Math. Klauck Rites Held
Mathew Klauck, aged 77, passed away Thursday morning at the St. Nicholas
hospital in Sheboygan nine days after the death of his wife. The deceased
was born in Mequon, on June 26, 1863, attended the district school and 
learned the blacksmith trade.
He married Magdalena Junk at School Hill. The couple made their home at
Louis Corners for eight years, moving to Hayton later. At both places
Mr. Klauck ran a blacksmith shop. In 1904 the family moved to Sheboygan,
where Mr. Klauck continued blacksmithing.
For the past year and a half he was employed at the city tool house as
blacksmith. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Peter Claver
church.
His first wife died on March 21, 1926, and in 1929 he married Mrs. Amelia
Jolin of Sheboygan. She died April 8. Two daughters and a son also preceded
him in death.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Hans Nelson; a son George, a stepson, John
Derler, all of Sheboygan; 12 granchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three
sisters and five brothers, namely, Frank and John of Sheboygan, Henry of 
Withee, Bernard of Milwaukee, Nicholas of Kiel, Mrs. Frank Grott of Cleveland,
Mrs. John Meinert and Mrs. Alvis Hein of Kiel.
Funeral services were held on Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Ramm
Funeral Home, and at 9 o'clock at the St. Peter Claver church, with the Rev.
C.J. Hausner officiating. Burial was made in the Holy Cross cemetery.

Klauck, Mrs. Alvis Hein, Mrs. John Meinert, Sr., Mrs. Walter Balz, and 
Raymond and Isadore Klauck.

German newpaper obituary, Kiel, August 24, 1915
A week ago Thursday, Henry Klein died of thyroid consumption. He reached the
age of 53 years, 4 months and 8 days. Mr. Klein, who was a life long resident of
the area, was well known. He was born on April 5, 1862 in the town of Rhine and
was raised there. In 1887, Anna Dietrich and Mr. Klein were married. She was
born in the town of Meeme. They settle on a farm in that Town.
He came to Kiel where he managed a furniture store, but moved onto a farm in
New Holstein. After two years, he returned to Kiel where he took a job with the
Standard Oil Co., which he kept until April of this year, when his health forced
him to resign his position.
Surviving are his wife; two children, John W. and Mamie; two sisters and a
brother.
The funeral took place Monday morning at Saints Peter & Paul Church with Rev.
Kolbe officiating.
The Kiel’s Choir sang hymns. The fire department and the E.F.U. acted as
pallbearers. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Anna Klein, widow of the late Henry Klein, and former
resident of this city, passed away Sunday evening at the 
home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Faust 
in the town of Meeme. She had been ill for a long time.
The deceased was born Anna Dietrich, January 18, 1868, and on
March 8, 1887 she was married to Henry Klein of the town of 
Rhine. Following their marriage the couple moved onto a farm
in the town of Meeme, and then moved to Kiel where they lived 
for 44 years. Five years ago Mrs. Klein moved to the town of 
Meeme, where she made her home with her daughter.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mamie Faust; 11 
grandchildren; one great grandchild and one brother, 
William Dietrich, town of Meeme. Her husband preceded 
her in death 29 years ago, and one son, John, passed 
away in 1937.

Meiselwitz Funeral Home at 9 o’chck, and at 9:30 o’clock at

member of the Christian Mothers' Society, who recited the 
rosary at the church at 7:30 p. m. Tuesday.

resident of this community, passed away Sunday evening at the home
of her son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Faust, town of
Meeme, Manitowoc county, after a lingering illness.
The deceased was born Anna Dietrich, on Jan. 18, 1868, and on March
6, 1887, was united in marriage with Henry Klein, town of Rhine.
Following their marriage the couple moved to a farm in the town of
Meeme, and then moved to Kiel where they lived for 44 years. Five
years ago, Mrs. Klein moved to the town of Meeme where she made her
home with her daughter.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mamie Faust; 11 grandchildren;
one great grandchild and one brother, William Dietrich, town of
