JOHN ANDRASTEK (d. 1918) John Andrazeyk, 969 South 25th street, died at his home Thursday, after an illness of several weeks. He was a native of Poland, born there 51 years ago. PHILLIP S. ANDRASTEK, DEACON cemetery #72 Deacon Phil S. Andrastek, age 69, of 2417 Dewey St., Manitowoc, died on Tuesday evening, July 1, 2008, at his residence. He was born on Jan. 11, 1939, in Manitowoc, son of the late Stanley and Viola (Krejcie) Andrastek. Phil was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, class of 1957. After graduation, he entered the U.S Army National Guard until 1965. On Oct. 11, 1958, he married the former Lucy Schultz at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He was a 15 year veteran of the Manitowoc Police Department as a motorcycle officer, logging over 100,000 miles with the department. Phil had a short career as the owner of Polish Phil's. He was employed as a security guard at the Manitowoc Company for many years. During his retirement, Phil was a member of the maintenance staff at Silver Lake College, and noon supervisor at L.B. Clarke School, Two Rivers. Phil was ordained a deacon with the Green Bay Diocese in the fall of 1986, being assigned to St. Mary Catholic Church in conjunction with Manitowoc Jail Ministry. He also ministered to numerous local nursing homes, as well as St. Francis of Assisi Parish where he was a member. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) He was preceded in death by a son-in-law: William J. Peters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Bishop Robert Morneau and the Revs. Dan Felton and Tom Wojciechowski, O.F.M. Assisting on the altar will be Deacon Robert Drobka and Deacon William Klein. Burial will be at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Manitowoc. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by VFW Otto Oas Post 659. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2008. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 8 p.m., led by the Rev. Dan Felton. Friends may also call on Tuesday morning at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. JACOB ANDRE cemetery #56 Jacob Andre, 68, died at his home at Rhine Center Wednesday evening. Born in Ohio, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Balzer Andre, on June 16, 1881, he made his home in and around Rhine Center since 1906, where he was employed on various farms. He had never married. Survivors are four nephews and a niece. A sister, several brothers and his parents preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Meiselwitz Funeral home at Kiel and burial will be made in the Bethel church cemetery in the town of Meeme. Sheboygan Press, February 3, 1949
EDWARD ANDRES cemetery #39 16 Year Old Town of Kossuth Boy Dies Edward Andres, aged 16, died this morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Andres on a farm in the town of Kossuth. Besides the parents, one brother, John and three sisters, Martha, Mildred and Elizabeth also survive. The deceased was the victim of the flu. JOSEPH ANDRES cemetery #39 Joseph Andres, 87, of Whitelaw, died Tuesday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville. The Rev. John Haen will officiate with burial in St. Augustine Cemetery, Rief Mills. Mr. Andres was born Dec. 12, 1887, in the Town of Franklin, son of the late Jake and Elizabeth Nicoli Andres. He married Mary Vraney Dec. 1, 1909, at Francis Creek. They farmed in the Towns of Franklin and Kossuth, retiring in 1960 when they moved to Whitelaw. Mrs. Andres preceded him in death March 20, 1972. Survivors include a son, John, of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Martha) Cisler, of Branch. Mrs. Norman (Mildred) Kiel, and Mrs. Norman (Elizabeth) Bergene, of Rt. 1, Cato, 16 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. The couple farmed until retirement in 1940, moving to Whitelaw. The couple celebratd its 62nd wedding anniversary in 1971. CAROL M. ANDREW cemetery #43 Carol Marie (nee Brilliant) Andrew, age 78, of Winter Haven, beloved wife of Bill Andrew, went to her heavenly reward with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Monday, June 9, 2008, at her Winter Haven home, ending her 14-year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Carol was brought into this world by her parents, Arthur and Lucy Brilliant, on Nov. 14, 1929, in Manitowoc, where she spent most of her young life. A 1948 graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, she married William (Bill) F. Andrew on Aug. 22, 1951, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Their almost 57 years of happily married life started with a chance meeting at a dance in Manitowoc; you might call it love at first sight. Moving to Florida in November 1960, Carol became a homemaker for her husband and two young sons. She was active in the Blessed Sacrament Circle at St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years. When Bill started his consulting practice, Carol became his secretary/bookkeeper and traveled with him when she could in later years. After the initial diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, Bill became Carol's 24/7 family caregiver during this 14-year journey, their motto became loving is giving…giving is loving. Visitation will be at Crisp-Coon Funeral Home, Winter Haven, on Friday, June 13, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a Catholic vigil service at 7 p.m. with Father Anthony Bluett officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Winter Haven, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008, with Father Peter Puntal officiating. At a later date, a Catholic memorial service will take place in Manitowoc, with internment at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Darwin D. Andrews, Sr.Darwin D. Andrews Sr., age 72, of Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning, July 21, 1998, at Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 1998, at Emanuel United Methodist Church, Two Rivers. Pastor Roberta Thomson will officiate at the service, and entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Military Rites will be accorded by the Two Rivers V.F.W. and American Legion Posts. Darwin was born August 21, 1925, in Elco, Wis., son of the late Leigh and Beatrice Beninghaus Andrews Sr. He attended Washington High School, and then joined the United States Navy in 1943. Darwin served during World War II on PT boats in the South Pacific. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart,and was honorably discharged in 1946. On February 15, 1947, he married the former Ethel Clayton in Two Rivers. Darwin was employed as a tool and die maker at Paragon Electric Company for 29 years, retiring in 1987. He was a charter member of Sports Fishing, Incorporated, served as secretary of the Old Third Ward Gun Club, and was also a member of the Two Rivers V.F.W. Post #1248. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Andrews; three sons and two daughters- in-law; two daughters and sons-in-law; 10 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; five sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Andrews, died Sunday afternoon at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, the Rev. Gervase J. Zanotti of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mrs. Andrews, the former Mabel Downey, was born at Danville, Ill., daughter of the late Ida Lorette and James Davis Downey. In 1910, she was married to Dr. Andrews in the Downey home at Indianola, Ill. The Andrews made Wisconsin their home state, moving to Manitowoc from Beloit in 1919. Dr. Andrews died in July of 1952. Mrs. Andrews was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Ladies Society of the church, the Manitowoc County Medical Auxiliary, the Tallahassee, Fla. chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Nightingale Society and the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. For many years she was an active member of the Lakeside Country Club. Survivors include a son, Dr. Edson J. Andrews of Tallahassee, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Oscar S. ALBERT ANHALT cemetery #83 Anhalt Funeral Will Be Held This Morning Funeral services for Albert Anhalt, 70, will be held from SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church this morning, Thursday, at 9:30 o'clock. The Rev. F.X. Kheil will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. Mr. Anhalt died Monday at St. Nicholas Hospital. He was born September 24, 1884 in Eaton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Anhalt. October 15, 1907 he married Miss Catherine Nicolay of New Holstein. They located on a farm near New Holstein. In 1942 they moved to Kiel. His wife died in 1947. In 1950 he married Mrs. Verna Bechle of Kiel. He was a member of the Holy Name society. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Gilbert of New Holstein, and Lando of Appleton; two brothers, John of Chilton and Clemens of Kiel. ALMA ANHALT cemetery #83 Mrs. Clemens Anhalt, aged 57, died early last Thursday afternoon at her home, following a lingering illness. The deceased, nee Alma Gast, was born Nov. 27, 1889 in Germany, the daughter of Carl and Henrietta Gast, and came to this country with her parents 7 years later. The family resided in Kiel for a short time, and then located on a farm in the town of Eaton. Oct. 22, 1912, she was united in marriage with Clemens Anhalt at the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church here. Before moving to Kiel in 1940, the Anhalt family resided on the Anhalt homestead farm in the town of Eaton for many years. Survivors include her husband; 3 daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Florena) Schnell of Sheboygan, Mrs. Clarence (Hildegarde) Lemke of Sherwood, and Mrs. Frank (Loretta) Johst, residing north of Kiel; 3 sons, Frederick and Jerome of Sheboygan, and Alfred at home; 9 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Otto Gast of Milwaukee and Paul Gast of Brillion and a sister, Mrs. C.H. Schroeder of this city. Funeral services were conducted at the Meiselwitz Funeral home at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning and at 10 o'clock services were held at the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church, with the Rev. F.X. Kheil officiating. Interment was made in the parish cemetery. Kiel. -(Special)- Mrs. Frank Anhalt, 72, died at 12:30 a.m. today at her home, Eighth and Milwaukee streets, after a six-week illness. The former Anna Altenberger, she was born near Ada on March 26, 1869. On Jan. 10, 1899, she married Frank Anhalt of Millhome at Ss. Peter and Paul church, the late Rev. M.J. Schmitz officiating. They resided in Kiel for four years and then went to a farm near Kiel where they lived for 37 years. Two years ago they sold their farm to their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bolz, and since have lived in Kiel. Survivors are the husband, two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Bolz and Mrs. John Stauber of St. Nazianz; eight grandchildren; and one brother, Fred Altenberger, Millhome. He had been ill for two months, and hardening of the arteries was the immediate cause of his demise. Mr. Anhalt was born in Brandenburg, Germany, on Oct. 13, 1847, coming to America, Sheboygan county, in 1852. he was married in 1870 to Miss Susanna Hartmann, Who survives him, and the following children: Mrs. Jos. Steinbruecker of Sheboygan, Mrs. Helen Hensen of Fond du lac, Peter of Plymouth, John of Chilton,William of Shoboygan, Albert of Marytown and Clemens on the homestead in the town of Eaton. There are also two sisters, Mrs.Magdelina Guenter of Antigo and Sister Aemiliana at St. Josephs Convent at Milwaukee. Mr. Anhalt also leaves 44 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Rev. Susanna Hartmann (his wife) was born Sept. 20, 1849 in Germany. She speaks only German. She is a sister to John Hartmann and Herman Hartmann. Married Feb. 22, 1870 in St. Nazianz by Rev. Oschwald. In 1906 there were two children still living at home. Those two are: Albert born Sept. 24, 1884 Clemens born Aug. 15, 1889 Besides the 2 above there are 6 married children. They are 1 son in St. Anna, 1 son in Sheboygan, 1 son in Plymouth, 1 son John Anhalt in Kiel, 1 daughter in Town of Rhine plus the wife of Peter Hensen (who is member of St. Peter and Paul). BARBARA ANHALT cemetery #21 From 1928 newspaper clipping Funeral services for the late Mrs. Barbara Anhalt were held on Friday at St. Gregory's church, Rev. F. Holzknecht officiating. Six Riesterer boys acted as pall bearers. Mrs. Anhalt was born in Germany on December 23, eighty years ago, and came to this country with her parents at the age of four years. After her marriage to John Anhalt, they made their home on a farm near Millhome. Mr. Anhalt died in 1911. St. Nazianz has been the home of the deceased for the last eleven years. She has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. John Riesterer one mile west of the village, for the past two years, since she has been in poor health. Death came last Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. The suvivors are eight daughters, Mrs. John Guese of Elkhart Lake, Mrs. John Bermke of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Fred Altenberger of Sheboygan, Mrs. Charles Mahloch of Manitowoc, Mrs. Isadore Meyer, Mrs. John Riesterer, Mrs. Ed. Schad, and Mrs. Alex Gerhard of this village; four sons, John Anhalt of Plymout, Frank of Millhome, and Peter and Joseph of here; fifty-eight grandchildren; and thirty-two great grandchildren. CATHERINE ANHALT cemetery #83 Mrs. Anhalt of Kiel Summoned; Rites Tuesday. Kiel. - Mrs. Albert Anhalt, 60, of 1004 N. Third street, Kiel, died suddenly this morning at her home. She had been ailing for some time. Nee Katie Nicolay, she was born Feb. 3, 1887, in the town of New Holstein, the daughter of John and Margaret Nicolay. She was married to Albert Anhalt on Oct. 15, 1907, and they resided in Kiel for a time and then on a farm near Marytown for 30 years. For the past five years they resided at the present home. Survivors are her husband; two sons, Gilbert of Marytown and Lando of Appleton, 11 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. George Schwartz of Chilton; two brothers, John and Theodore of New Holstein. One son and one daughter preceded her in death. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Peter and St. Paul church, and members of that society will pray the rosary at the church at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Meiselwitz Funeral home and at 10 o'clock at the St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic church with Father F.X. Kheil officiating. CLEMENS F. ANHALT cemetery #83 Clemens F. Anhalt, 88, a former rural Kiel resident, died July 20 at Rocky Knoll where he resided the past three months. Born August 15, 1889, in the Town of Eaton, a son of August and Susanna Hartmann Anhalt, he attended district school in the Town of Eaton. He married the former Alma Gast on October 22, 1912, in Kiel. Mr. Anhalt and his wife farmed in the Town of Eaton until 1940, when they moved to Kiel. He was employed at the Polar Ware Company in Sheboygan until his retirement in 1958. Mrs. Anhalt died in 1947. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, and the Holy Name Society of the parish. Survivors include two daughters, three sons, 20 grandchildren and 30 great -grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, following family rites at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. The Reverend Francis Kerscher, pastor, was celebrant of the Mass. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
DARLENE ANHALT cemetery #82 Funeral services for Mrs. Martin LeFeber, 23, formerly of the Town of Schleswig who died Monday evening in a Tacoma, Wash., hospital after surgery, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel. The Rev. Vernon E. Jaberg, pastor of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Kiel, will officiate and burial will be in Kiel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday. Mrs. LeFeber had been living in Tacoma since last November after her husband was called to duty with the 32nd Red Arrow Division now training at Fort Lewis, Wash. Previously they had lived at R. 1, Malone. The former Darlene Anhalt was born June 29, 1938, in the Town of Schleswig, a daughter of Elmer E. and Norma Mayer Anhalt, attended Woodland Park School in the town, and Kiel High School, graduating in 1956. After graduation, she went to work at Leverenz Shoe Co., at New Holstein. On Feb. 4, 1961, she was married to Martin LeFeber of rural Malone at St. John’s Catholic Church at Johnsburg. Mrs. LeFeber was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Kiel, was a former member of the choir and a Sunday school teacher. A church memorial fund is being established in her name. ELMER E. ANHALT Cemetery #82 Sheboygan Press December 29, 1982 (edited) Elmer E. Anhalt, 77 years, of 11319 Highway 32, Kiel, died at his home this morning. He was born Aug. 14, 1905, in the Town of New Holstein, a son of Charles and Anna (Lauers) Anhalt. He attended schools in New Holstein and St. Anna. On March 24, 1928, he and Norma Mayer were married in Plymouth, and made their home in the Town of Schleswig (Manitowoc Co.). Mr. Anhalt was employed by Calumet County as a grader operator and retired in 1970. He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel, and served on the church consistory for many years. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and one sister. He was preceded in death by a daughter, a granddaughter, two brothers and a sister. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at te Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, with the Rev. John Baumann, pastor of St. Peter Church, officiating. Burial will be in Kiel cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Anhalt's name.
FRANK ANHALT cemetery #83 Frank Anhalt of Kiel Summoned after an Illness. Kiel. - Frank Anhalt, 70, died at St. Nicholas hospital, Sheboygan, early Sunday morning after a 10-day illness. The son of the late John and Barbara (Knier) Anhalt, he was born Oct. 10, 1871, near Millhome, and grew to manhood there. On Jan. 10, 1899, he was married to Anna Altenberger of Ada in the St. Peter and Paul church at Kiel, by the Rev. Father Michael Schmitz. He and his wife lived in Kiel for four years before moving to a farm east of the city. After living there for 37 years, in 1939 they sold the farm to their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bolz, moving back to Kiel. His wife died Jan. 5 of this year. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Eleanor) Bolz, near Kiel, and Mrs. John (Mary) Stauber of St. Nazianz; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Peter and Joseph Anhalt of St. Nazianz and Donald Anhalt of Plymouth; seven sisters, Mrs. Alex Gerhard, Mrs. Edward Schad and Mrs. Isadore Meyer, all of St. Nazianz; Mrs. John Gusse of Crystal Lake, Mrs. John Behrmke of Plymouth, Mrs. Charles Mahloch of Brillion, an Mrs. Fred Altenberger of Sheboygan. He had been in good health until Thursday of last week, when he collapsed near his home. Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. Gregory's Catholic church, St. Nazianz with the Rev. Terrence Schmidt officiating. Mr. Anhalt was born September 8, 1883 at Millhome, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Borbara(sic) Knier Anhalt. Norma (Mayer) Anhalt, was born March 26, 1905, in the Town of Rhine, daughter of Adolph and Anna (Pfingsten) Mayer. She attended school in the Town of Rhine. She was married to Elmer F. Anhalt, March 24, 1928, in Plymouth. He preceded her in death Dec. 29, 1982. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel, and it's women's guild. She is survived by a daughter, three grandchildren, five step grandchildren, three great grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren. PETER ANHALT cemetery #21 Peter Anhalt, aged 67, residing on Valders R. 1, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Friday at the Holy Family hospital in Manitowoc, after suffering injuries in a fall from his tractor two days before. Mr. Anhalt was born on January 4, 1878, near Millhome. November 5, 1907, he was united in marriage with Miss Margaret Schad of the town of Schleswig. The couple settled on a farm one mile northeast of St. Nazianz after their marriage, and made their home on that farm since. Survivors are his wife and four daughters; Mrs. Louis Heinzen of St. Nazianz; Anita of Los Angeles, Cal.; Hilaria of Manitowoc, and Mariann at home. Also surviving him are two brothers, John of Plymouth and Joseph of St. Nazianz, and also the following sisters; Mrs. John Gusse, Glenbeulah; Mrs. Fred Altenberger and Mrs. Carl Mahloch, Sheboygan; Mrs. John Bermke, Plymouth; Mrs. Isadore Meyer, Mrs. Edward Schad and Mrs. Alex Gerhardt of St. Nazianz. CHARLES ANTHOLT cemetery #37 Charles Antholt, 84, of route 5, Manitowoc, retired Kossuth farmer, died this morning at the home of his son, Erwin, in Rockwood. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pfeffer funeral home, the Rev. J.C. Schweitzer officiating. Burial will be in the Baptist cemetery in Kossuth. He was born in the county in 1862 and in 1884 married Miss Minnie Schwendener. They located on the Kossuth farm. Mr. Antholt retired 24 years ago and his wife died in 1938. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. William Meusel and Mrs. Frank Strentenberger both of Milwaukee; three sons, Arthur of Cedarburg and George and Erwin of Rockwood; 14 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. AUGUST ANTHOLZ cemetery #35 August Antholz, 82, of the Village of Mishicot, died Saturday evening at Two Rivers Community Hospital, Two Rivers. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mishicot. The Rev. Herbert Kesting will officiate with burial in Kossuth Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Antholz was born Sept. 17, 1893, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Henry and Amelia Schultz Antholz. He married Sidonia Mohr Sept. 12, 1928, at St. Peter Church. He was owner and operator of cheese factories at Maple Grove, Francis Creek and Mishicot and was later employed as bus driver and custodian in Mishicot Community School System. He was a former fire chief for the Village of Mishicot for many years. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Gene, of Franklin and Glenn, of Grafton; a daughter, Mrs. John E. (Adelaide) Ording, of Manitowoc, 12 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Two brothers preceded him in death. HEINRICH ANTHOLZ cemetery #35 PIONEER RESIDENT CALLED ANTHOLZ Death removed a pioneer resident of Manitowoc county when Henry Antholz was called to his final rest at 7 o’clock Thursday evening, the demise occurring at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Christian Herman at Branch. Deceased had been ill for some time and suffered from a complication of diseases. For forty years Mr. Antholz was a leading agriculturist of the town of Kossuth, retiring but a few years ago to enjoy the fruits of an industrious and successful life that had brought him a comfortable competency. He was 71 years of age and is survived by four children, one son and three daughters. The funeral will be held Sunday at 1 o’clock from the home, interment being held at the Lutheran cemetery in Kossuth. WILLIAM J. "BILL" ANTONOPAULOS cemetery #14 William J. "Bill" Antonopaulos, 82, of Hartford, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011, at the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. He was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Milwaukee, to Theodore and Rose (nee Bushman) Antonopaulos. Bill was united in marriage to Evelyn Klessig (nee Voskuil) on Feb. 4, 1978, at the First United Methodist Church in Hartford. Bill graduated in 1947 from Boys Technical High School in Milwaukee. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by PPG Industries, Oak Creek, in the Quality Control Department for 35 years. Bill was an active volunteer after retirement. He was a volunteer driver for the Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. He also volunteered at the Hartford Heritage Auto Museum for 20 years. Bill enjoyed his family, camping, hiking and woodworking. He was known for his carved walking canes and letter openers. (Survivors omitted for privacy) He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Theodore (Jane) Antonopaulos; and two brothers-in-law, Dave and Don. Memorial funeral services for Bill will be held Saturday, March 26, at 2 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford, with the Rev. Brian Kundinger officiating. Mr. Antonsen was born Sept. 7, 1885, at Ellison Bay, Wis., son of the late Anton and Hanna Olson Antonsen. He was employed as a marine diver for the McMullen and Pitz Co., of Manitowoc. He also was employed as a commercial fisherman in Sturgeon Bay until he became ill.
