
WALTER JAEGER While fishing on Cedar Lake last Wednesday evening with Mrs. Jaeger, Walter H. Jaeger, Sr. suffered a heart attack. The Kiel ambulance was summoned and Mr. Jaeger was removed to the St. Nicholas hospital in Sheboygan, where he passed away on Friday. He had been in ill health for a short time. Funeral services took place Monday afternoon at two o’clock at St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church, with Rev. E. L. Worthman officiating. Burial was made in the Kiel cemetery, and pallbearers were Hugo Olm, John Happel, Edward Henschel, Frank Brocker, Arno Vogel and Fred Mauer. Mr. Jaeger was born in the town of Wausau on April 23, 1892, and he spent his youth there. May 1, 1910, he was married to Miss Olga Ahrens of Wausau, in Richmond Va. Twenty-five years ago they moved to Kiel, where Mr. Jaeger entered the employe of the Kiel Wooden Ware Co., with which concern he still was employed as a saw filer at the time of death. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Franklin of Rockford, Ill., and Walter, Jr. of Wonewoc; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Gertrude) Knutson of Capron, Ill., Mrs. Ralph (Gladys) Lau, and Mrs. Henry (Florence) Lemke of this city; two brothers, Richard and Frank of Wausau, and 11 grandchildren. Three sisters preceded him in death. She passed away that afternoon at the Rocky Knoll sanitarium, where she had been confined for a short time. The deceased was born in the city on June 19, 1923. She was baptized and confirmed by the Rev. E. L. Worthman. She is a graduate of Kiel high school, class of 1941. ANNA JASCHOB (d. 1947) Mrs. Carl Jaschob, Sr., aged 63, died early Monday morning at the St. Nicholas hospital in Sheboygan after a two-year illness. The deceased was born Aug. 25, 1883, at Stolp, Pommern, Germany, the daughter of August and Bertha Pasch-Jaschob. A year after her birth the family moved to this city, immediately settling in Kiel. On Aug. 13, 1904, she was united in marriage with Carl Jaschob by the late Rev. John Roeck. She was a member of the Frauenverein and the Missionary Society of the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church. Survivors include her husband; six sons, Harvey, Hubert, Calvin, Clarence, Harold and Carl, Jr. and a daughter, Mrs. George (Gertrude) Forbes, all of this city; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. George Quehl of Milwaukee, and one brother, Arthur of Syracuse, N. Y. Two sons, Roland and Alfred, and a daughter, Alice, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with the Rev. E. L. Worthman officiating. ARTHUR JASCHOB Arthur Jaschob, 74, former Kiel resident, died Sunday evening at a Syracuse, N.Y. hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, the Rev. Vernon E. Jaberg, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel Cemetery. Jaschob was born in Kiel Aug. 18, 1889, son of the late August and Bertha Jaschob. AUGUST HERMAN JASCHOB Aug. Jaschob Aged 74, Dies at Home Here End Comes After Illness of Two Years; Funeral is Saturday A resident of Kiel for 46 years, August Herman Jaschob, aged 74, passed away at his home here shortly before six o'clock Wednesday evening of last week. He had been ailing for the past two years. Mr. Jaschob was born in Pomerania, Germany, on April 16, 1857. He grew to manhood in Germany, and while still there he was united in marriage to Miss Bertha Pasch, on December 1, 1882. Three years later, in 1885, the couple left for America, coming directly to Kiel. On his arrival here he took employment with the Kiel Wooden Ware Company, remaining there for 18 years, after which he worked as the section crew for four years. he then entered the employ of the Kiel Furniture Company, working there until his recent illness caused him to give up. During his life here Mr. Jaschob always took an active part in civic affairs. He was one of the founders of the St. Peter Reformed, serving as elder for 18 years, and was a trustee of the cemetery board. He was also a charter member of the Kiel Fire Department, which organi- zation attended the funeral in a body and escorted the corpse to his last resting place, and was a member of the Kiel Krieger Verein, in which organization he served as secretary. He is servived by one brother, Herman, and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Kanske of this city, and one sister Mrs. Johanna Paschelke of Pomerania, Germany. Three children survive: Mrs. Carl (Anna) Jaschob of here, Mrs. George (Mary) Quehl of Milwaukee, and Arthur of Appleton. There are a (word gone) grandchildren.
BERTHA W. JASCHOB After a lingering illness, Mrs. August H. Jaschob passed away at her home at 716 Third street at 4 a.m. on Tuesday. She had reached the age of 74 years. She was born March 6, 1958, in Pomerania, Germany, her name before marriage being Bertha Wilhelmina Pasch. On December 1, 1882, she was married to Mr. Jaschob. The couple left Germany in 1885, coming directly to Kiel, where they lived for the remainder of their lives. Mr. Jaschob preceded her in death December 30 of last year. To the couple three children were born; Mrs. George (Mary) Quehl, Milwaukee; Mrs. Carl (Anna) Jaschob, Kiel, and Arthur of Appleton. Two brothers also survive; Frank Pasch of Milwaukee and August Pasch of Ottowa, Ontario, Canada. CARL H. JASCHOB SR. (d. 1955) Carl H. Jaschob Sr. Dies Following Heart Attack Carl H. Jaschob Sr., 76, retired furniture plant worker, died at his home early Monday morning, of a heart attack. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. E. L. Worthman officiating and burial was in the Kiel cemetery. Jaschob was born in Pommerania, Germany, February 4, 1879, the son of the late Carl and Wilhelmina Jaschob. He came to America with his parents in 1888, directly to Kiel. August 14, 1904, he married Anna Jaschob. She passed away in 1947. For 13 years he was employed by the Kiel Wooden Ware company and for 38 years by the Laun Furniture company. He retired eight years ago. Surviving are six sons, Harvey, Hubert, Calvin, Clarence and Carl jr. of Kiel, and Harold of New Holstein; a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Forbes of Kiel; three brothers, Frank and Otto of Kiel, and Herman of Marshfield, and 15 grandchildren. CARL JASCHOB, SR. (d. 1928) The death of Carl Jaschob, 75, occurred at his home here Thursday evening, after he had been in poor health for some time. The deceased was born in Wusaken, Pommerania, Germany, October 3, 1852. In 1875 he was united in marriage to Miss Wilhelmina Grummisch, setting with his bride in Wittbeck, Germany. Here they made their home until in March, 1888, when they left for the United States. Upon their arrival here Mr. Jaschob was employed by the Kiel Woodenware Co., remaining until 1910, when he purchased a farm near Rockville. This farm he conducted until 1915, when he moved to Kiel and retired from active life. The couple had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January, 1925. Nine children were born to them, two of whom died in infancy. Surviving children are Carl, Frank, and Otto, of Kiel, Paul of Millhome, and Herman of Suring, and Mrs. Robert Casper and Mrs. Werner Kanske of Kiel. Two sisters survive him, Mrs. Johanna Paschke of Stolp, Germany, and Mrs. Pauline Kanske of Kiel. Two surviving brothers are August and Herman of Kiel. Mr. Jaschob was a devoted member of the St. Peter Reformed church. Funeral services were held from the home Monday at 1:30, and from the St. Peters Refomed church at two o'clock, with interment in the Kiel cemetery. The Rev. CARL N. JASCHOB (d. 1976) Carl N. Jaschob, Jr., 58, a former Kiel resident, died at University Hospital in Madison Tuesday, following an apparent heart attack. He was born June 8, 1918, in Kiel, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jaschob Sr. He attended Kiel schools, graduating from high school in 1936. Mr. Jaschob worked in the packing department at the A. A. Laun Furniture Company in Kiel for 35 years. He married Marion Fromm. He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel, and the Kiel Fish and Game Club. Surviving are a daughter (private); three sons (private); seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Frederick Brockert of Kiel, and four brothers, Hubert of Fort Myer, Florida, Calvin and Clarence of Kiel and Harold, New Holstein. EDGAR A. JASCHOB Edgar Jaschob Passes Away After Illness Was Graduate of Local School; Services Held On Monday Following an illness of two years’ duration, Edgar H. A. Jaschob, 20, passed away on Friday at 1 p. m. The deceased; practically a lifelong resident of this city, was well-known and well—liked here. He was born Dec. 24, 1905, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jaschob. His mother, nee Mary Pasch, preceded him in death Oct. 5, 1916. He was both baptized and confirmed by the Rev. William Rech in the St. Peter Reformed church here. He attended the Kiel public school and the St. Peter Reformed Sunday school and was also a staunch and faithful member of the church. Following his public school education, he worked for several years for the Kiel Furniture Co. here, and one year at the Sheboygan Fruit Box Co. factory, which work he was forced to give up because of his ill health. Seven years ago he had enjoyed a six month vacation in California. Surviving him are his father; three brothers - Edwin of near Millhome, William of Kiel, and Alvin of Rio Vista, Calif., who visited three weeks this winter, returning Feb. 16; and four sisters - Mrs. Emil ( Emma ) Fischer of Sheboygan, Mrs. Calvin (Lorena) Arpke of Franklin, Mrs. Martin (Anita) Mahloch of near Kiel, and Mrs. Arvin (Vera) Semph of near Ada. The last sad rites were held here Monday afternoon, with services at 1:30 at the home of his father at 1032 North Seventh street, and at 2 o’clock at the St. Peter Reformed church, the Rev. E. L. Worthman officiating. Interment was in the Kiel cemetery. The local Redmen lodge, of which he was a member, attended the services in a body. Pallbearers were: Roy Duerwaechter, Leonard Kraft, Eldred Voland, Clarence Weiskopf, Alfred Greve and Harvey Boeselager. The Senior Choir rendered three songs - "Im Herrn Enschlumere," "Heimmatland," and "Endlicht Heim." March 3, 1932
FRANK F. JASCHOB Funeral services were held Wednesday for Frank F. Jaschob, 80, of 312 St. Paul Street, at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ with the Rev. John Baumann officiating. Burial was in the Kiel cemetery. Born June 6, 1887, in Germany he was a son of the late Carl and Wilhelmina Jaschob. He came to the United States with his parents as a young man, locating on a farm near Rockville. The family later moved to Kiel. He married Lena Stassburger of the Town of Schleswig at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Kiel, October 8, 1913. The couple lived in Kiel since their marriage. Mrs. Jaschob died in May, 1955. Mr. Jaschob was employed at the A. A. Laun Furniture Company, where he was a machinist and foreman for 50 years before retiring in 1952. He was a member of St. Peter’s church, the Men’s Brotherhood of the church and a former member of the church consistory. HARVEY JASCHOB Harvey Jaschob, 63, of 218 Fremont St. Kiel, died unexpectedly at his home Monday afternoon, the victim of an apparent heart attack. PAUL H. JASCHOB Paul H. Jaschob, 72, of 2754 Calumet Dr., a retired Millhome flour mill operator, died late Monday night at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness. Born Nov. 23, 1881, at Witbeck, Germany, he came to the United States with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jaschob, in 1887, settling at Kiel, Wis. Mr. Jaschob worked at the Kiel Flour Mills until 1918 and at Appleton for two years before joining in partnership with Arwin Eickhoff in the operation of a flour mill at Millhome in 1920. Since his retirement in 1940, he had made his home in Sheboygan. On Sept. 24, 1907, he was married to Anna DeBuhr at New Holstein. Active in music circles in the Kiel area for many years, Mr. Jaschob was a former director of the Kiel Mannerchor and formerly directed the choirs of the Kiel Reformed Church and the Bethel Reformed Church at Ada. Survivors are his wife; a son, Gordon, Sheboygan; one daughter, Mrs. Milton Schneider, town of Meeme; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Kanske, Sheboygan, and four brothers, Carl, Frank and Otto, of Kiel, and Herman, of Marshfield, Wis. A son, Ermin, died June 4, 1911. Two sisters and a brother also preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Reformed Church with the Rev. WILHELMINA JASCHOB Mrs. Wilhelmina Jaschob, aged 87, nee Grommisch, passed away at the home of her son, Otto, 319 Paine street in this city Saturday morning at 9:30 o’clock, following an illness of six weeks. The deceased was born April 20, 1853 in Kleingarte, Grosgarte, Pommerania, Germany. She was married there to Carl Jaschob on January 9, 1874, and in the spring of 1888 in April the Jaschob family came directly to Kiel where they have always resided. Mr. Jaschob passed away on February 16, 1928. Nine children were born to them of whom a son Alfred and a daughter Minnie have preceded their parents in death many years ago. Since the death of her husband she has always made her home with her son Otto. Survivors are seven children as follows: Mrs. Robert (Augusta) Casper of this city, Mrs. Werner (Mary) Kanske of Sheboygan, Carl, Frank, and Otto of Kiel, Paul of Sheboygan, and Herman of Suring. Burial was in the Kiel cemetery. Mr. Jaschob died Saturday at the Veteran’s Hospital at Wood. He was born September 2, 1892 in Kiel, a son of the late Herman and Mary Jaschob. He attended Kiel public school. On February 17, 1923 he was married to Hilda Popp of the Town of New Holstein and the couple made their home in Kiel. He was a painter and also was employed at the Kiel wooden Ware company and as a high school custodian. A World War I veteran, Mr. Jaschob served with the 332nd Field Artillery, Black Hawk Division. He was a life-long member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ; Manitowoc Tribe No. 49 of the Improved Order of Redmen; and 24 Hour Club of the lodge; and Wolf-Olson Post 1230, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Sheboygan. Surviving are his wife; two sisters; Mrs. Lorena Arpke and Mrs. Anita Mahloch, both of Howards Grove-Millersville; and two brothers, Edward, Route 2, Kiel and Alvin, Sheboygan. DANIEL G. JINDRA Daniel G. Jindra, age 78, of 703 Sixth St., Kiel, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton. He was born, April 25, 1928, in Two Rivers, son of the late, Alvin and Leona Meineke Jindra. Dan graduated from Mishicot High School in 1946 and the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture. While a student at UW-Madison, Dan enlisted in the ROTC program and was commissioned a 2nd Lt. upon graduation. On Aug. 15, 1953, he married at the Lutheran Calvary Chapel in Madison. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country proudly in the Korean War. Dan worked for Lake to Lake/Land O'Lakes in Kiel for 34 years as a membership director. After retirement, he worked part-time for the Wisconsin Agriculture Statistics Department. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel, where he served as a former member of the church council, and was a member of the church choir for many years. He was also a member of the Monday Night Golf League and the Kiel Fish & Game. He was a former alderman for the city of Kiel, and helped organize the Kiel picnic parade for several years. Dan enjoyed golfing, playing cribbage, poker and sheepshead with his friends, hunting, fishing, and family camping. Survivors include his wife of 53 years; four children; and 10 grandchildren. He is further survived by four great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; sister-in-law; sisters and brothers-in-law; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by one sister: Ethel Breitwisch; one brother: Roy Jindra; and one brother-in-law: Edwin Breitwisch. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 387 Cemetery Road, Kiel, with the Rev. David Laabs officiating. ADOLF G. JOCHMANN Adolph(sic) G. Jochmann, aged 68, life-long resident of the town of Schleswig, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Sheboygan Memorial hospital, following a short illness. The deceased was born in the town of Schleswig on April 18, 1882, the son of the late Traugott and Wilhelmina Meyer. On August 2, 1913, he was married to Miss Clara Duerrwaechter of near Kiel, and the couple moved to the present farm two miles north of this city, immediately following their marriage. Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Evelyn, and a son, LeRoy, at home; a brother, Henry Jochmann of this city; two sisters, Mrs. John Peters of Town Rhine, and Mrs. Julius Spitzer of Kenosha. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death. Mr. Jochmann was a member of the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church, the Men's Brotherhood, and served as an elder and deacon in the church consistory. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 2 o'clock at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church with the Rev. E. L. ANNA JOCHMANN Relatives here were notified on Tuesday evening of the death of Anna Jochmann, aged 62, which occurred in the evening of that day at 7:30 at Oshkosh, where the deceased had been the past six weeks. The body was immediately brought to Kiel by the C. J. Meiselwitz Co., and was taken to the John Peters home in the town of Rhine, where she had made her home in recent years. The deceased, the daughter of the late Traugott and Wilhelmina Jochmann, was born Jan. 10, 1879, in the town of Rhine, where she grew to womanhood. She had been an invalid for some years, and death followed a lingering illness. She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Adolph and Henry Jochmann of Kiel, and Mrs. John Peters of Rhine, and Mrs. Adela Spitzer, Racine. Another brother, Edwin, died two years ago, and a sister, Mrs. Louis Frick, passed away in Rhine three years ago. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 from the Peters home in Rhine, on Friday, with services at the St. Peter Reformed church here at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the local cemetery, and the Rev. E. CLARA JOCHMANN Mrs. Clara Jochmann, 82, of R. 2, Kiel, in the Town of Schleswig, died at her home Friday night. She was born on Sept. 21, 1886, in the Town of Schleswig, a daughter of the late William and Maria (Staats) Duerrwaechter. She attended public school in Kiel. On Aug. 2, 1913, she was married to Adolph Jochmann at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Kiel. He proceeded her in death on Nov. 4, 1945. She continued to make her home on the family farm in rural Kiel. She was a member of St. Peter’s UCC, and the Frauen Verein of the church. Survivors are one daughter, Evelyn and a son LeRoy, both on the home farm and one brother, Adolph, R. 2, Kiel. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Peter’s UCC, Kiel, with the Rev. John F. Baumann, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel Cemetery. GOTTHELF JOCHMANN Lame for about 20 years, Gotthelf Jochmann died at his home on Fourth street last Thursday at 7 a.m. Mr. Jochmann was born in Schlesien, Germany, May 15, 1849. At the age of 16 years he came to America with his parents and settled with them on a farm in Town Herman. Later he worked his way among strangers, working for a time in Iowa. On Jan. 21, 1877 he was married to Miss Mary Deicher and the couple went to live on a farm north of Kiel. Seven children were born to them, two of whom preceded him in death, Emma 27 years ago at the age of 13, and Tena, Mrs. Charles Schmidt, 3 months ago. HENRY JOCHMANN Henry Jochmann Dies Tuesday Morning Death came suddenly early Tuesday morning to Henry Jochmann, 70, whose home was at 517 Broadway. He was a former city marshal of Kiel and retired from a watchman job at the A.A. Laun Furniture Company about a year ago. MARY JOCHMANN Mary Jochmann, 72, Dies Tuesday The death of Mrs. Mary Jochmann, nee Deicher, occurred Tuesday evening at 8:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Schmidt here. Mrs. Jochmann had reached the age of 72 years. Death was attributed to infection of a goitre. The deceased was born April 29, 1845, in the town of Rhine, where she lived with her family until the time of her marriage on January 21, 1877, when she moved with her husband to a farm in Schleswig. Here the couple lived until 1917, when Mr. and Mrs. Jochmann came here to live. Her husband died one year ago. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles Schmidt; four sons, Merman of Kiel; and Fred, August, and Arthur, of New Holstein; four brothers, Adam, Phillip, Dr. Henry, and Herman Deicher, of Plymouth; three sisters, Mrs. John Luth and Mrs. Arthur Pfiel of Glenbeulah, and Mrs. Albert Smith of Milwaukee; and six grandchildren. Two children preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held from the home Friday at 1:30, and from the Reformed church at 2 o’clock, with interment in the Kiel cemetery. MATHILDA S. JOHNSON Mrs. Wallace R. Johnson, 66, passed away at her home in Chicago Saturday afternoon after a short illness. She was born on June 14, 1885, in Kiel, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Mesch. After graduating from Kiel High school, she attended business college in Milwaukee. On June 12, 1916, she was married to Wallace R. Johnson of Green Bay. He preceded her in death in 1949. Mrs. Johnson had been living in Chicago since May. WALLACE RAE JOHNSON Wallace R. Johnson, 62, died suddenly at his home at 422 Fifth street in Kiel last night. Born May 20, 1886, in Green Bay, the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Johnson, he attended school there and was a graduate of West High school and the Green Bay Business college. He came to Kiel in 1909 to take up a position in the office of the Kiel Woodenware company and later became sales manager. In 1929 he was named general manager. On June 12, 1916, he married Mathilda Mesch. During the war he served with the War Production Board and at his death was a partner in Industrial Maintenance in Milwaukee. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Presbyterian church of Kiel. Surviving are his wife; a son, Wallace, of Chicago; a sister, Mae, of Green Bay; and two brothers, Wilbur of Sheboygan and Edward of Wausaukee. WINFORD H. JOHNSON W. H. Johnson Passes Away Unexpectedly Winford H. Johnson, aged 46, a former Kiel businessman, and a veteran of World War I; and active in political and public life of northeastern Wisconsin for years, passed away Friday night at the St. Nicholas hospital in Sheboygan. Mr. Johnson had submitted to an operation for appendicitis nine days ago. Mr. Johnson served on the City Council, and was one of Kiel’s representatives on the County Board, in the late thirties, and for a short time was co—editor of the The County Record. The deceased was born in Green Bay in 1896, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Johnson. He enlisted in the Wisconsin National Guard in May, 1917 and served for a year overseas as an officer in the 32nd division. He was assigned to the 127th—l28th Infantry, 64th Brigade Headquarters. In 1924 he married Miss Hildegard Becker. Locating in Kiel he served for a number of years as bookkeeper and accountant for the Kiel Wooden Ware Company and in 1938 became a partner with Bradford A. Cox in publication of the Tri-County Record. After two years he disposed of his interest in the paper to Mr. Cox and since last April has been employed at the Hart-Carter Company at New Holstein. For years he was active in Republican party circles in north- eastern Wisconsin. He was a candidate for the Republican nomin- ation for the assembly in the second district of Manitowoc county in 1938. In 1935 when Kiel launched a program for a paved route from the county seat, Mr. Johnson became a candidate for supervisor and was elected for a 2-year term. He did not run again at the end of his term. He was active for many years in the Kiel Chamber of Commerce and served on numerous community committees. His affiliations included membership in the Kiel lodge, F. & A, M. No. 336, and the Chilton Chapter, R. A. M. No. 94, and the Kasper Post No. 99, American Legion of Kiel. Mr. Johnson is survived by his widow; three daughters, Barbara, Alice and Nancy, and a son, Allen, all at home; three brothers, Wa11ace H. of Kiel, Wilbur W. of Sheboygan, and Private Edward Johnson of Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, and a sister, Miss Mae Johnson of Green Bay. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 2 o’clock at the Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. E. Delware of Waukesha officiating. The Legion of Kasper Post No. 99 assisted in the services. Burial was made in the Kiel cemetery. Pall-bearers were Martin Lukesh, Edward Reineck, Edgar Paulsen, Earl Lehner, Arthur Graef, and George Dexheimer, members of the American Legion. ARTHUR JUGENHEIMER Arthur (Wimpy) Jugenheimer, 41, of 632 St. Paul street, Kiel, passed away Saturday morning at the Wisconsin General hospital, Madison, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He was born in Kiel on January 26, 1910, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Jugenheimer. He was employed for the last eight years by the A. A. Laun Furniture Co. and previous to that by the Kiel Wooden Ware Co. He was also a member of the Kiel fire department. Survivors are: his father; five sisters, Mrs. Norma Stevens of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Elsie Arndt, Mrs. Roma Hagenow, Mrs. Lorraine Schreiber and Miss Meta Jugenheimer, all of Kiel; and two brothers, Oscar of the town of Rhine and Harvey of California. JACOB JUGENHEIMER Jacob Jugenheimer, 85, formerly of 632 St. Paul St., Kiel, died Monday night at a Manitowoc hospital following a lingering illness. Up until 15 years ago Mr. Jugenheimer was an active member of the Kiel Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Elsie Arndt, Mrs. Loraine Schreiber, Mrs. Arno Hagenow and Miss Meta Jugenheimer of Kiel, and Mrs. Norma Stevens of Milwaukee; two sons, Oscar of Elkhart Lake and Harvey of Fontana, Calif; a brother, Henry of Kiel; a sister, Mrs. Catherine Borndfeld of Kiel; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was born on November 19, 1887(sic), in the town of Rhine as the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Weitzel) Diefenthaler. On March 28, 1896, she was married to Jacob Jugenheimer and since that time the couple have made their permanent home here. Mrs. Jugenheimer is survived by her husband and nine children, Mrs. Fred (Elsie) Arndt of Kiel, Mrs. Alfred (Lydia) Luedke of Sheboygan, Mrs. Milfred (Norma) Stevens of Milwaukee, Mrs. Arno (Roma) Hagenow of Kiel, Mrs. Lorraine Schreiber and Miss Meta Jugenheimer at home, Harvey of Sheboygan, Oscar of Kiel and Arthur at home. One daughter preceded her in death in infanacy. Other survivors are eight grandchildren, and one brother, William Diefenthaler of New Holstein. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. OSCAR W. JUGENHEIMER Oscar Jugenheimer, 74, a former Kiel and Town of Rhine resident, died Tuesday evening at Sheboygan County Hospital. He was born in Kiel, Jan. 24, 1899, a son of the late Jacob and Mary Diefenthaler Jugenheimer and attended public school there. Mr. Jugenheimer was a veteran of World War II. JACOB JUNG JACOB H. JUNG PASSES AWAY AFTER AN ILLNESS Jacob Henry Jung, aged 65, died Friday evening at his farm home just west of this city, following an illness of four months’ duration. The deceased was born in the town of Russell on May 21, 1880, son of Jacob and Mary Becker-Jung. He was united in holy wedlock with Miss Mary Spindler of Stratford on May 1, 1913, and following their marriage the couple moved to their present farm home where they have since resided.
