NORBERT 0. JANSKY Norbert 0. Jansky, age 87, formerly of Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Monday, Oct. 25, 2004 at the North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004 at the Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Highway 310 in Manitowoc, with the Rev. Dave Hoffman officiating, with entombment in the mausoleum. Norbert was born Dec. 14, 1916 in Tisch Mills to the late Edward and Clara Shimek Jansky, and has been a lifelong area resident. He worked as an auto mechanic for the Bartz Motor Company for many years, and later became their shop foremen. He then worked for the Manitowoc Ship Building Company as a welder until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of the Mishicot-Tisch Mills Knights of Columbus Council #4807 and co-founded the Squeekers Sip Club in Tisch Mills, and served as its first president. He enjoyed flying as a hobby, working at the Manitowoc Airport, and was a member of the Civil Air Corps. (Survivors omitted for privacy) He was also preceded in death by one brother, Vernon Jansky. JOSEPH R. JIMENEZ Joseph R. Jimenez, age 86, of Two Rivers, was received by the Lord early Monday morning, Feb. 13, 2006, at his residence. Joseph was born Nov. 24, 1919 in Belmont, Ohio, son of the late Julian and Sophia (Sievert) Jimenez. He graduated from Washington High School, Two Rivers, with the class of 1938. Joe served as a sergeant in the Army Air Corps as an instructor in engine operation. After his time in service, he was employed at Hamilton Industries, where he worked as a foreman and later in the engineering department as a detailer. Joe also served as president of the Hamilton Foreman’s Club until his retirement in June of 1983. He was charter member of Holy Redeemer Parish and a member of the Holy Name Society, as well as being an usher and scout master. Joe belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Mother of Hope Council 1957 of Two Rivers, where he served as Grand Knight of the Third Degree and Faithful Navigator of the Fourth Degree. He was also the manager of the Knights of Columbus Club for 16 years. Joe was a proud member of the American Legion and the Green Bay Musicians Union. He enjoyed playing the bass drum with the Hamilton/Two Rivers Municipal Band, where he formed and enjoyed many special friendships. Joe was proud to receive his patch for over 60 years of participation in the band. His hobbies also included flying model aircraft as a member of the Manitou Flyers. Joe married the former Millicent Tome at St. Luke’s Catholic Church on May 24, 1941. Millie was his best friend for 64 years. Funeral services for Joe will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O’Brien. Military rites will be accorded by the Two Rivers American Legion and VFW Posts. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends from 9 a.m. until the Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Peter the Fisherman Church. ROY W. JINDRA Roy W. Jindra, 74, of 237 Riverwood Dr., Mishicot, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at his residence after a brief illness. Roy was born June 11, 1926 in Two Rivers, son of the late Alvin and Leona Meineke Jindra and has been a life long resident. Mr. Jindra was a 1944 graduate of Mishicot High School. He served in the United States Air Force in Japan during the early years of the Korean Conflict as a Radar Technician. He married the at St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church, July 28, 1956. He served as an apprentice for the George Schmidt Plumbing Company in Mishicot, and later purchased the business in 1955 where he owned and operated Jindra Plumbing and Heating until his retirement in 1988. Mr. Jindra was baptized and confirmed and was a very faithful member of St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church and was active in the church choir. He was a former member of the Mishicot Lions Club. He was an accomplished pilot and a founding member of the Mishicot Flying Club, currently the Manitowoc Flying Club. He was also a former member of the Wisconsin Master Plumbers Association, as well as the Board of Control of Manitowoc Lutheran High School. Mr Jindra enjoyed playing the clarinet and saxophone for several area bands and orchestras during the 1950s. Survivors include his loving wife, one daughter and son-in-law, four sons and daughters-in-law, ten grandchildren, and one sister and brother-in-law, two brothers and three sisters-in-law, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ethel. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2000 at St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church, Mishicot with the Rev. Robert Johannes officiating, with entombment at the Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth, with committal prayers by the Rev. Paul Schleis, who is a godson of Mr. Jindra. DOROTHY JOHNSON Dorothy E. Johnson, age 87, of 1330 S. 25th St., Manitowoc, died on Thursday morning, Nov. 29, 2007, at her home. She was born on April 30, 1920, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Hjalmar "John" and Ellen (Johnson) Newlin. Dorothy attended Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, graduating with the class of 1938. On Jan. 16, 1942, she married the late Roy Hjalmar Johnson in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1994. Dorothy was employed at Lapcor Plastics and Mirro Aluminum until her retirement. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Manitowoc Senior Center, and the St. Paul United Methodist Women. Dorothy enjoyed her flowers and her many friends. MARIE A. JONAS Marie A. Jonas, age 78, of Two Rivers, died Thursday evening, January 18, 2001, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Louis Sievert will officiate and entombment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth Marie was born April 24, 1922, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late William F. and Meta Wenholtz Blum. She married Fred W. Jonas, on October 8, 1938, in the town of Gibson. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1978. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed by Mirro Aluminum for many years and then in the housekeeping department at Holy Family Memorial Hospital for a number of years. She was a long time member of Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church. Marie volunteered her services to many people in need. KARL W. KAHLENBERG Karl W. Kahlenberg, age 66, of Two Rivers, died Friday afternoon, February 4, 2000, at his residence, following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2000, (TODAY) at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, Two Rivers. Rev. Kim Henning will officiate at the service. Entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Karl was born October 29, 1933, in Two Rivers, son of the late William J. and Cecelia Marling Kahlenberg. He was a graduate of Lake Forest Academy High School in Lake Forest, Ill, and a 1952 graduate of Denison University, Granville, Ohio. He then served with the United States Army from 1956 until 1958. Mr. Kahlenberg was employed at Kahlenberg Bros. for over 40 years, currently serving as president. On September 29, 1984, he was married to Janice (Loehner) Kappelmann at Las Vegas, Nev. Karl was currently an active member of the Two Rivers Elks Lodge #1380, where he was a past exalted ruler and trustee, a proud member of the Two Rivers Kiwanis Club, where he was a past president, past Lt. governor and a state board member and was also the recipient of the Hixson Award. He was past chairman of the Board of Directors of Roger’s Street Fishing Village, he served on the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society, was a past president of the Chamber of Commerce, and an active member and advisor to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum. He was also a member of the Manitowoc Yacht Club, Two Rivers Shrine Club, the Door County Maritime Museum, the Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineers, and a charter member of the Healthcare Coalition. Mr. Kahlenberg was a second degree mason. The Chamber of Commerce through several nominations recently awarded Karl with the 1999 Joseph P. Schmitt Speak Up Award. Karl was a member of Branch River Country Club. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter and bridge player and enjoyed bird watching. DALE J. KASBAUM Dale J. Kasbaum, age 44, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday evening, July 29, 2004, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. EARL J. KASBAUM Earl J. Kasbaum, age 78, of 515 N. 44th Street, Manitowoc, died early Thursday morning, Feb. 12, 2004, at University Hospital — Madison. Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Army — Air Force, receiving his honorable discharge on July 26, 1946. On July 26, 1952, he married the former Oridella Ayotte at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. For 19 years, Earl was employed at Fricke Block Company of Manitowoc and then at Kelvinator Commerical Products. He was also employed for 20 years with Manitowoc Engineering until his retirement. MARGARET “MARGE” L. KILEY Margaret “Marge” L. Kiley, age 83, of Two Rivers, died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at Aurora BayCare, Green Bay. Marge was born Nov. 1, 1922 in Rock Hill, S.C., daughter of the late Silas Sistar and Loma (Carter) Sistar. On Aug. 18, 1945, Marge married Harold Kiley in South Carolina. She was employed with Hamilton Manufacturing as a Printing Press Operator, Baldwin’s as a seamstress tailor, made costumes and dresses for Jean Wolfmeyer Dance Studio, and drove for Meals on Wheels for the Two Rivers Senior Center. ALFRED H. KIRCHMAN Alfred H. Kirchman, age 98, a resident of the Hamilton Memorial Home, formerly of Two Rivers, died Monday morning, March 10, 1997, at Hamilton Memorial Home. Alfred was born October 17, 1898, at Rio Creek, Wis., son of the late Herman and Bertha Marquardt Kirchman, where he attended the Lincoln Town School. On May 27, 1924, he married Genevieve Culligan at Lincoln, Wis. Together the couple enjoyed going dancing and playing cards. He was employed for a number of years at Eggers Industries in Two Rivers and later at Hamilton Manufacturing Company until his retirement. Alfred was a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center and a former member of the Hamilton Goodfellowship Club. GENEVIEVE E. KIRCHMAN cemetery #32 Genevieve E. Kirchman, age 92, a resident of the Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, died Tuesday night, December 8, 1998, at the Hamilton Memorial Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 11, 1998, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Larry Seidl. Entombment will follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. She was born January 4, 1906, in the town of Lincoln, Kewaunee County, daughter of the late Frank and Selina Junio Culligan. She attended school at the Lincoln Town School house. On May 27, 1924, she married Alfred Kirchman at Lincoln, Wis. Together the couple enjoyed going dancing and playing cards. Gen was an Avon representative in Two Rivers for over 42 years and enjoyed visiting and talking with her customers. She was a long time member of St. Luke parish, Ladies of St. Luke, and the Two Rivers Senior Center. FRIEDA W. KITZEROW Frieda W. Kitzerow, age 108, of Manitowoc, died Saturday Nov. 12, 2005, at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc. Frieda was born on Nov. 2, 1897, daughter of the late Charles and Ottelia (Boettcher) Haese, in Berlin. On Sept. 3, 1922 she married Reinhard P. Kitzerow at St. John-St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1986. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Cato area until 1945 when they moved to Manitowoc. Frieda was employed as a seamstress by Normington Laundry for 29 years and by Globe Laundry for three years until her retirement at the age of 76. She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. Herald Times Reporter Nov. 14, 2005 ******** Frieda spent most of her school years in Medford although she was born in Berlin (WI) on November 2, 1897. After grade school, Frieda worked in Milwaukee as a housekeeper. In 1922, she married Reinhold Kitzerow and moved to a farm near Cato. While vacations were unheard of, Frieda recalls “card parties with neighbors.” When the children were grown, Frieda and Reiny sold the farm. He then worked in a paper factory and she as a seamstress. About her first Maytag wringer washer: “I spent days looking at it before I had the courage to use it. After I did, I never went back to the washboard.” Since her husband died in 1986, Frieda lives quietly, enjoying visits from her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. FLORENCE E. KLEIN Florence E. Klein, age 76, of Two Rivers, died Tuesday afternoon, June 6, 2000, at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2000, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. David Scherbarth with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Florence was born February 3, 1924, in Brussels, Wis., daughter of the late Albert and Elinda Eickelberg. She attended Tornado Grade School and graduated from Brussels High School with the class of 1941. She graduated from the Manitowoc Business College in 1942. Florence was then employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company for a few years. She married Marvin C. Klein on September 16, 1944, at Emanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Brussels. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1991. Florence was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and also regularly attended Bible Class at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church. Florence was also a charter member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary serving as secretary for many years. IVAN KLEIN Ivan J. Klein, age 85, of 1917 32nd St., Two Rivers, passed into the hands of our Lord on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, surrounded by members of his family. Ivan was born on June 24, 1921 in Tisch Mills, son of the late Harry and Ella (Wildman) Klein. He graduated in 1939 from W ashington High School, Two Rivers. Ivan served in the 8th Army Air Force during World War II from October 1942 through October 1945 in the European Theatre. On Dec. 19, 1942, Ivan married the former Marie Richard at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He attended Vocational Technical School in Green Bay, where he learned his trade as a mechanic and tool and die maker. He retired from Hamilton Industries in 1984. Ivan was an usher and member of the finance committee for St. Luke Parish, men of Holy Redeemer, communion distributor, and member of the men of St. Peter the Fisherman Church. He was a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center, Two Rivers Historical Society, and a member of the Machinists Union of Manitowoc County. Ivan was a life member of the Otto Oas VFW Post 659, Manitowoc; was a past post commander; and served on the firing squad for 45 years. He was also a life member of the KC Mother of Hope Council 1957, Two Rivers, and served in all the offices including grand knight. He served many years as financial secretary and district deputy. He was a member of the Francis Simino Assembly 1220 4th Degree KC and served as faithful navigator, purser and controller. He was also a member of the 4th Degree Honor Guard. ALPHONSE JOSEPH KNIPP Alphonse Joseph Knipp, age 89, of 2409 Adams St., Two Rivers, died Monday afternoon, Sept. 6, 2004 at Aurora Medical Center, following a long illness. Alphonse was born on July 4, 1915 on a farm in West Kewaunee, son of the late Peter Knipp and Lucy (Ciche) Knipp. Al was a 1933 graduate of Kewaunee High School and married the former Edna Krueger on Oct. 5, 1940 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Two Rivers. During World War II, he worked at the Shipyards (Manitowoc Company) installing plumbing for submarines used for the war. After that, he worked 33 years as an employee of Mirro Aluminum Company in Two Rivers, where he was active as an officer in the labor union of that company for a number of years. He retired in 1971 at age 62. Alphonse was a family man and was always very involved in doing fun activities with his children and spouse. He possessed a love of nature and the outdoors, enjoying fishing and hiking for most of his life. Al was also an avid gardener and an excellent handyman around the house. He liked to read and loved music and polka dancing when he was able. Upon retirement, he pursued his artistic talent by delving into woodcarving, string art and stained glass. He enjoyed taking yearly trips to Florida with his family during his later years before his illness. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. JANET M. KNUTSON Janet M. Knutson, age 82, of 3400 Yorkshire Lane, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, Oct. 28, 2002 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. ELMER C. KOLBE Elmer C. Kolbe, age 95, of the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary, formerly of Chilton, was received into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. He was born July 12, 1914 in Charlestown, son of the late Joseph and Martha (Reiser) Kolbe. Elmer married Helen Bogenschutz on September 10, 1940 at St. Wendell Catholic Church in Cleveland. The couple farmed together in the Town of Charlestown and Elmer was accredited as a certified seed grower. Helen preceded him in death on October 5, 2006. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, and the Charlestown Catholic Knights branch where he had served as President for several years. Elmer was also very active in the Chilton Eagles Club and was instrumental in the construction of their current building. Elmer took his civic duties very seriously and volunteered countless hours at the Charlestown Town Hall assisting voters during election time. FRANK KOZLOWSKI Frank J. Kozlowski, age 78, of 9420 Sunrise Lane, Two Rivers, died peacefully early on Sunday morning, Feb. 24, 2008, at his residence, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born on June 14, 1929, in Two Rivers, son of the late Frank Sr. and Antoinette (Kotarek) Kozlowski. He attended St. Luke's Catholic Grade School and Washington High School, Two Rivers, graduating with the class of 1948. He furthered his education for one year at the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc, and one year at the Milwaukee School of Printing. On Jan. 27, 1951, he married Mary Glesner at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Frank worked for Hamilton Industries for 20 years, and later worked at Eggers Industries for 25 years, retiring in 1991. He was a sports enthusiast, and enjoyed playing many years with various softball leagues, including the over 40 "oldtimers" league; various bowling leagues; and participated in the golf and horseshoe leagues in Two Rivers. He also enjoyed watching all sports, and especially loved the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He enjoyed watching old westerns and above all, enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and attending their many events. He was a former member of St. Joe's Athletic Club, and former member of St. Luke's Holy Name, presently the men of St. Peter the Fisherman. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) VIOLA M. KRAINIK Viola (Herman) Krainik, a.k.a. Krajnik, age 95, a Francis Creek resident, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County. Viola was born Oct. 10, 1909 near Branch, in the town of Kossuth (Route 5), daughter of the late Luke and Emma (Hessel) Herman. The family moved to Mishicot in 1915 and then to Francis Creek in 1922. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School class of 1927. Viola was employed at Hessel Music House for several years, then at Korzinek Music Shop until her retirement in 1965. On Sept. 28, 1957, Viola married Joseph Krainik at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. After their marriage, they lived at Polifka Corners from 1957 until 1974 when they moved to Francis Creek. Viola was a member of St. Anne Catholic Parish, Francis Creek and St. Anne Altar Society. She was a long time member of the Kubale-O’Connell VFW Auxiliary Post 6179, Kellnersville having served as president, secretary and treasurer. She was honored as auxiliary president at the VFW state convention in West Allis. Viola was an active participant in the Francis Creek-Rockwood Senior Citizens where she served as secretary for eight years. She also enjoyed belonging to the Kellnersville Senior Citizens. Viola went home to the Lord on Sept. 26, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph, on Sept. 24, 1986; her parents; two brothers: Luke Herman Jr. and Carl (Webber) Herman; two sisters: Beatrice Benish and an infant sister, Mary; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Survivors include nephews, nieces; brother-in-law: Ernest Krajnik, Francis Creek and nieces and nephews of the Krajnik family. A special family, the Neilitz family, is also included. META L. LARSEN Meta L Larsen, age 96, of Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 7, 2005, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc. HARRY LARZELERE Harry G. Larzelere, age 80, of 1632 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, went to his heavenly home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008. Harry was born in Lily on March 16, 1927, son of the late Clyde and Bernadine (Gilray) Larzelere. He graduated from White Lake Union Free High School in 1945. He then served with the U.S. Navy in the Phillipines during World War II. He returned home and continued his schooling at Langlade County Normal School finishing in 1947. Harry received his bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He married the former Blanche Bigger in Lily on June 21, 1947. The couple recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He taught at various schools throughout the state, serving as principal and teacher at many of them. After leaving teaching he worked in Milwaukee and later moved to Green Bay to work for the Department of Labor and Human Relations for the state of Wisconsin, transferring to Rhinelander and then to Manitowoc. Harry semi-retired in 1981, and worked various part-time jobs until his full retirement in 2000. Harry was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot, serving on several church committees. He was a member of the Lion's International since 1972, and the Manitowoc Lions since 1974, holding positions as president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and tail-twister. He received various awards, including Secretary and Treasurer Award; Distinguished Service Award; Melvin Jones Fellow Award; and most recently, the Birch-Sturm Fellowship Award. He was a member of Drews-Bleser American Legion Post 88 of Manitowoc. He enjoyed spending time with his family, serving as chief chauffeur to his grandchildren, attending his grandchildren's special events, and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. He was an avid fan of both the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. He also volunteered at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) EARL LAU Earl R. Lau, age 85, of Scenic View Villa, St. Nazianz, formerly of Rantoul Township, died on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers. Earl was born on July 5, 1922, in the town of Brillion, son of the late Robert and Anna (Bollerly) Lau. On Oct. 18, 1947, he married Elaine Haupt in Manitowoc. Earl was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. During his life he drove truck, farmed, owned a cattle-trucking route, worked for Hernke Cheese Company and drove a delivery van for the New Hope Center in Chilton. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) He was preceded in death by his wife: Elaine; his parents; a brother; and a special friend: Betty Hoefner. HARVEY JOSEPH LEONARD Harvey Joseph Leonard, age 90, of Kiel, died Thursday, September 14, 2000, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in rural Fond du Lac County. Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2000, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel. Rev. David Laabs will officiate with burial in the Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Manitowoc. He was born October 5, 1909, in Louis Corners, son of the late George Leonard and Ida Wilhelmine Pauline Strade. Harvey was a 3rd generation American of German descent, his great grandparents, George Leonard and Elisabeth Urban having immigrated to the United States as pioneers in 1852, settling in the Rhine Township of Sheboygan County. He attended the Rockville Grade School and the Kiel High School. On February 3, 1934, he married Irene Lydia Huhn at St. John & St. Peter Lutheran Church in Cleveland. The couple has resided in the Kiel area since their marriage and celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this year. Harvey was employed by Stoelting Inc. in Kiel as a shop worker making cheese vats from 1939 to 1944, and then again from 1946 until his retirement in 1974. Harvey also farmed 60 acres on the outskirts of Kiel with his wife and family, and was well known in the community for the potatoes he grew and sold from his home for over 25 years. After retirement, he was actively engaged in his hobbies of fishing, collecting and restoring antique tractors, gasoline engines and cash registers. He was a member of the Wisconsin Steam & Antique Engine Club. Harvey was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kiel. He was affectionately known by his many grandchildren and great grand- children as "Papa" and will be greatly missed by his entire family. Survivors include his wife, one son, two daughters, three sisters, 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; and four step great grand- children. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett Leonard and Roy Leonard; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. A Memorial has been established in his memory. ALICE LEONOWICZ Alice M. Leonowicz, age 82, formerly of County Road CR, died on Wednesday morning, Feb. 6, 2008, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc. She was born on Sept. 24, 1925, in Newton, daughter of the late William and Hulda (Rambadt) Awe. On Sept. 7, 1946, she married Edward J. Leonowicz at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Osman. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1992. Alice was a member of St. Francis of Assisi. She was an excellent cook and was known for her potato pancakes. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) She was preceded in death by a grandson: Nathan; a great-grandson: Ethan; a brother: Edmund Awe and his wife, LaVerne; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Lily and Norma Awe; and Ruth Irick and her husband, Clayton; three brothers-in-law: Joseph Leonowicz and his wife, Theresa; Henry Leonowicz and his wife, Grace; and Russell Wellner; and a sister-in-law: Margie Awe. NORBERT J. LIEBERGEN Norbert J. Liebergen, 89, of Brillion died on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003 at his home. He was born March 2, 1914 in Wrightstown, son of the late Martin and Anna (Baeten) Liebergen. On Jan. 23, 1937 he married Adele Eichhorst at Morrison. Norbert farmed in the Town of Maple Grove for 30 years, and worked at Larson Canning Co. in Brillion until his retirement. He also served on the Wayside Phone Co. board of directors for 29 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wayside and served on the church board and school board. He was also a member of the Brillion Sr. Citizens and drove for the Meals on Wheels program in Brillion... (survivors omitted for privacy)... Norbert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Adele on Oct. 9-1994; and a sister Lucille Lipske. FLORENCE LUCKOW Florence Minnie Mae Luckow, age 95, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center. Florence was born on Dec. 2, 1911, in the town of Athens, Marathon County, daughter of the late Paul and Mary Becker Lehman. She grew up and was educated in the town of Athens and attended Trinity Lutheran School. On May 30, 1930, she married Irving Luckow at Trinity Lutheran Church in Athens. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2001. Florence was a member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, Newton, Salem Ebenezer Ladies Aid, and the White Trail Homemakers. She enjoyed baking, gardening and crafts. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) She was preceded in death by her husband: Irving; one son: Robert Luckow; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons; three brothers; two sisters; one son-in-law: Lloyd Wernecke.
