MRS. PFEIL DIES AT HOME IN PLYMOUTH
Plymouth—Mrs. Arthur Pfeil, 77, life-long Sheboygan county 
resident, passed away today at her home, 503 E. Main street, 
following an illness of six weeks. Nee Lena Deicher, the 
deceased was born June 11, 1868, in the town of Rhine, the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Deicher. She was married to 
Arthur H. Pfeil on May 15, 1890, in Rhine township, and the 
couple lived on the homestead farm there until 1900. They 
then made their home near Glenbeulah until 1943, when they 
moved to Plymouth to establish residence. Mrs. Pfeil was a 
member of the Royal Neighbors of Glenbeulah.  
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Leo 
(Claudia) O’Brein, Plymouth, and Mrs. George (Ramona) Schmidt, 
town Herman; one son, Allen, Mt. Calvary; a grandchild,  
(private); three brothers, Adam Deicher and Dr. Harry Deicher, 
Plymouth and Herman Deicher, Beaver Dam, and a sister, Mrs. 
John Luth, Glenbeulah. Her parents, two sisters and six 
brothers preceded her in death. 
Funeral services will be held at the Wittkopp Funeral home with
the Rev. Samuel Bullough, pastor of the First Congregational 
church of Plymouth, officiating. Burial will be made in 
Woodlawn cemetery.

Arthur H. Pfeil, 92, a former Plymouth resident, died Monday 
at a Sheboygan nursing home following a lingering illness. 
A native of the Town of Rhine, he was born March 7, 1866, a 
son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Pfeil. His marriage 
to Lena Deicher took place May 15, 1890. In 1900 the couple 
began farming in the Town of Plymouth, remaining there for 
42 years until moving into the City of Plymouth in 1943. Mrs. 
Pfeil died in 1946.  
Surviving are a son, Allen D. of Mount Calvary; two daughters, 
Mrs. Leo O’Brien (Claudia) of Plymouth and Mrs. George Schmitz 
(Ramona) of Sheboygan; and a granddaughter. He was preceded 
in death by four brothers and four sisters.  
Private services will be held at the Wittkopp Funeral home in 
Plymouth Thursday with the Rev. Samuel Bullough, pastor of 
First Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in 
Woodlawn Cemetery.
