumm was born April 8, 1879, in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late John and Henrietta Wetenkamp Drumm. He attended schools in Rapids and May 25, 1901, married the former Elizabeth Schmidt in Manitowoc. The couple took up residence in the city where Mr. Drumm became a carpenter- contractor until his retirement in 1944. During this time he served seven consecutive terms as alderman for the Fifth Ward. His wife died 13 years ago. He was a member of the Eagles and of the Odd Fellows. Surviving are two sons, Charles and Delmar of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold Albrecht of Manitowoc; a brother, Hugo of Whittier, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Peter Goldmann of Chicago; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. GERALD ‘JERRY’ D. DRUMM cemetery #44 Gerald "Jerry" D. Drumm, age 78, of Manitowoc, died early Friday morning, May 26, 2006, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milawukee. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. The Revs. Robert Kujawski and Waldemar Loescher will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery with military graveside honors accorded by Otto Oas VFW Post #659. Jerry was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Manitowoc, son of the late Elmer and Mabel Raatz Drumm. He was a 1945 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Jerry was enlisted into the United States Army Air Corps, serving from 1946 until 1947, stationed in Japan. On May 3, 1952, he was married to the former Elaine C. Kraemer at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at Haven. Jerry began farming and logging after high school, and in 1960 he started Jerry’s Sportsmans Lodge Tavern in Northeim. He also worked for the AH Stock company from 1962 until 1964 and worked at Silver Creek Nursery along with running his own custom crop spraying business. In 1980, he began working for the Manitowoc County Highway Department, retiring in 1993. Jerry loved to spend time at his Lakewood cottage, gardening, fishing, hunting and watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He was a dedicated caretaker of the Richard Drumm Memorial Forest in the town of Gibson that was dedicated to the memory of his late brother. Jerry was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, current secretary of the Manitowoc Chapter #138 of the IWLA-Izaak Walton League of America of which he received the Judge Tobin award and the Rahr Diamond award for his conservation practices, charter member of the Manitowoc Gun Club, lifetime member of the Manitowoc Expo, Otto Oas VFW Post #659 of Manitowoc, National Rifle Association, Shoto Conservation Club, Conservation Education Inc., and current vice-president of Manitowoc Mortgage Holding. Survivors include his wife, his five children, their spouses and their children, step-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister: Marilyn Drumm; two brothers: Richard Drumm and William Drumm; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Louis and Hildegard Kraemer. Unfortunately the operation did not have the hoped for result and the patient, who suffered from sugar diabetes, died on Saturday. Mr. Drumm, who was 60, had lived a long period in Manitowoc County where he operated a farm near Brown’s Corners. He was a veteran of the Civil War andleaves a widow and 2 children. MARGARET E. DRUMM cemetery #32 Margaret E. Drumm, age 79, of Valders, died early Thursday morning, June 15, 2006, at her daughter’s residence in rural Valders. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church. Revs. Robert Kujawski and Stephen Melso will officiate with entombment to follow at the Knollwood Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc. The former Margaret Wopp was born June 16, 1926, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late William and Charlotte Puchalski Wopp. In 1945 Margaret worked for the federal government in Washington, D.C., at the Pentagon and later returned home to help her family in the family bakery, Bill’s Home Bakery in Valders. On Jan. 15, 1949, she was married to William E. Drumm at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. The couple farmed in the town of Manitowoc Rapids until their retirement in 1990. Bill preceded Margaret in death on Aug. 10, 2000. Margaret was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, and Ant Hill Motorcycle Club, and the Midwest Old Thrashers. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, going to old tractor and gas engine shows, she loved to bake for everybody and was an avid reader. Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, one daughter and son-in-law, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three step-great- grandchildren,one brother and sister-in-law, two sisters, one sister-in-law, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by one brother: John Paul Wopp; and three brothers-in-law: Robert Price; Richard Drumm; and Gerald Drumm. MARIA DRUMM cemetery #44 Death called an aged resident of Manitowoc County this morning when the last summons was received by Mrs. Maria Drumm. Deceased resided on the Middle Road, about three miles southwest of the city and had been troubled with the diseases consequent to old age for some time. Saturday she had a bad fall and that was the immediate cause of her demise. The lady was born in Middlestadt, Wurtemburg, on September 22, 1822 and at the age of twenty- four came with her husband to America locating soon after in Manitowoc. Four sons and three daughters were born to the couple all of whom survive. Interment will occur Thursday afternoon. FRANK DRYLL Frank P. Drill, 78, of 1516 Madison St., Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thaddeus Koszarek will officite and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mr. Drill was born Jan. 20, 1897, at Manitowoc, son of the late Michael and Michalena Dialik Drill. He attended Manitowoc shools and was employed at Allis Chalmeers Mfg. Co., Milwaukee until retiring to Manitowoc in 1963. Survivors include a brother, Aloyis, of Manitowoc and two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Jennie) Wilfer and Estelle Drill, of Manitowoc. Two brothers preceded him in death. There will be no visitation.
