Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Anna for Thomas Benson, 72, Elkhart
Lake resident who died Wednesday nnight at Plymouth hospital after a short
illness. The Rev. J.H. Schmidt officiated at the services. Mr. Benson was born
Aug. 31, 1855, in New York and came to Wisconsin when 3 years of age with his
parents, who settled in Sheboygan county. Until three years ago he resided in
the Town of Russell, operating a threshing machine outfit until six years ago.
The surviving relatives are two brothers, James of Elkhart Lake and Richard of
Merrill, and a sister, Mrs. David Varry, who lives in Michigan.
