ERWIN W. EGGERT Erwin W. Eggert, age 87, of Two Rivers, died early Saturday morning, May 24, 1997, at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 1997, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Edward Stelter will officiate at the service with entombment to follow at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. He was born January 14, 1910, in the town of Gibson, son of the late Rudolph and Augusta Goertz Eggert. He attended schools in the town of Gibson. On November 6, 1934, he married Florence Sincoular in the town of Gibson. Erwin farmed in the town of Two Rivers for many years. NORBERT H. EHLENBECK Norbert H. Ehlenbeck, age 79, died Monday April 15, 2002 at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. He was born September 6, 1922 son of the late Emil & Mary Richart Ehlenbeck. He attended St. Anna School. On June 21, 1944 he married Laynilda "Nellie" Schmitz in Marytown. Norbert worked for the former Leverenz Shoe Factory and later at the Arps Corporation (a division of Chromaloy) where he was a foreman and later a Superintendent. He retired in 1980. He was a former member of the St. Anna Fire Department and later retired from the New Holstein Volunteer Fire Department. Norbert was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, the Catholic Knights, Outdoors Sportsman Club and the Brothertown Fishing Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. HAROLD ELFNER Harold G. "Red" Elfner, age 85, of 1010 Koeppel Lane, Manitowoc, died on Sunday morning, Feb. 3, 2008, at Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers. Red was born on Sept. 16, 1922, in Lena, Wis., son of the late Raymond and Lillian (Nequette) Elfner. He graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1940. On April 2, 1965, Red married Carol Blank in Galena, Ill. He was employed with Paragon Manufacturing Company for 42 years as a shipping supervisor. Red enjoyed playing softball and bowling, and he liked to watch football. He was inducted into the Kenny's Softball Hall of Fame in Manitowoc. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) He was also preceded in death by one infant son; one son: Marc; two brothers: Russell and Raymond Elfner; and two sisters: Marguerite "Maggie" Cherney and Carol Markham. ALMA ELLIOTT Alma Sophia Elliott, age 93, formerly of 949 Laduren Drive, Mishicot, a resident of Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at the center. Alma was born Sept. 9, 1914, in Odanah, to the late Ben and Edna Sigfried Anderson. She married Oscar Elliott on Dec. 12, 1936, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crandon. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2008. Alma worked for many years for the Paragon Electric Co. in Two Rivers. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot, where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Hour. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) In addition to her parents and her husband, she also was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Hansen, and one brother, Rudolph Anderson. OSCAR ELLIOTT Oscar Elliott, age 93, formerly of 949 Laduron Drive, Mishicot, a resident of River's Bend in Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at the Aurora Medical Center of Two Rivers. Oscar was born on April 4, 1914, in Bryant, to the late Samuel and Margaret (Manning) Elliott. He married the former Alma Anderson on Dec. 12, 1936, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crandon. He worked for many years for the Eggers Manufacturing Company. Oscar was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves. ARMIN F. EWALD

Armin F. Ewald, age 84, of Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, January 6, 2001, at his residence. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m on Tuesday, January 9, 2001, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. The Rev. Victor Headrick and Rev. Herbert Kruschel will officiate, entombment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Armin was born January 16, 1916, in the township of Manitowoc Rapids, Manitowoc County, son of the late Adolph and Elizabeth Schramm Ewald. He grew up and was educated in the township of Manitowoc Rapids. Armin was married to Lorraine M. Matthias, June 13, 1942, at Trinity Lutheran Church, township of Liberty. Armin was a dairy farmer in the township of Manitowoc Rapids all of his life retiring in 1976, and in semi retirement he worked for the Lakeshore Technical College, as a Agricultural Technical instructor until 1981. He was a life long member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, a member of the church choir for many years, he was a life time member of the Manitowoc Farm Bureau, a former director of the Lakeshore Farm Management Association, and a Charter member of the Lake to Lake Dairy Cooperative. Armin enjoyed reading, gardening, bowling, playing cards and traveling. Agnes Fecteau, age 84, of Two Rivers, died Wednesday afternoon, May 3, 1995, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 1995, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Paul Schumacher will officiate with entombment at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum. She was born January 20, 1911, in Red Lake Falls, Minn., daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Zins Johanneck. She attended schools in Red Lake Falls, Minn. She married Elmer Fecteau June 8, 1934, in Two Rivers. She was employed with Hamilton Manufacturing Company, Boehringer Oil and Fuel Company and Two Rivers Savings Bank as a teller. Adeline K. Flemal, age 86, a resident of Harmony of Two Rivers, died Friday, July 23, 2004 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Adeline was born Sept. 13, 1917 in the town of Gibson, a daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Sladky) Spevacek. She attended schools in Mishicot, graduating with the class of 1935 from Mishicot High School. On July 3, 1938, she married Alex Flemal at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. He preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1998. Together, the couple owned and operated Flemal’s Footwear and Tots-to-Teens in Two Rivers for 27 years until their retirement. Adeline was a longtime member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, a very active member of the Two Rivers Senior Center and volunteer for the Meals-on-Wheels program. Alex (Al) Flemal, age 87, of Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning Dec. 22, 1998, at Two Rivers Community Hospital. Entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth He was born March 23, 1911, in the town of Brussels, Door County, son of the late Alexander and Josephine Dedecker Flemal He attended Door County Schools, graduating from Sturgeon Bay High school with the class of 1929. On July 2, 1938, he married Adeline Spevachek at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. Alex was employed for a short time at Eggers Industries and also Paragon Electric Co. before operating a grocery store on 3lst Street, in Two Rivers. The couple then owned and operated Flemal Footwear in Two Rivers for 27 years until retirement. Al was also a police officer for the city of Two Rivers for a number of years. Mr. Flemal served as past president of the Two Rivers Police and Fire Commission, the Chamber of Commerce, Meals On Wheels Program and the Two Rivers Silver K Kiwanis Club. He was an active member at the Two Rivers Senior Center where he enjoyed singing with the Senior Center Chorus. He was the former head of Music Under the stars Program, active with the Boy Scout Troops and a long-time member of the Manitowoc County Commission on Aging and the Two Rivers Committee on Aging. Al also volunteered, many hours at the Point beach State Forest Park. PAUL E. FRENZ Paul E. Frenz, age 61, of Two Rivers, died Saturday morning, February 15, 1997, at V.A. Medical Center, Wood, Wis. Marie also worked for the Carron Net Company for many years and retired from the Metal Ware Corp. Marie enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and playing cards especially Sheepshead. She especially cherished her grandchildren, great grandkids and enjoyed family gatherings. GLADYS C. GADICKE Gladys C. Gadicke, age 86, of 3414 Division St., died early Sunday morning at her residence with her loving daughter at her side. Gladys was born on Feb. 18, 1919 in Oconto, daughter of the late John and Mary Cussie Kasbaum. On April 22, 1944 she married Harvey O. Gadicke in Brillion. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1983. Donald was a very active and dedicated member of the Two Rivers Historical Society and an avid golfer and bowler. JUNE G. GAUTHIER June G. Gauthier, age 84, of Two Rivers, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at her residence. June was born Jan. 1, 1921 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Arthur P. and Florence (Schultz) Marineau. She attended Two Rivers public schools and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1939. On Nov. 20, 1941, June married Robert 0. Gauthier in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1985. June was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing Company for 24 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Two Rivers Historical Society, Two Rivers Homemakers and associate member of the Visually Handicapped Support Group, Veterans Auxiliary and the Two Rivers Senior Center. June was also the coordinator of volunteers in the surgical family waiting room at Two Rivers and Aurora Hospitals and enjoyed knitting caps for the newborn babies there. LESLIE C. GAUTHIER Leslie C. Gauthier, age 78, of Two Rivers, died early Tuesday morning Oct. 2, 2001 at the Aurora Medical Center Two Rivers. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 20Ol at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Edward Stelter, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the American Legion & V.F.W. Posts. Les was born May 7, 1923 in Two Rivers, son of the late David “Kelly” and Wanda Petrashek Gauthier. He attended public grade school and Vocational School in Two Rivers. On Dec. 29, 1942 he entered the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. He was a member of the 252 nd Battalion Hdqts. Co., serving in Europe during the Battle of the Bulge. Les worked as a field lineman and received numerous metals(sic). He was honorably discharged from service on Feb. 9, 1946. On July 1, 1972 he was married to Harriet Mandel in Two Rivers. Les was employed for a number of years at the Metal Ware Corp. in Two Rivers, and later with Hamilton Mfg. Co., retiring in 1988. Mr. Gauthier served on the church council of Our Savior Lutheran Church for many years; he also volunteered many hours at the church. Les played a number of instruments, playing publicly for many years with the “Melody Makers”. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed woodworking and was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Manitowoc County Fish & Game Assoc. (Survivors omitted for privacy) In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Harvey and Russel Gauthier. Geimer, age 68, of Two Rivers, joined his Lord in his Heavenly home, Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2000, at the Faith Ev. Free Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Rick Hines and Rev. Ray Caldwell will officiate, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. He was born February 13, 1932, in Two Rivers, son of the late Urban L. and Gertrude Forst Geimer. He attended St. Luke Parochial School and Washington High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On July 14, 1972, he married Mary Marx. He is retired from Kelvinator Products, where he was employed as a machinist. His memberships include the Men's Garden Club, Two Rivers French Canadian Club and he was actively involved in church building projects following his retirement. ARNOLD GEISER Arnold Geiser, 92, of Hayton, passed away at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. He was born fifth of 12 children, in the Town of Charlestown, son of the late Martin & Magdalena (Gruber) Geiser. He married Madeline Mueller on June 9, 1942, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood. Arnold farmed his entire life in the Town of Charlestown and also worked for Christel and Ninmer in New Holstein where he undertook many tasks, but was especially proud that he worked on Oliver tractors. He could crack hickory nuts with the best of them, always enjoyed playing a game of skat, and was still a sharp sheepshead player. Arnold especially enjoyed visits from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he always made sure they received their ice cream bar. He is a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and had been a lifelong member of St. Martin's Parish in Charlestown. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society, St. Martin's dartball team, and a longtime member of Catholic Knights Branch 194 in Charlestown. He was one of eight siblings who all at the same time received the 75-year member recognition from the Catholic Knights. CELESTINE A. "SALLY" GEISER Celestine A. "Sally" Geiser, age 86, of the Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center, New Holstein, died on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002 at the center. She was born on March 12, 1916 in New Holstein, a daughter of the late Frank and Mathilda (Schwarz) Wagner. Sally married Gregory C. Geiser on April 28, 1937 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1987. The couple had farmed in the Town of Chilton until their retirement. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton, the Christian Mothers, and the Daughters of Isabella. RUTH “RUTHIE” GLANDT Ruth “Ruthie” Glandt, age 75, of Two Rivers, died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, early Sunday afternoon, March 22, 1998, at Two Rivers Community Hospital Two Rivers. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at the Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, and 10 am, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Ruthie was born February 2, 1923, daughter of the late William and Tressie Gauthier Henfer. She grew up in Two Rivers, Manitowoc County, attending St. Luke Grade School, and was a graduate of the Two Rivers High School with the class of 1941. She was married to Frederic P. “Fritz” Glandt on May 10, 1943, in Two Rivers. Ruthie was a lifetime member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Ladies of St. Luke, the American Legion Auxiliaxy Robert E. Burns Post, V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #1248, the Rogers Street Fishing Village, Two Rivers Historical Society, the Washington House Museum, all of Two Rivers, the American Canadian Genealogical Society and the Boy Scouts of America. Ruthie was the first Snow Queen in the City of Two Rivers in 1937. Her favorite full time interest was the history of Two Rivers and the tracing of her family genealogy, the Gauthier-LaFond families, for which she created over 60 volumes that date back to the 1500’s. She loved Point Beach State Forest and the Neshotah Park and Beach areas. Ruthie spent countless hours introducing her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to the beauty of the Lakeshore. Ruthie worked for the Two Rivers Doctors Clinic Ltd. for many years. She was a truly loyal and caring friend who was always available to lend a smile, an understanding ear, and assistance to family and friends. Freely giving of herself was Ruth’s hallmark. Her endless generousity, compassion and beautiful smile will be deeply missed. LUCILLE R. GOSZ Lucille R. Gosz, age 90, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002 at Shady Lane. Lucille was born April 14, 1911 in the town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County. Her parents were the late Peter and Sophie Mailand Kleman, She married Goerge J. Gosz, April 30, 1930 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Mr. Gosz preceded her in death Oct. 26, 1984. Mrs. Gosz, along with her late husband Goerge, owned and operated the Gosz bar from the time of their marriage until George's death in 1984. Lucille continued to operate the bar by herself until July 1992. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. She had many interests, but two of her favorites were playing cards and cooking. O. SHERMAN GRAINGER O. Sherman "Sherm" Grainger, age 95, died on Saturday morning, Feb. 9, 2008, at St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc. Sherm was born on Aug. 12, 1912, in Manitowoc, son of the late Otis and Lillian (Kurth) Grainger. He attended Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, graduating with the class of 1930. On Sept. 5, 1936, Sherm married the former Sophia Stanul. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve Auxiliary during War World II, from June of 1943 until September of 1945. Sherm was employed as a manager at Kelvinator and later with Manitowoc Equipment Works until his retirement at the age of 64. He was also a member of the Elk's Club in Manitowoc for more than 50 years. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) WALTER W. GRAPENTINE SR. Walter W. Grapentine Sr., age 87, died Saturday evening, Sept. 23, 2006, at the Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County. On Sept. 23, 1919, Walter was married to the former Sadie W. Ploeckelman in Manitowoc. Walter worked for the Mirro Company, retiring in 1983. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and coin collecting. HILARY GRETZ Hilary Gretz, age 59, of Two Rivers, died on Saturday morning Oct. 26, 2002 at the V. A. Medical Center, Milwaukee. Hilary was born on June 18, 1943, the son of the late Joseph and Elsie Klein Gretz. He graduated from Mishicot High School, class of 1961. Hilary served in the United States Army from 1961 until 1969 with a tour in Vietnam. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Hilary married the former Judith Hanes on September 9, 1961, in Two Rivers. In 1973 Hilary started an Auto Body shop in Two Rivers and in 1981 the business moved to the homestead on Hwy Q and was known as “Gretz Auto Sales and Service’, retiring in 1993. Hilary was a skilled custom auto painter, a Ford lover, and a Harley Davidson owner. He loved wood working, playing cards, especially Sheephead, camping up north, hunting and fishing. Hilary was a member of the National Rifle Association. HOWARD HALDERSON Howard R. Halderson, age 86, of 3400 Yorkshire Lane, Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon Dec. 14, 2007, surrounded by his family. Howard was born on Nov. 18, 1921, in Valders, son of the late Albert and Alvina (Hanson) Halderson. He was a graduate of Valders High School with the class of 1940. Howard served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II in the battles of Midway, Saipan, and Tinian. He also served with the occupational forces in Nagasaki, Japan. On Aug. 12, 1942, he married the former Shirley Espen in Valders. Howard worked for Wisconsin Public Service Corporation for 38 years, starting as a lineman and retiring as Electric Supervisor in the Two Rivers office. He was a member of the Men's Brotherhood and past council member of First Reformed United Church of Christ, and the Pigeon Lake Association. Howard enjoyed traveling, woodworking, helping friends and family, spending his summers at Pigeon Lake and his winters camping in Florida. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) GLENN E. HAUPT Glenn E. Haupt, age 68, of Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon, February 21, 2001, at the family residence surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Military Rites will be accorded by the American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88. Glenn was born April 6, 1932, in the Town of Newton, Manitowoc County, son of the late Myron and Hertha Glaeser Haupt. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950. Glenn served with the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955 on the naval ship the U.S.S. Maloy overseas during the Korean War. After the war he returned to Manitowoc where he served as an apprentice tool and dye maker at Mirro Aluminum. He then became employed with Paragon Electric for 20 years and then with Jagemann Stamping where he retired in 1994 holding the position as supervisor of the tool and dye department He married Ruby E. Freis on March 20, 1952, at St. John and St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Cleveland, Wis. She preceded Glenn in death on May 14, 1984. He later married Ione Erickson on September 27, 1986 at First German Ev. Lutheran Church. Glenn was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church where he had served as the church Treasurer, elder and also deacon of the church. Glenn also sang with the church's male choir and the mixed choir. Glenn was also involved with the stewardship program of the church. Other memberships include the American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88 and the Newton Fire Department where he was volunteer for 25 years and served as an officer of the department. He grew up and was educated at Rice Lake joining the U.S. Army following high school. Donald moved to Two Rivers in 1953 and moved to rural Manitowoc in 1979. He worked for the Manitowoc Company until his retirement in 1996. On June 16, 1979 he was married to Patricia Beatty Scimemi at Manitowoc. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church of Manitowoc. Donald enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching the Green Bay Packers. MARIE S. HEIMANN Marie S. Heimann, 81, of 619 Miller Court, Kiel, died Tuesday afternoon, November 27, 2007 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center, Plymouth where she was a resident the past 2 1/2 months. Prior to being a resident of Rocky Knoll she had resided at Century Ridge, Chilton for 8 months. She was the former Marie Arenz, born August 2, 1926 in Jericho, WI, daughter of the late Arthur and Clara Schommer Arenz. Marie attended Holy Trinity Grade School in Jericho and was a Chilton High School graduate. On May 11, 1948 she married Clarence J. Heimann at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho. Clarence preceded her in death on December 13, 2002. Marie was employed at the former Hansen Glove Factory in Kiel and Leverenz Shoe Factory, New Holstein and retired from Tecumseh Products, New Holstein. After her retirement Clarence and Marie enjoyed winters in Arizona. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, Christian Womens Society and the Catholic Knights, Branch #194, Charlestown. Marie enjoyed gardening and playing cards. ALFRED HEINZ Alfred H. Heinz, age 95, a resident of Laurel Grove Assisted Living Center, Manitowoc, died Monday morning, Feb. 5, 2007, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. Alfred was born July 4, 1911, in Manitowoc, a son of the late Fred and Matilda Ortmeier Heinz and spent some time of his youth in the town of Newton. He attended First German Evangelical Lutheran grade school. On Feb. 18, 1941, Alfred was married to the former Gertrude Zastrow at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Alfred retired in 1976 from the Oil-Rite Corp., where he had worked as a machinist for 27 years. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) He was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Rebecca Boldt; and three brothers: Elmer, Allyn and Roland Heinz. Alfred was a kind, patient and loving husband and father. Dad always had an expression for every occasion, enjoyed a good joke, and always greeted everyone he passed by. He loved to reminisce about the years gone by and was a wealth of information about Manitowoc and the surrounding area. He enjoyed reading his German Bible and read a daily devotion for Mom each day and prayed for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will miss him very much but the promise of the Bible is "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" is now a reality for him. SYLVAN J. HESSEL Sylvan J. Hessel, age 83, of Francis Creek, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Francis Creek, with the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Theodore Hendricks. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc. Sylvan was born March 9, 1919 in Francis Creek. He was the son of the late Edward and Agnes Benishek Hessel. He graduated from Washington High School, Two Rivers. He continued his education and graduated from the Manitowoc Teachers College. Sylvan then continued his college education at the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh and UW-Madison. He taught in Manitowoc County for four years. Sylvan was employed with Manitowoc Engineering Corporation as a buyer in the purchasing department for 33 years retiring in June 1981. He married Marie T. Miller on May 5, 1953. She preceded him in death Feb. 17, 1979. Sylvan was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, director of the St. Anne Adult Choir for more than 25 years, past member of St. Anne’s Worship Committee, Vicariate Representative, St. Anne Parish Council, communion distributor, teacher in the religious education program and other various activities as called upon. He was also a past member of the Masquers Inc. and was an usher at the Capitol Civic Centre. He was also a soloist for weddings in Manitowoc County and surrounding counties. KENNETH T. HETUE Kenneth T. Hetue, age 85, a resident of the Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, since September, died early Wednesday morning, March 22, 2006, at the Hamilton Home. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. William G. O’Brien, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc. Ken was born Aug. 19, 1920, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Thomas J. and Dorothy (Boutin) Hetue. He attended St. Luke Catholic Grade School and Washington High School, Two Rivers, graduating with the class of 1938. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Germany during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Ken served as a piper cub pilot, earning the rank of first Lieutenant. On Jan. 3, 1942, he married the former Lorraine Mushel in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death July 15, 1988. Ken was employed at Hamilton Industries for 42 years, serving as shop foreman for 17 years, and retired in 1982. He was a longtime member of the Hamilton Goodfellow- ship Club, February Club, and the Two Rivers Senior Center. He also served on the board of directors of Shoreline Credit Union for many years. DORIS MAE HEYROTH Doris Mae Heyroth, age 71, of Mishicot, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2002 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, with the Rev. John Neuser officiating. Entombment will take place in the Knollwood Mausoleum in the town of Kossuth. Doris was born June 13, 1930 in Two Rivers to the late Ernest and Mary Zywicki Blasczyk and has been a lifelong area resident. She married Art C. Heyroth Aug. 23, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Two Rivers. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. Doris enjoyed fishing with her family at Little Sturgeon and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flower gardening and sharing her flowers with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, two daughters and sons-in-law, one son, four grandchildren, one sister, one brother, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law. JOHN S. HOIDA, JR. John S. Hoida, age 94, of 2520 5th St., Two Rivers, died Tuesday evening, March 24, 1994, at the Two Rivers Community hospital. Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday, April 2, 1994, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Paul Schumacher, with entombment as follows in the Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. He was born December 26, 1889 at Menomonee, Mich., son of the late John and Mary Burish Hoida. At age 2, his family moved to the family farm in Coleman area where he attended local schools. Later, he attended Auto Mechanic School in Kansas City, Kansas. He married the former Anna Voelker, May 14, 1929 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Spruce, Wis. He was employed with the Kaltenberg Bros Company of Two Rivers as a machinist from 1928 until his retirement in 1965. Mr. Hoida was a member of the local Machinist Union and was avid sportsman. Survivors include his wife, Anna Hoida, Two Rivers; two daughters (private); two brothers and a sister-in-law; George Hoida, Peshtigo, Sylvester and Eileen Hoida, Coleman; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Frank, Ed and Harry, a sister, Marie Kritch. WILLIAM HOLMES William K. Holmes Jr., age 79, of 419 Washington St., Mishicot, entered into eternal life early Saturday morning, Jan. 26, 2008, at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc. Bill was born March 14, 1928, in Two Rivers, to the late William Sr. and Anna Blum Holmes, and has been a lifelong area resident. He married the former Beverly Janda on Feb. 23, 1952, in Tisch Mills, and she preceded him in death May 12, 1978. He served his country in the U.S. Navy with the Seabee's in the latter part of World War II. Bill was employed by the Mirro Manufacturing Company for many years retiring in March of 1991. He enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time at his cottage in Little Sturgeon. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren, and his family and friends enjoyed his great sense of humor. Bill was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, the Mishicot VFW Kempen- Staudinger- Terens Post No. 7753. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Mishicot Volunteer Fire Department. JAMES HARLAN HOPSON James Harlan Hopson was born at Crivitz, Wisconsin on the 20th of September 1924 to James Herbert and Lena Maud Hopson. He moved to Marinette a few years later, started his schooling at the old Park School, now gone, where he was taught to play an old “E Flat, Upright Alto”. In 1936 the family moved to Indiana Harbor, Indiana, in 1937 they moved to East Chicago, Indiana and again in 1937 they moved to South Chicago, Illinois (by this time Jim had his own French Single Horn) where he attended Bowen High School, was a member of its first band and was a Drum Major. In 1942 with the advent of World War II the family moved to Manitowoc, Wisconsin where James attended Lincoln High School, playing in the band and was Drum Major. In December of 1942 he went into the Marine Corps, having his mother pick up his diploma in 1943 as we were at war and he was training in Calif. Having served in the South Pacific in 1944 and ‘45, his last combat was on Iwo Jima. James was a Marine Bandsman, who in combat was a Litter Bearer from the front line to a battalion aid station where Drs. were. After service he took employment with Montgomery Wards in Two Rivers where he met his wife, getting married on the 25th of March, 1948 to the former Doris M. Schepper. He later worked for Deja and Martin Furniture and Funeral Home he was a Manitowoc County Traffic Officer for 11 years, after which he became a Deputy Federal Marshal until 1983 at which time he retired. James was a member of the old Hamilton Band that later became the City Band of Two Rivers and Drum Majored that Band for several years. He was a 2O-year member of that band and Musicians Local 195. He served as marshal in Milwaukee, Tucson, and Bismarck, North Dakota before retiring after 12 years, making 23 years in Law Enforcement all together. FRED C. IHLENFELDT, SR. Fred C. Ihlenfeldt, Sr., age 80, of town of Canton, Kewaunee County, died Thursday, April 27, 2000, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2000, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Creeks. Rev. Maurice L. Hoppe will officiate with entombment in the Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Fred was born February 15, 1920, in the town of Canton, Kewaunee County, son of the late Fred and Mae Schultz Ihlenfeldt. He married the former Dorothy Levy on June 30, 1945, in Kewaunee. He owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Carlton, Kewaunee County, and a custom tiling business for many years. Mr. Ihlenfeldt also worked for the C. Reiss Coal Company for many years.
